Hi Mate, i know this is 3 years old but if you see this can you let me know if you had any fuel mapping done for the exhaust or not.. Is it ok to run that full exhaust without mapping it?
great video mate! Been eyeing on one for a while, why did you import it from Japan? I am planning to get one from the Hong Kong Dealership, was it cheaper?
thanks man, the reason I imported it was because the 1 and only yamaha dealer here had absolutely appalling customer service. DO NOT even bother. I called them, they said they had 2 in stock, i went the very next morning and they told me they were sold. I said can i order one, they said cannot, have to wait for 2020 pricing. (this was November 2019) said not available until July 2020. They were a disgrace. Never, ever, ever going near them again. Anyway I used a dealer who specifies in importing Japanese bikes not just Yamaha. He was absolutely brilliant. Night and Day compared to the official yamaha. Do yourself a favour and avoid MLT Yamaha like the Plague. The import (albeit it a 2018 model) was brand new prob demo bike with 800km on it, all the fees and rego etc, was cheaper than official dealer here!
Andrew Holtham wow! MLT sounds horrible. Would you mind sharing the name of the dealer you imported your XSR with? Thanks a lot man for the insight on MLT!
@@hkrider Yeah, see above comments about MLT, I cannot stress enough, AVOID. DS gave me 1 month as it was a used bike he imported (800km on it). I think he said if it was brand new he'd do 3 months
Hey Davide, no I didn't remap it, I might in future, I bought a Booster Plug, and that just helped with reducing the popping and crackling, and much less engine braking. Its quite good.
Did you have to do anything special for the M-flash LED's to work? As far as I know the only thing needed is a new relay. But I do see there are pre-wired versions available which are more expensive but I'm not sure what exactly that does for you e.g. www.broguemotorcycles.com/taillightsandblinkers/motogadget-m-blaze-pin-turn-signals
hey man, so yeah relay is just to stop hyper flash, cos LED's have less resistance than the old ones?? i think haha. So thats just a simple remove the old, plug in the new. When i got my LED turn signals brogue didn't offer them so i got them direct from moto-gadget. They came with just the bare wire, a black and a red. very very narrow wire, super tiny, i couldn't use wire strippers, had to use cutters to carefully peal the insulation back. So the Brogue ones will just be prewired so you can simply unplug your stock ones and plug in the new ones. Saves crimping and stuff. The Brogue ones are def more expensive $115 USD for a pair vs 38EURO for 1. But it saves you wiring. It wasn't too difficult, just depends if you can be bothered.
Mate, I’m in HK and got the XSR700 as well, made some mods, would love to share experience on the road !
Brilliantly done! i like the audio very nicely recorded!
Love the revised speedo position 👌

If you end up doing the fork covers and gaiters I hope you make a video on it! Haven't seen many videos on that yet
Hi!
How loud would you say this exhaust is compared to the stock one?
Nice bike!

@@mmuzaffar520 yeah man no worries, they just don't deserve the business.
Go and see Dave Sui at DS Moto in Tai Kok Tsui. See what he can do for you.
@@andrewholtham does DS Moto offer a warrantee? I wanted to order a bike from MLT but the delivery time is November.

How loud is it on a scale to 1-10. 1 being stock and 10 being ear bleeding/annoying
Hmm hard to say, its certainly not annoying, no matter how long you ride, highway etc. I'd say maybe 6. Its perfect really
where I can buy those mirrors? nice mods mate, big up for ur choices
Thank you Daniele, I just got them off Amazon. They are Kemimoto's.
After installing the sc-project exhaust, did you have to remap the ECU? thanks bye
