You can buy drill pens for square drills. A tip I picked up was to use a credit card to ensure your border edge lines are perfectly straight. If you set your borders straight then it should be easier to keep your square drills straight. Also to fit the drill up against the edge, flush with a previously placed drill. It really boils down to individual technique.
Thanks for the tip. I've completed quite a few but i'm always looking for new tips and tricks. I'm usually so meticulous with the square drills I hate the spaces that form in between the drills. I believe some of the stones are not all the same size. Like its off by a millimeter which you can't tell by just looking at them. The DP that I was working on up until 20mins ago didn't have the symbol that was on the painting on the symbol grid? Like I completed the entire bottom portion and when I got to that symbol it was not showing anywhere. How about that😤. Well anyway I guess that one is going in the incomplete pile. Boy i'm annoyed
@@LormaMargosiak I have no idea what you are referring to. I think my comment was referring to tips on how to get the stones to look more uniformed with less spaces.
I enjoyed your tutorial, thank you. i am having trouble figuring out where to buy the kits, and prices. I will appreciate any information. Thank you Dawnelle
i am working my 1st square DP where the drill keep popping off...I am setting them carefully straight down--but they don't seem to be sticking well enough...very frustrating. thank you for your tutorial on the up/down method..hugs, Julierose
I bought a diamond painting from eBay and I had to do it but they sent me the wrong colors! I m now doing a square one which was customized and it’s not hard at all
I have the same problem. I'm doing a large 60x80 and it's a mess the difference in the drills made it squiggly and I'm very upset. Cost $50 off aliexpress and they wont even respond to my emails I had ordered another from different seller hoping it's better .
This is NOT because of the painting. It’s because you bought it from WISH,!! There stuff is fine but not trust worthy and THIS WAS BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT IT FROM THEM!
While I agree there are people in this world that want things for free, I completely understand why she is unhappy. This particular image should not have been sold on such a small scale.

I didn't know that they had different pens for square drills.
Yes! I prefer the round drills
Thank you so much, the tip how to pick up the drills realy changed my technic.
Thanks for the tip. I’m a beginner and I have lots of gaps. Now I know to keep the pen straight.
I dont care for the square drills. I dont have the patience. A very informative video. Thankyou.
I'm doing my first one now, and am here out of frustration! They also seem so much smaller than the round, and my eyes are too old.
@@nsbd90now i like how i can plop the round drills down. The squares, have to be placed like a puzzle.

It was only one size she should not have bought it . Everyone knows if you want great detail you need to go big .

@@deloreskotlarz8635 if they won't respond to you then give them a bad review.😁
Have you used the ruler do you recommend it
What magnifier do you use please ? Thank you
That depends on the quality of the photo. If it’s a low quality photo bigger isn’t always better
I hate the square ones! But thank you for this video going to try again to get it right!
I will never order a square drill project again. I appreciate your patience and tips but the squares are too difficult to place well.
My mum says my hand is not stable to do multi placer
