I know this video will cause lots of discussions, and here are my intentions and ideas even before I have arrived. I had exchanged lots of little money to give away while I explored the Pyramids. That was the conclusion I reached after doing my research. I intended to support the people working there, including police, security, hustlers, and cleaners. You have to understand that is how tourist places work in Egypt. Tipping culture is crazy; every kindness and "Where are you from?" means give me some money. So I was ready for it. Even when you are far from the police behind the pyramids, they would whistle you aggressively to call you closer and then ask where you are from and if you want to climb the pyramid with a few stones. That basically translates into, "Give me some cash." As with everywhere else in the country, my intentions were good, to help and be nice, but many people tried to take advantage of me, especially fake security at the entrance with the police who showed me his gun as a threat. I managed to capture my whole experience. I still love Egypt and would love to be back, except for the Pyramids. I also think the historical side of being visited by 15 million people yearly should be better organized. Ancient Egyptians would be ashamed of the current state of the site. With all the respect and love! Davud

I like your honesty and authenticity in your videos It's crazy. You gave the camel guy more than 10% of Egypt minimum wage. But he still wants more. They will never be happy.
At 11:52, unfortunately no, the camel isn't being taken care of well. The camel is thin, all of its skin is sun damaged, wrinkly, dry, and not supple and full of life as it should be, and its facial countenance clearly expresses its sadness and terrible physical condition. Also, the camels legs are very weak, evident by the way it walks at 13:09 and the trouble it has when sitting down. The guy managing the camel is doing a terrible job of it and is neglecting the camel, bordering on abusing it. I also dont understand how they can even claim to treat the camels well despite not having any containers of water near the camel.

I appreciate you giving the cleaners and real workers money they deserve. And I do understand that you hand every guard, seller, camel-guy extra money and more than they deserve only to be left alone and go on with your day. But this is also how this behavior started to develop. Imagine not so "privileged" people, gathering all their savings for the dream to see the pyramids and THEIR hassle with these people because they are used to get alot of unneccesary extra money from people like you. Dont get me wrong. I watched all of your content and I really enjoy it and support you. But I do think just handing out cash as you go to "shut them up" and save time/trouble and therefor basically support their constant nagging and begging is what makes it worse for other tourists and visitors that are not as fortunate as you and cannot afford throwing bills after bills at them. With that said I still want to thank you for the authentic insight in egyptian culture and fantastic views of the ancient sites. And congratulations that you are able to visit places many people dream of probably till the end of their lives. Take care, stay safe and good luck on your next trips.

Better not to give any money, 10 pound is like nothing or a insult it’s like 16 cents in dollars 🤦♀️ Plus the police should not ask for anything, its a insult for the country Love your content by the way
10 egy pound for just 1 person you meet. It adds up. Davud knows that. They do this to atleast 100 people per day, so that's equivalent to $20 per day just by doing nothing. That covers i would think their breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks!
@LouisaH864 Egypt government is too busy finishing up their New Administrative Region or whatever that is. They didn't even have the money for it and loaned $$$$$ to build something unnecessary, instead of making use of the money for something long term

What's funny is that when you said "Japanese Yen" to the guy with the statues, it looked like he was going to walk away until you said, "Just kidding". 😂😂
Thank you brother for keeping it real. It’s it heartwarming that you support these people. Despite their hassling, they are in need and the majority of them are good people and deserve to be helped. I’m glad you can see beyond that hassling behavior. Wish you luck. And please remove the gold bracelet. It’s not allowed for men in Islam to wear gold.
I remember being in Egypt 14 years go. I was 16 yo. I came with tour group. We had some time for us to walk around. A camel guy approached me offering have a seat on the camel and take picture for me. Ones i was on the camel and wanted to come down he asked me for €200. I didn't had that much on me so he start taking me away from pyramids. I was shouting to the Police officer "Help me! HELP!" But the police officer who clearly see me turn his head away. I agreed to pay this 200 but handled only 20 Egypt pounds and run away. But in regards to these videos... i cant believe how prices went up. I feel like i am sure back by then 2010 10 Egyptian pounds were about £1. I was buying cigarettes in locals only shop for employees of hotel for only 7 Egyptian pounds while in hotel shop it was for about 3-4 euroes.
1:53 Sorry to say Davud but its don't look nice to give him money i know your intentions are good but its encouraging corruption & their habits to ask for money from everyone even if someone don't want to give them money or don't have enough money for donations.
And I also will NEVER visit your country because I heard of some people who met a few bad people from it at touristic areas even though 99% of the people are good.
Amazing video, I’m more amazed every time I see a video with the Pyramids. I don’t understand why there isn’t a better effort by the Government to control what is going on there with the police to all the other scammers? Theres 50 million people visiting your Country to see them and everyone leaves feeling the same way of being harassed. How much was a ticket to get in? I really thought it would be more organized. When the guy started getting more aggressive at the gate about the camera I was impressed the way you handled it cause I might have gotten very upset and started going back at him, but the fact he thought you took the mic off so he thought his payoff wasn’t being heard is a joke and especially for a $1. Great video 👍
I would not give any money to any of them and not ask a single question to any of them unless they were my paid guide. None of them deserve anything, because they see tourists/visitors as not fellow humans, but walking Cash machines. Anytime Ive been harrased by touts, aggressive transport drivers or aggressive sellers in other countries, its always best to not say no, not say anything as Davud mentioned before. Just walk on your way, ignore them, I also do this to sellers in my own country in Australia who stand in front of supermarkets trying to sell or get donations for some B.S organisation, hassling everyone who is walking past. Do not give them one second of attention. They are the worst characters on this earth, and this is not a respectable or decent way to make a living.
@@halukkilic3171I would not go as far to say they are the worst people on earth. But they are certainly up there. They actually distract people from chipping into actual charity.
honestly Oracle, i get what you’re saying mqn. I’m an Egyptian myself and what most foreigners don’t get is that this happens to Egyptians too. (Especially wealthy ones) Really nice neighborhoods get ruined by their scum alike and it really frustrates me. Whether it’s on the metro, sidewalk or infront of your goddamn apartment building. What is worse is that they bribe the police not to do anything even if they see them in action. However when they don’t pay the police. They storm their bases since they are mostly organized gangs. Also did i mention that most of them are fake? Tons of raids have been done to those who don’t pay up and most of them are found in literal hundreds of thousands of egyptian pounds in pure cash change. What is EVEN worse is that they take advantage of children and disabled people for “sympathy” it’s a common tactic. WHAT’S EVEN EVEN worse, is that they kidnap these children after being born at a nursery from a hospital. All these are accounted reports. I can’t imagine being one of them finding out they were kidnapped as a baby to be a pawn for begging and finding out that your “mother” is not your real mother and that she kidnapped you when you were just born. Sad country i live in man. If you are wondering where actual poor people are in Egypt then. They live in areas like El monib and places alike actually working to provide for their families. Despite their rough life, they are so nice, unlike fake beggers. There are so many problems and more details but this already got too long. If u actually read all this, thank you and i hope this gets out.
I recommend that you should make a video about the modern part of egypt like new cairo, madinaty, new administrative capital, shorouk, rehab etc. to give people an idea of the modern part of egypt which will give them the idea that it isnt only historical but it also has a modern part
First thing I'm buying is a scarf like yours! How did you learn to tie it like that ? I really like it. Would it be similar to a palistineian keffiya ?
They’ve probably stolen it from some Yankee..you really think this shameless illiterate Stone Age scamming and begging Egyptian scavengers ever heard of Oklahoma? They never left the place they’ve living in with their donkeys, goats and sheep’s
30:45 They are probably asking if you want to pay in the US dollar or the Egyptian pound because the two currencies have a different purchasing power parity - They wanna charge you more fairly (or squarely) by the strength of your currency and not just by the mere Forex rate If you like, go explore the cost of living section. Link in bio
It’s crazy how IF you do give or offer money they expect and demand more. This is what makes other tourist not give anything at all. I’m surprised they haven’t learned this yet. 🤷♀️ Thank you for showing us the beauty of the pyramid regardless. 👍
Davud. I am a fan of your videos. I like the way you explain things and the approach that you have to the new places that you visit. May I make a suggestion that I feel will improve your videos? I realised the problem when I was following your trip in Egypt.. that contained many unpleasant interactions with locals.. too many such interactions.. to such an extent that I, and others, felt- Egypt, I wouldn't want to go there- What an unpleasant place, and so on.. Better go with a group.. My feelings is that something is missing in your videos and if you add this, a better view will be obtained of the places you visit . What you need to do is to find one or two intelligent people from the country, who are able to speak English, and have some sort of discussion with them as to certain aspects of the country, including history, society and politics.. and sites. When you visit a country and cannot speak a language, such as Arabic, and locals mostly have no English understanding, there is a level of primitive life that seems so negative to the viewer. From such things one cannot get a good picture.. I hope you'll try to follow my suggestion..I think the quality of the videos will increase and a better picture comes out, too. Best wishes from Jerusalem, Israel.
❤❤from Iran. I recommend everyone read the book written by "michele peyramaure" named "Cleopatre reine du Nil".(کنیز ملکه ی مصر) I read it in french but you can read it in english. It is the memoreis of chermion the closest and most trusted servant of cleopatra. She has written every little memory of herself of living close to cleopatra as her servant. You can literaly travel back in time, since the book has got wonderful details.
@@OfficeV. No this is not a fantasy book my friend. Chermion was literated and documented most of the details. I think the writer of the book has just edited what Chermion documented. Its abdolutely based on true history.
Once a friend of mine visited Egypt with her husband (all Germans). She told me afterwards: There are 2 sorts of people we met in Egypt. Truely nice people which we could not talk to because we don't speak Arabic and all the people that deal with tourists. They were all crap. You can't trust them, they are impertinent and want to scam you. I am just at point 20:51 and I have to say: I would be pissed by the behaviour of all these guys who wanted insane more money for tip. Disgusting. I don't think I could enjoy a journey into this place because of these people. What a shame.
I have been watching you for years, I'm indian myself born in UK. I face same problems in India when I visit, they treat my like a foreigner charge double price. But Egypt is a different place altogether. They don't leave you, rob you
The more you hand out money without reason, the more locals will expect tourists to do the same, creating a culture of entitlement. Worse, they may harass others who refuse. By giving in, you’re enabling and perpetuating this harmful behaviour. Stand your ground and say no, especially when it’s undeserved. Let’s break this cycle rather than contribute to the problem.

@ minute 2:23 Davud, I can't get over the size of the sun! WOW! Thank yo ufor this wonderful tour and letting us know about the know how's to get around all the sells men, lol
The best youtube channel travel dude in the business!
Those who deserve it are always very very grateful and they are blessed with Gods Mercy, but as well the Mercy and blessings upon amazing people like you Davud. Thanks.
Davud, your videos are always fantastic, and we never miss them here in Sri Lanka! Thanks for sharing such quality content. Looking forward to the next one-wish you all the best! ❤️💯🤗🇱🇰
Wonderful video. Great commentary. Thank you from Australia. ☕️😎🦘
My bro thank you from New Zealand Im a fan of your videos now it is such a beautiful place and to see how u navigate your surroundings in real time is a blessing
The two people cleaning u gave money to, very kind of you, God bless you ❤❤🥹🥹
a very patient and generous man ...upload more videos of country you visit and im not tired to watch it again and again
The piramids are amazing with the tombs and the other places in the videos. But the country is very nice a0nd bautyful .i like hou jou handel the scammers❤❤❤❤❤

Its like a whole country of money hungry vultures lol
Name one country who isn't money hungry?
@@halukkilic3171Yes there are countries but not like this 😂 not every citizen ask for money from tourists lol
I heard it's just the touristic places where these vultures are. Outside from that, no one expects a tip from you just by asking where you're from
@@vosk6481 it just seems really bad. I dont know if you been to Cambodia or Laos but its like this but everywhere. Beggers in large groups just gang up on you. This seems worse because police are in on it, at least in asian countries police will help get them away from you
@@TipiTip_YT Ok you failed the mission. It was expected.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for creating such wonderful content. Your videos are always so visually stunning and informative. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into them. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The more people give the more they would expect. You're not obliged to give.
Egyptian to self.
We have a ATM from Azerbaijan!
Thank you, Thank you!
Better not to give any money, 10 pound is like nothing or a insult it’s like 16 cents in dollars 🤦♀️
Plus the police should not ask for anything, its a insult for the country
Love your content by the way
10 egy pound for just 1 person you meet. It adds up. Davud knows that. They do this to atleast 100 people per day, so that's equivalent to $20 per day just by doing nothing. That covers i would think their breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks!
@@vosk6481 the government should do something about this, this police begging for money gives a bad taste in my mouth
@LouisaH864 Egypt government is too busy finishing up their New Administrative Region or whatever that is. They didn't even have the money for it and loaned $$$$$ to build something unnecessary, instead of making use of the money for something long term
@@vosk6481 you are right, they don’t care and spent the money on a new city 🤦♀️

Will be visiting soon. These videos are so helpful!
My brother im Egyptian i know how people could be sometimes but Egypt is beautiful just have a kind guide or trustworthy friend to guide don't think all Egyptian are bad i actually feel bad when people think this of us I don't blame you but those people are just unbelievable😢 , love from Egypt❤
Can you just ignore these people at the pyramids? Why do you have to give them any money
Yes you can..he chooses to engage with them!
This guy wearing like Gulf countries to tell people I'm a millionaire 😂
Right this seems like he wants to tbh lol
it looks amazing the sun, great video. Thanks
You kill me every time when you say Swiss franc.😭😂
Would love to see the pyramids in person but all that haggling would drive me crazy! Makes me not wanting to go.
Come to Egypt but don't go the the pyramids lololol
Go with a tour group. It doesn't happen.
I was getting really interested in planning a trip. Would like to visit the pyramids and valley of the kings, but fuk that to many vultures.
It’s not allowed for men in Islam to wear gold.
if a camel says: "ouggghhh", that means: "bro 1000 pound is to much, my boss is a scammer🐫"
You're a good man brother, You have good energy..
Great video don't know why I've not seen you're channel! Thankyou
1:53 Sorry to say Davud but its don't look nice to give him money i know your intentions are good but its encouraging corruption & their habits to ask for money from everyone even if someone don't want to give them money or don't have enough money for donations.
well said...he is just giving away money with a handshake
You handled them well David
Shame on the scammers 😢
I will NEVER visit Egypt
No need
And I also will NEVER visit your country because I heard of some people who met a few bad people from it at touristic areas even though 99% of the people are good.
Egypt is very rich country and a very hospitable people
You think 🤔
are you mantak@@ahmedelsheikh4608
So sorry about what you had to go through to show us these wonders.. safe travels brother. Love from 🇱🇰
I would not give any money to any of them and not ask a single question to any of them unless they were my paid guide.
Exactly, andwhst does this moron?,..he reward them
Worst characters on this earth? then my friend - you don't know your earth...at all.
@@halukkilic3171 These people are no better than criminals. They are evil in their hearts.
تعجبني جدا مساعدتك للآخرين كل الذى أعطيته هو محتاج بالفعل
Great advice 💐💐💐
I recommend that you should make a video about the modern part of egypt like new cairo, madinaty, new administrative capital, shorouk, rehab etc. to give people an idea of the modern part of egypt which will give them the idea that it isnt only historical but it also has a modern part
thx u for feeding camels and the poor guy walking the camel through the desert :3
In 43:20 the guy is cursing him in arabic even after taking the money, outrageous and sick
You are kind hearted ❤
Closest I can think in English for "I give a hand, they take the arm" would be "I give them an inch, they took a mile"
Teşekkürler, Bu videoyu izlediğim iyi oldu bende gitmeyi düşünüyorum.

In Egypt, the only creatures that haven't tried to scam you so far are the camels and horses!
I’ve never seen that. Give out of kindness and they ask for more.
We have the same saying: if you offer a finger, they take your hand; if you offer a hand, they take your arm.
I love your videos
Wow give them an inch and they try and take a mile 😮 that was funny when you told him your name was David beckem 😅😂
Just getting a camel 🐫 ride seems to be very stressful 🙃
I would say around 17:29 best view of trip. Riding a camel with no people, no beggars, and mostly desert with pyramids in background.
You did good, Davud, by giving to those who clean and never begged for it.
43:20 I know Arabic and the strange thing is that he insulted you and ur Mother after you gave him money!!
That made me very angry

the man with the statues insulted you after u gave him the money 💀
Funny seeing a Oklahoma basketball jersey all the way in Egypt 😂😂 half of America don’t even know our state exist
They’ve probably stolen it from some Yankee..you really think this shameless illiterate Stone Age scamming and begging Egyptian scavengers ever heard of Oklahoma?
They never left the place they’ve living in with their donkeys, goats and sheep’s
30:45 They are probably asking if you want to pay in the US dollar or the Egyptian pound because the two currencies have a different purchasing power parity - They wanna charge you more fairly (or squarely) by the strength of your currency and not just by the mere Forex rate
If you like, go explore the cost of living section. Link in bio
I just watched lots of your videos in Sri Lanka and came to see this. Oh my god the difference
So good Davud❤❤❤❤
Good job bro ❤
Happy! You make Happy! 😂😂😂
When I compare your all videos Sri Lanka has good hospitality.❤
It’s crazy how IF you do give or offer money they expect and demand more. This is what makes other tourist not give anything at all. I’m surprised they haven’t learned this yet. 🤷♀️ Thank you for showing us the beauty of the pyramid regardless. 👍
Great video!
Intelligent people are very hard to find in Egypt
I can't believe how many brothers you have . What a huge family your from
❤❤from Iran. I recommend everyone read the book written by "michele peyramaure" named
"Cleopatre reine du Nil".(کنیز ملکه ی مصر) I read it in french but you can read it in english.
Davud your videos are amazing if possible could you make a tour video of the gem please 🙏
43:20 He actually cursed you , these scammers must be removed from the pyramids!

@@cyclomb no one . the government is scamming people too
I agree, even I as an Egyptian hate going to the pyramids because they just ruin your day.
They make you feel angry so rude
You are very kind and honest Davud
I have been watching you for years, I'm indian myself born in UK. I face same problems in India when I visit, they treat my like a foreigner charge double price. But Egypt is a different place altogether. They don't leave you, rob you
Egypt is safer than India. Stop touching lizards
Nah, maybe they rob you in India, idk, but here in Egypt they might constantly ask you for money, but they are inoffensive, they will never rob you.
@@cyclombnahhhh, Egypt and India are both shytholes
India = India in Asia
Egypt = India & Bangladesh in North Africa
The more you hand out money without reason, the more locals will expect tourists to do the same, creating a culture of entitlement. Worse, they may harass others who refuse. By giving in, you’re enabling and perpetuating this harmful behaviour. Stand your ground and say no, especially when it’s undeserved. Let’s break this cycle rather than contribute to the problem.
The hustler asked you for your gold bracelet? 😂 You should ask him for the Camel in return 😂
Wonderful video my friend
That civilization was more developed then us, they had amazing technology to build this. And these all are the part of a huge tech complex , nothing about a religion etc....🎉
