    Great information, review. Just what I was looking for. The Wright Stander 36” has a over hang on the deck from memory, the Toro 36” deck is flush with the tyres does the no over hang on the deck sort of bug you or is it something you would get use to.

      Couple things...the 36" Wright did have a narrower width tire wise allowing the deck to stick out past the tires. Narrower width usually means less stability, but between the 2 I don't see any real stability difference. The Wright sits you pretty low and between the wheels. Toro much higher. Up and outta the way stance. My only minor thing when it comes to the Toro deck is the its squared off on the front corners where the Wright is rounded. I prefer the rounded just in case you're running down a fence line and bump it. The rounded kinda rolls off it. The square corners of the Toro wanna bite. Getting use to the deck not sticking out wasn't an issue at all! The comfort, cut and reliability of the Toro, hands down, make it the best unit I've owned thus far. Thanks for the comment and if this helped like and sub Mowtown!

    This is the only mower that I would even consider buying for my business but in my area 90% of my clients have small patches of lawn that are always behind something or you have to take a few stairs to get to it so I only use 21" Honda push mowers which can be lifted by to guys over these obstacles. But if I ever get a bit larger yards this 36" Toro Grandstand would be ideal. Not to expensive, not too large... Unfortunately I have a lot of small yards and loose a lot of time on travel so my business is kind of stuck. But then again, I don't want to work 10 hours shifts, I'm more of a weekend warrior..

    I ordered one and will get it in February. I have 38 inch gates here and it is mostly flat. I am hoping it does well for me in my business

    The new Exmark SStaris is overly hot between the platform as well. I may look at Toro. Thanks for the review!

    Good video especially when you talk about dealer support I'm in the same situation where I live there's at least four dealers that's within a 18 or 30 minute drive from me cooperativity deal with is Toral and they have done right by me in fact this upcoming week or next week I should say I'm going to purchase a 36in grandstand Toro along with the Toro 4000 they gave that zero turn a different look especially up in the front end of it good video my man

    Hey mate is that mulch kit? Do u need mulch kit or does grass get flicked everywhere?

    • @trod7374
      @trod7374  Рік тому +1

      I think that mulch kit was $250. Its been a few years since I bought it. It keeps the grass from shooting out the side of the mower and going everywhere. 1 negative is that you can get the mower deck clogged easier if you mow too fast...mainly in really tall wet conditions.

      @@trod7374 yea I have Toro zero turn and I had mulch kit and I was taking it off all time when I was mowing long yards.

    I’ll take the standing platform on the toro any day over the ones where you stand between the wheels. Much more comfortable and you can use shift your weight a lot better on hillsides.

    why can't people doing reviews of mowers just start the video, start the mower, use it for 2-3 min, shut it off, and then and only then, begin to talk... and review it? you're no worse than anyone else, I'm not picking on you for any reason other than this video was the straw that broke the camel's back. I can't find a single review with the mower actually MOWING. that being said, the review was informative, I apologize for singling YOU out, and thank you.

    Nice review👍🏿I run a snapper pro walk behind right now I’m looking to sell it and get a New 2019 Toro 52”Grandstand it’s a leftover and the dealer is asking $7830 out the door. What do you pay for that unit ? Do you know how much they sell a 52”grandstand for in your area ?

    • @trod7374
      @trod7374  4 роки тому +1

      7,830 is a hell of a deal for that unit. I think I paid 8,200 with the mulch kit (300.00)? for my 36"...I'm in FL...I had a 2016 48" Grandstand before this 36". It was an awesome machine as well! If I ever get some larger properties I'll be looking at the 52" Grandstand for sure! Thanks for the comment and Subscribe if you could. Trying to grow the channel. Thx Grassology!

    awesome video, thanks for your review. I also had and sold my wright 36 and 52 stander x. they were built like a tank but the cut quality was so so. Bought the Toro grandstand 36 and the z master 4000 pro 52 deck. going to put on a grassflap on the 36, and ordered the twin bagging system for the sit-down. haven't cut lawns with them yet, picked them up yesterday can't wait to see how they perform. what I like about Toro, is they offer 2 years unlimited hours and 3 additional years warranty. again thanks for the great thorough review on your 36 grandstand

      Might have to look into that mower too. I only have a couple properties that I need to bag for...primarily leaves during the off season, so that might be a better option for me as well! Thx for the info!

      @@trod7374 for this coming mowing season, I'm going to use the sit-down for all properties without gates bagging the grass, and with the backyard gates going to mulch with the 36. Hoping from this change I can provide a cleaner cut and to justify charging few more dollars. also so true with the wright stander putting out heat by the pad

    A small update... I was browsing the internet the other day, kind of day dreaming which mower could be my first ride on/stand on machine that I could own and I remembered the Grandstand, given I have a lot of backyards with narrow doors and stuff. Anyway, I almost got a heart attack when a local Toro dealer sent me the price of this unit... The new 2022 model cost 14 000$. Mind you I'm from the EU, but the price was a massive surprise. No amount of business could cover that expense. So I gave up on the Grand stand and focused on the 50" Timecutter for those larger properties, while a pair of 21" Hondas will remain my go to machines for the fenced back yards.

    • @trod7374
      @trod7374  2 роки тому +1

      Most of my early properties has small gates to get thru, so I chose the 36. I used that 36 on large properties for a year and a half before I could add a 48 to the lineup. Now I have both and couldn't be happier. When looking at new properties that's the 1st thing I consider...backyard access! Luckily I can be selective now and chose accounts with minimum 48" opening. Toro TimeCutter has a 34 that's probably priced a little more reasonable than the GrandStand lineup. Thanks for the comment and good luck with your lawn business! PS I also have a Honda 21 HRX...wish Honda made a stand on mower!

    How do you feel about not having antiscalp rollers on the unit?

    • @trod7374
      @trod7374  4 роки тому

      Any unit will scalp given certain conditions, but I don't feel the rollers are necessary on the 36. I had a 48 GrandStand before and it would have been nice to have them on that unit. Most of my properties are uneven or have huge tree roots, etc...sorry for the late reply...been busy. Hope this helps.

    Is it hard to change deck belts on toro grandstand 36

    • @trod7374
      @trod7374  3 роки тому

      It's not the easiest thing to do for sure. Getting the tensioner spring back on is a pain by yourself. I used a make shift spring puller to remove and a ratchet strap to help put back on. Would have been easier if I removed the black bar that was in the way.

    • @trod7374

      I added a 48 Grandstand last year so the 36 sees a pretty light schedule anymore. Still gets the job done when I need her and no issues!
