Official NHL Charging Rule (Rule 607)
“Charging is the action where a player takes more than two strides or travels an excessive distance to accelerate through a body check for the purpose of punishing the opponent. This includes skating or leaving one’s feet (jumping) into the opponent to deliver a check, accelerating through a check for the purpose of punishing the opponent, or skating a great distance for the purpose of delivering a check with excessive force.”

If this "letting our wives think for us" gets any worse we're going to lose hockey as we know it. I'm 60 and I've seen 100 times more embellishment these playoffs then the rest of my life put together. Get it together and think clearly. And don't bother responding again with some irrelevant factoid and pretending that's my argument. My argument is Darcy Tucker charged every single time he threw a check and every Leafs fan had no problem with it because he was the only guy on the team with a real work ethic (and I hated him as a player - I can't put into words how much I disliked him).

As a canes fan, there is just no denying that Anderson did not perform at the level of the other teams. Not saying every goal is his fault, but at the end of the day, most others teams goalies are talked highly about, whereas Anderson is needing to be bailed out by the rest of the team.

“People don’t want to say it, but, part of playoffs (ie: hockey) is trying to hurt every player on the other team, and the more guys you take out (ie: force to stop playing through injury), the more advantage your team has”. - Brad Marchand, Boston Bruins Captain, May, 2024. FINALLY, can we ALL stop saying, “He/I wasn’t trying to hurt the guy.”? OF COURSE they are trying to “hurt” each other. If you can legally RUN A PLAYER (who is playing the puck) THROUGH THE BOARDS, this is “hockey” (this is NOT basketball; it’s the complete opposite of basketball). If the player’s shoulder is dislocated on the player, that’s HIS problem, not yours. If the guy’s ribs are cracked, that’s HIS problem, not yours. If the opponent gets a deep thigh contusion that forces him out of the 3rd period, then, that’s HIS problem, not yours, and you have done your job, as a professional hockey player. This is 100% the truth of the game; it’s what makes it one of the more unique sports in the world. This is a physical game, and the damage caused by the physicality IS INTEGRAL to the root of the game. Players are injured, ON LEGAL PLAYS, all the time. It is the very nature of the sport. The greatest players of the sport are able to roll with it. For God’s sake, it is the only (significant) professional sport that ALLOWS “FIGHTING” in the game, without an automatic ejection! So, stop thinking this game is NOT about hurting each other, if it can be accomplished under the rules of legal play. You’re being a willfully ignorant child if anyone thinks otherwise.

Disagree about Anderson in game 6 he played phenomenal for 45 minutes and Kreids just took the game over.
Canes fought their asses off just not good enough.

After seeing the commentary and the clips, florida was handed that series. Sure Boston wasn't playing great but that reffing was absolutely bullcrap

Petey got a charging penalty because he jumped up. It would have been better to call it roughing or interference

The one for Peterson was a charge because he jump into him if he didn’t jump he would’ve been fine

The NHL management is so corrupted..They wanted a game seven for the money and tried to do what ever they could to cause the Stars to lose that game.
