Mine came apart in the field and damaged the white collar. Did you say you used aluminum duct tape to replace the plastic collar inside? How much did you use? Just one wrap or several?
This is the short tripod. My top choice for leaves off using 17 hm2. Grand piece of equipment. A less than stellar performing stick in the wild can cost you some game. As more time will be needed some times to get stick position just right for shots on game. Speed (acquisition) of game KEY for higher success rates generally. And the worst the hunting conditions the more critical it is to have a smooth running trigger stick.
My thoughts already covered in earlier comments though I have archived this video for future use. Still looking forward to the air rifle squirrel/small game hunt. Went yesterday and used the same shooting sticks - thanks for your videos.
I got one of those. Works pretty good, especially turkey season.

Thanks for the info on stripping down the primos sticks. I think mine are a mk2' version as they are slightly different on the outer shaft grommet.

I got the same one, never thought about maintenance. Thanks for the quick tutorial.
You are welcome.
