Hey TNSS, On Labor Day I went to the site of an old home and hunted with my Apex, after previously hunting the site multiple times with my D2. Using the Apex, removed 12 more coins as well as an old buckle. Almost every coin came out of the soil accompanied by a nail or some other iron fragment. Now, I don’t know which channel setting was chosen on the D2 when hunted previously, but could the subject of your testing be why these targets were missed by the D2 previously?

Looking at video looks like squirrel jump to the right or ran little bit to the right after impact and then evidently fell. If I wouldn’t have heard it hit the ground I wouldn’t even have looked for it. Would have thought I missed. Hmm

That scope cam adds a whole new perspective. I'm impressed how the HM2 can shoot through the leaves so well. I was thinking you'd need absolutely clear shots due to the light weight, but I guess the speed counts for a lot too.

They should of made the ferris sound a diffrent tone than pulse signal other than that I would say it's not a bad pinpointer

Angular approach to detecting nonferrous can be loads greater too. Even though some times using channels 0 and 2 will give signal swept from best direction. So laws of average favors channel 5 and 6.

I just tried your TEK DOG program. In a word.....great. Was detecting and found a clad dime and later a small rusty hex nut. The nut was a bit smaller then a dime and 3/8" thick. Put the dime 1/8" from the nut and swept it, your program hit it just the same as your vid showed. Then I put the dime on top of the nut, same results. I tried my other six programs, all adjusted for freq shift 6, and none of hit the dime/nut combo. Good job, I'm glad I watch you.

I got two rifles in 17 mach2. Both Savages. One bolt action one semi auto. I'm surprised they aren't more popular.

The guy that does the frequency on the spectrum analyzer shows 0 to 6 on frequency shift, looks like the wave form is compressed. I am in IT(computers) now but started in Electronics I find this very interesting.

Interesting demonstration. Does changing the equivalent settings (Minelabs version of manual freq shift) on the Manticore have the same results? Just curious if it is the higher frequencies or what is running in the programming parameters.
