Yup, they're all great, but if I had to pick one to start with, it would be Cheshire, she's just very diverse for a CA and even has amazing AA capabilities when needed. Unless one is lacking in top tier BB's, and already has Richelieu, then Champagne would also be a great choice to start with.
Champagne is my favorite one, she is god damn stronk in boss fleet i swear, i saw she did almost 16k with 1 bullet (her gears r full 13), absolutely insane. Well, as expected from the first PR CV ship in this game :))))))

Real late comment, but is it a bad idea to start with UR ships before SSRs? My only finished ship atm is Monarch and I really like the design of Drake, would it be a bad idea to go for her or is it fine?
Not so new player here, just trying to give my perspective. IMO it is not bad assuming you have the ship to farm the exp needed for the reseach. My first PR ship was saint louis and it takes quite some time for me to farm the exp (because i didn't strategize properly lol). After that i started to develop Kitakaze since IJN is my majority ship atm. Once my point is enough for Azuma, i switched immediately without finishing Kitakaze. My next development is Hakuryuu - Agir - currently FdG - and later Drake I know maybe my strategy is not optimal and i could miss some potential ship, IMO what matters the most is what's your fleet composition and what ship you need to complete your squad. Hope this can help you a bit, happy playing fellow shikikan :)
I went for Chesire first because I want to clear world 13 very soon, then went for Champagne because I like french ships. I'm almost at dev 30 for all PR3 ships after 7 months because I followed your guide on what research you have to prioritize, so thank you very much (I also got a Drake gun)

I was trying to break through the 800 fp barrier and I managed to get champagne to 775 with +13 black shells and everything else. with her skill's stat boosts Im pretty sure that goes past 800.

Speaking of Yamato gun, the gold US BB gun (Triple 406mm) from gearlab is the prototype for the Iowa gun....I wonder if we'll ever get the actual Iowa gun...or they can introduce it if they ever put the Montana in PR (as they were planned to use the gun as well)?

I don't have any of the event ships, I just got them all to 75 for the tech point boost. Plenty of the Z class can be found in light construction, and quite a few backline are actually in heavy (plus Hipper, Eugen and the Deutchland sisters). Graf Zeppelin and Zeppy are both in special, and Z46 is in rotation for medals of honor Sure, you won't have Bismarck, Wesser, or Peter, but you'll have more than enough to get any of the PR ships. Just level your KMS ships up

I've got all the SR ships at 30 dev. What is the best way for me to get UR ship blueprints? Should I be running every H, G, and D project hoping to get a random UR print? Or should I run Q and T missions till a D project for a UR ships appears ? Also should I be burning blueprints in the prototype shop and buying UR prints ?
You need to talk about their quirks. Odin main feature is her ridiculous aux gun. With her main gun, barrage, torpedo and aux, she is an DPS monster. However, her armour type is heavy and her AA is moderate meaning plane damage her more. But that fine since her role as a farming ship. Champagne is super strong. One shot hits like a truck. But her main gun shot only once. So she is preferably manual. Luckily her barrage allow for a bit of leeway and her weakness still allow her to be good at what she does, a boss killer. So IMO, Odin is the machine gun, Champagne is the nuke.

@@Sirciel you can use it in a mob fleet if you like it, but it's not used today because of all the UR ships that came out since 2021

PR3 ships are all nasty (in a good way), which makes prioritizing even one of them a tough job.
Also, how good is Cheshire pre-DR25?
My opinion is that Cheshire is probably one of the best PR Ship with low investment, even with dev-20 she is pretty tank.
Very usable between dev 20-25. I've been using her since 22 and now at 29 it's one of my strongest CAs
