Thanks for putting this together! Just as your walkthroughs help tremendously with progressing in Elite, this type of content helps keep CMDRs like myself engaged and interested in the world of 3305, in spite of the often laborious grind. This Guardian lore is a great cautionary tale for the current inhabitants of the third planet in the Sol system, too. o7
Just as there is a group that is worshipping Thargoids, there is also a group of humans worshipping The Guardians. However, the group that is following the way of The Guardians is far more secretive.
@@Malgana If you go back and watch the Commander Chronicles: Retaliation - Elite Dangerous (trailer for 2.4 "The Return") you will see humans chasing a Thargoid. The Thargoid then sends out a pulse which disables all ships systems EXCEPT life support (just as they do in-game) and then looks like it's ready to leave.... until we open fire on it. Then and ONLY then it retaliates.
If I remember correctly, there were combat AI and more domestic AI. The two had a discussion about what should be done about the wars. Oddly enough, it was the domestic AI that argued reluctantly to wipe out the guardians, the combat AI had to be convinced to do it. Apparently neither really wanted to, but they ended up seeing it as the only logical choice.
It's interesting how much Guardian history mirrors the Elite human lore. I don't exactly think Frontier writers are likely to have done that on purpose, but it could be interesting if this was more due to Ram Tah's personal biases than anything else - after all, he does in fact do that quite a bit, as seen by how he presents what was in fact a clearly valid concern about the development of self-aware AI as just a bunch of backwards religious fanatics. (Or maybe it's just that the data we have from the ruins and structures comes from the side of the civil war that probably saw their opponents as precisely that.)
So there's only one item in the codex for each of the six features you will find in the guardian topic. Anyone seen any updates, even when they find another guardian site? Anyone been to one of them and turned the "Reported" into "Confirmed"?
Thank you D2EA for an informative video. You are a considerate gentlemen for explaining their history. Now I don't feel so guilty when I pillage a Guardian Site! o7
Hello, I have a question about putting ships in other ships, I know you can put fighters in a ship, but could I put another type of ship that is not a fighter? Thanks
Hi, dear ED players.. I got question too. When leveling up some module (Talking about engineering with bp in station) can i jump to G4 without un-completed G3 ? What diffrencies completed G3 and un-completed grade ? I just checked, does same effect beteween modules.. Did i waste so many materials ??!!
This is just where we are now as humanity, creating AIs and AI gods. Sure sounds ominously coincidental. Maybe, just maybe someone at FD knows more than what it is said.

Yeah, and if we aren't careful, we could be S.O.L.!
I did not know most of this stuff about guardians. Thank you!
Was just watching O.Ants history playlist. And Now DTEA puts out a lore vid. Today is a good day XD
Also First o7

I love videos like this. I knew most of the information here, but it's great having it all put together in a cohesive summary.
This puts together all the pieces I have heard/read about the Guardians. Great video!
Who in the world down-votes a video like this? Great lore info, excellent video shots, ...
Was thinking the same thing
No doubt!

Thargoids
Great video. Thanks for all the info. Keeping us informed, and entertained. More than FDEVs do for sure.
Day 21
Still rank ginding, what if the guardians vanished because of Rank grind?
😂 You maybe right!
@@KaMe-A9 Thargoids must be cheating to get all that reputation so fast
I built a mining Python in honor of the grind. I called it the "EAS Mortar and Pestle"
I always wondered, if some remote Guardians survived. It is technically very hard to destroy a Type 1 civilization.
I agree with MalicVRs theories that the Thargoids were NEVER the big baddies of the game.... the Guardians and the rogue Guardian AI were/are.

He covers it in great detail on his stream here. It's a pretty fascinating theory he has www.twitch.tv/videos/432031167?t=05h22m14s
going to the guardian sits to get mats for there tech like weapons or ship upgrades is a pain in the butt but so worth it
So the guardians basically made skynet. Nice.

The Guardians really pulled a Skynet on themselves.

Makes me wonder if he himself had somehow been compromised by the Guardian AI.
Some guardians must have escaped... and are in a permit locked area of course
More likely it's their A.I., which is still out there somewhere...
Where is this stuff found ingame? I mean I was there for the beginning of the guardian ruins but the story didn't seem to develop much.

Inside megaship only, in rescue operations for example.
But that do you mean like a eagle instead of a Condor because the only class of "ship" you can put in a fighter bay is, you guessed it, Fighters!
There was this rumor floating around about fleet carriers a little while back...lol
No is the short answer.
Thanks!✌👽
So the question is where did the killer Ai go and will they return?
So basically, the Guardian AI went all ‘Skynet’ on their butts...

Hmm, Guardian history = human history?? Guardian AI = Geth? Time for a E:D / Mass Effect crossover? Just sayin' :D
but the geth was developed by the quarians
But yeah, this is a common idea for the future of the human race.
It would apper the Guardians created the first cylons lol
Or latter day terminators.
What happened to the gaurdians that were exiled, long before the AI went psycho?
So basically its guardians: age of ultron
You didn't say anything about the Guardian Porn movies.
Ram Tah has bootlegs for download.
I am the best pilot in Elite Dangerous.
Just wanted to leave this here...
IT'S A TRAP! ~ Admiral Ackbar
What happened to the advanced A.I.?
There's a reason humans attacked the Thargoids first.
I wonder what happened to that AI?
The guardian ai is returning to sterilise the galaxy once more
