Oh how excited I was to see you reviewed Saskia! I watched your first sniff excitedly as I still remember being so captivated when I first sampled it. I find that it has a tendency to occasionally morph on a whim. Sometimes more buttery gardenia, sometimes more prickly green, sometimes more indole. All part of the fun! I'd say it's a true piece of art. Fantastic video, Persolaise! 💐
thanks for sharing another good australian perfume. Grandiflora is really good as floral perfume. i haven't tried the one you introduced but I have the jasmine one, which is one of my favorite perfume. it is not indolic, which i guess many asian don't like. its a photorealistic scent of jasmine and i highly recommend jasmine lover for a try. the one you introduced, i will definitely try it as purchasing in Australia is quite easy, just order on-line regarding the longevity and silage, the jasmine one is moderate. it wasn't so good on my skin in winter ( the time i bought it) but now its getting much better as its damn hot in sydney lately.
I always enjoy your videos even when I don’t own any of the perfumes. I do agree with you about Creed. I have never cared for that perfume house and thought their perfumes were way overpriced. I hope you enjoyed your summer holiday and I’m happy that you are back and doing videos.
The only Creed I can endure is "Fleurissimo", which was said to be the signature perfume of Princess Grace of Monaco. A very white floaral, with a 'metallic gold' touch :)
I have Akro Ink and Smoke… both are wonderful. Rise might be a pass for me (by the way, as mentioned in other videos, Akro (accro, short for accroché), is slang for addicted, or you could say hooked in English, I believe.
Cashmeran smelt pure on blotter is quite earthy, a subtle pine facet and also raspberry. There is also a spicy nuance which is more evident to me when smelling from a bottle rather than blotter, and imparts a warmth. I don't think the name really suits it. I find it comforting as you describe but also outdoorsy.
New to your channel and really enjoying your reviews 😺. Regarding Mentha Religiosa… This is latin for “menthe religieuse” which in French sounds like “mante religieuse” (praying mantis) but where “mantis” is spelt like the French word for mint, which happens to be one of the notes in this perfume…
@@PersolaiseI would think they would surely be interested in the thoughts of the nation’s leading perfume critic, a reality check might do them some good 😉
I would love it if Cresp would create an iteration of the croissant… 👌 Like a Crespified Jeux de Peau… 😘 I like Akro Rise a lot for its skin-incorporated sun, beach Holiday vibe. And also for the touch of saltiness in the aquatic part of it. Without becoming yet another cloying coconut sun tan lotion… It is reminiscent with Peau Saleh from Teo Cabanel which has a similar salty aquatic coconut vibe. A touch less sweet though compared to Rise. So Rise is slightly more gourmand and delicious… ❣️
I got to try Carmina yesterday. On me the dry down smelled exactly like the Moon candle from Evermore London. I love the candle, not so much as a perfume on me.
Actually if Olivier Cresp made a perfume smelling of bread, it could also be called Rise, because bread needs to rise before baking😂 I am thinking about this way too much.
Hmm ok before looking at this recorded live ,I Can’t believe I missed this one .. that’s fine hopefully I will not miss your futur review (I hope lol ) of the new IRIS SHALIMAR MILLÉSIME,I just posted mine but I’m trilled to know your thought I was like yes no yes no ..so little advice please let the dry down do the full job (1 hour ) … as it’s quite very different from step 1 and 2 :) can’t wait ! We really missed you this (each ) summer …
I would love a perfume capturing the vice of really good French or Italian bread full of gluten ❤❤❤ Thank you Mr. P for highlighting another small perfumer; Zuma. Will check them out
I love your writing and your streams. I noticed that you've done streams on happy, colourful, or even spooky scents. But one thing I've been curious about: can there be angry perfumes? What would those be? We hear perfumes described as aggressive in the sense that they are strong, but is that the same as the smell itself being angry? I know that there can be melancholy perfumes and some of my favourites are lonely and sad - Serge Lutens' L'Orpheline, Goutal's Encens Flamboyant. Just curious to hear your thoughts about perfumes that embrace emotions we might generally hold to be 'negative', rather than uplifting.
Thanks very much for watching. As it happens, I wrote about this on the blog more than 10 years ago... persolaise.com/2013/06/wrath-in-bottle-seven-sinfully-angry.html
I liked all lighting scenarios. The total was quite entertaining. I simply couldn't help being reminded of Count von Count of Sesame Street ;) I have searched for the Italian scents. I will get several as soon as I get to it. I also love the simple and beautiful presentation.
I love your channel and your reviews...BUT....it's hard to believe that you don't like any creeds. I agree they are ridiculous in some ways for sure but it's business...and advertising which every company does. Have you tried Bois Du Portugal? Royal oud? Erolfa? Anyway, no argument intended.
Don’t worry - I didn’t take you as being argumentative at all. My main issue is with the perfumes themselves. I just haven’t smelt a single one that I like or that I would want to wear. That said, I’m aware the brand has many fans.
Sounds like the people running that Creed event knew a thing or two about neurological entrainment. 🤭 In the wake of consumer impatience, it seems to be the only way you can sell anything these days. 😵💫 Flash, BANG, product....sex. 😂 Really appreciate these impressions. Remember not to eliminate smunnels as an option for evaluation! 😉 You can save a lot of juice in those samples.
The lighting is indeed better! Looks more natural which appears to suit you well! …a silver lining from the stormy weather. 😊
Hmmm... perhaps I need to rethink the lighting arrangement.
Thanks for watching.
I loved your excitement talking about the Sicilian fragrances. It's so enjoyable discovering an affordable yet surprisingly amazing fragrance! 😊
Yes, I was really pleased too.
Thanks for watching.

That's very kind, thank you. And yes, I've never been tempted by a single Creed.
Just the thought of salmon as a perfume note😂
With a hint of mackerel.

I'll see if I can find it some day.
@@Persolaise, excellent! I would find your opinion about it very interesting.
Interestingly Grandiflora isn’t that well known or even easily available here in Australia. Same goes for Map of heart brand. I have no idea why 🤷🏻♀️
Ah, that's curious. I wonder what the reason is.

Ah, I think someone told me this once before. Thanks very much indeed for the reminder. And I'm so glad you're enjoying the channel.
It was just a passing comment, but as a long time wearer of Dune, I need to try Pale Blue Eyes. Thanks for mentioning it. Lovely video as always.
Yes, do seek it out.
So really Creed should be feeling quite encouraged by your review of Carmina!
I should think they will take absolutely no notice of my review.
Thanks for watching.

Thanks very much for the kind words. I hope i can my hands on the Shalimar soon.
I tried a sample of Carmina and found it to be very interesting. It lasts FOREVER! The cherry 🍒 undernote is soft and musky

Couldn't get past the salmon note in Carmina
Oh dear 😂
What are your thoughts on the new Dolce Gabbana devotion scent made by Olivier Cresp?
I haven’t tried it yet.
