Hey Charlie. Just thought I'd add a little something for you and/or those who would maybe like to improve their Bolt 6 speaker system for not much money and zero modifications. I did this for my Bolt EV (2023) and I'm super happy with the results. Short answer? I personally installed 4 Sound Matrix Inspirit plug and play speakers. I feel they make a huge difference. That's the short version. More on this. Back in 2018 I had a Buick Encore with the standard 6 speaker system and was not happy with it. Searching the internet, I found a video on here on removing the door panels for a Chevy Trax (similar to my Buick). Watching it, I noticed they were installing upgraded speakers and that's how I came upon the Soumatrix/Sound Matrix speakers. I got them for a very reasonable price on Amazon and installed them myself. Now, if I can do that, nearly anyone can. The speakers literally come in a bracket and look exactly like the factory speakers. The hardest part for me was removing the door panels and re-installing them. Once you get the door panel off, there's only one screw to remove, pop the factory speaker out, unplug it, plug the Sound Matrix speaker in and replace into the same factory spot. Then put the screw back in and you are done. I won't go on about it, but I'm impressed enough that every time I trade in my car I remove them and put them in my new car (providing it's a GM).
You are welcome. I'd love to see a review from you with those to see what you think. I'm not silly enough to say that I feel my system sounds as good as some of your A or B tier systems, but I do think it's better than the Bolt's Bose for sure. Last month my car was in for service and they gave me a brand new 2LT with the leather and Bose. Drove it just for that day and connected my phone and listened to some of my favorite songs. To be honest, when I got back in my 1LT with my cloth and Sound Matrix speakers, I liked it more. Also, not sure where you are located, but I'm in the South Bay (near Los Angeles) area. You would always be welcome to test mine.
@@RVCraig99 If I recall, I ended up getting them off of Amazon. It's kind of a strange thing and it was difficult to find. The company is called Sound Matrix and the speakers are referred to as Soumatrix Inspirit made for specifically some Chevy and Buick models. What I found was that all GM (or most) use the exact same 6.5" speaker with the same mounting and plug. So far, I've put these in my 2018 Encore, then into a 2020 Chevy Spark, then into a 2021 Malibu and now into the 2023 Bolt. So they work and sound great. Good luck and I'll check back soom to see if you have more questions or if you found them.
@@Orangematzwas it worse in that one? He said that this wasn't even turned up all the way. The Q3's was bad for sure, and that's coming from someone who owns a 2022 A4 with the 19 speaker Bang & Olufsen system.
What about the new 2024 Toyota Prius with upgrade stereo? Can you add the Highland Tesla Model 3 I think these teslas are shipping starting next month.
Comfortable and sunny weather nearly all year, immense variety in natural beauty, vibrant food scene, and, for this line of work, closest access to the automotive and motorcycle scenes.
The Bose wasn't worth the money? Respectfully disagree. The Bose package on these makes a huge difference over the stock system. Worth every penny if you care at all about audio. The sunroof, though, not worth it. Sucks that they bundle them together. The same Bose package upgrade is offered on the Trailblazer and Encore GX and it's great. On the Trailblazer, you can actually get it without the sunroof.
Right, what I should have said is the package together wasn't worth both paying $2200 extra plus having to find a dealer with that exact build in stock. I'd have happily paid an extra $1000 max for the Bose. But I bet I can get better sound quality than the Bose system through an aftermarket shop for much less than the package would cost from Chevy.
@@DailyMotorSound Yeah that makes sense, don't blame you there. I got it on my GX, only because I wanted the better sound system and cooler wheels. I don't care about a sunroof (although that panoramic is pretty cool, but I have a convertible already for summer). Which is why the Trailblazer packaging is interesting, since it's essentially the same vehicle as the EUV and GX but you can get the Bose separately, not tied to any package.
It seems like it is tuned properly, just almost no bass and very low power.

I appreciate you mentioning this! I will look into swapping them out, as I was already considering it. Maybe I'll do a video on it as well. Thank you!

I can't seem to find these anywhere on google. Can you say where you got them?

Basically if you listen to anything with bass then you will be disappointed but this would probably work great for classical or audio books
11:30 That may have been some of the worst bass distortion I've ever heard. Yikes.
I think it was worse in the Sonos system in the Audi Q3.

Please review the Meridian in the EV9 when you can!
Trying! They're hard to come by right now.

2023 Prius JBL is going live tomorrow. Tesla doesn't have press vehicles, but maybe I'll get one from a Tesla store.
Just curious. Why did got choose to move to a place like California?

This Chevy bolt six speaker needs a subwoofer
