A Visit to Goldeneye and the James Bond Locations of Jamaica

- This vlog features footage inside the Ian Fleming Villa. I walk you around the Goldeneye Resort and you get a real feel for the place. Plus some tips on how to get to some private beaches where they filmed some of the James Bond films. Laughing Waters, Dr No for example.
I have put together a comprehensive Blog on how to get in touch with tour guides. Save money with airport trips to the resort from Kingston and also the James Bond locations that I've not included in this Vlog.
Also some exclusive content on No Time to Die, the Blue Angel ship that was sailed down from Port Antonio for the movie.
All the information on Goldeneye and the James Bond locations of Jamaica can be found on the blog

I'll do a full James Bond Jamaica Wardrobe soon.
You can also hear about the resort more on the special podcast episode I had with Matt Spaiser.

Wow, fantastic! You got to go in the villa. I'm so happy you were able to that. We were very lucky, when we were there in 2020, the manager was able to take us on a tour with 2 other couples and we got roam around for almost an hour. I sat at the desk, went down to the Fleming beach and just soaked all the history. It's such a magical place and the people of GoldenEye were spectacular! Nice video! Cheers!
Whoa...nothing like seeing a wonderful new destination to toss on the Bond Bucket List.
`thanks MArtin, will post one from Dubai soon. Although Bond hasn't been there it screams luxury and would be ideal for Bond.
Pete, thanks for sharing....this video moves quickly and is very entertaining! Thanks for spending time on your vacation to stop and film because I know that can be a labor, even if it's with love....
HA! Thanks David. With the travelogues I'm always weary as to what's of interest to others. I try and keep them as short and as quick as I can but there was so much to cram in with this one!
Man Island 🇯🇲 so beautiful one upppp tapp chapp chapp
Amazing video! Watched Dr. No anew a few days ago. Was pining to see the real locations. Thanks for being my "goldeneyes"! Loved it. Thx.
John Wiedman no worries I enjoyed putting it together. The Dr No locations were scantily done, but I’m glad I got to see Laughing Waters. Gutted to have missed out on the croc farm but Jamaica is quite sprawn out. It’s not like London where locations are in a restive proximity and easily accessible.
THIS was great. Natural and genuine. Really enjoyed it. Inspired me to save for my pilgrimage there.
Must of felt so surreal to you to be there.
Thank you.
Thanks pal, it was like an outer body experience. There are some people looking to pool in and do a share of the Villa to keep costs down. Let me know if interested.
Worth it for the Halle Berry impression alone!! :)
Amazing!! Color me jealous!
Haha thanks dude. I now wish I got a photo in the garden like the one from the press launch.
We stayed in the Spanish Elm bungalow in October. I highly recommend swimming out of the lagoon and snorkeling the reef in front of the Fleming villa, if you want to swim and free dive right where Fleming himself did every morning. The reef there is in decent shape and the views of the Fleming villa from the water are very nice.
Hey Jason, The Spanish Elm Bungalow is that in Goldeneye? I bet the snorkelling in front of the Villa was amazing. We saw a lot from the Glass Bottom Boat.
@@There_Will_Be_Bond Yes, Spanish Elm is one of the old bungalows and is to the left of the Fleming Room (reception area), on the lagoon. What a memorable trip.
Great video 👍.My wife like the bag - what Mulberry is it and surely you keep the bug spray in it?
Jon Nicholls hey Jon, the missus is unsure, what bag is she referring to. The small pink one? If so that’s no brand. I’m being told this over breakfast. 😃
From Tailors With Love the pink one on the bridge. Wife thought it was a Mulberry!
10/10 for the Halle Berry. Lol
Still not jealous... ; )
I'm not convinced Marty. :-) I'll send you all the photos of the mosquito bites on the back of my ... well you can imagine I'm sure.
Great vid! What were the books at 1:56?
Sorry mate, I didn't clock them. It was a brief tour. You know, shoot in and out. Thanks for watching tho.
She trashes the hotel room, amazing 😹, wouldn't have thought that possible.
Hey LEO!!! She's a different beast when off the leash. :-) When will be seeing Vlogs of the adventures of Leo?
@@There_Will_Be_Bond My media manager🤷♀️ is hopeless😹, can't get things off the ground!
She is pretty
Golden Eye was built in 1946, not 1947 . 1930's aviatrix Jean Batten (Solitaire) who was active in British relations with Hitler before WW2 lived in a vila at Golden Eye in 1946 where she partied with Fleming & Noel Coward
Goldeneye is one word.
@@There_Will_Be_Bond Grammar Police is two words you make the interesting seem so boring
sand to take back?!?!?
I have five bottles from different Bond beaches now. Need to put them into something more presentable,. Its unusal I admit, but I like doing it. Plus I'm cheap, and it's free
@@There_Will_Be_Bond I hoped viking socks and sandal tourism was something from the past. Do you also drive a vw golf mk2 since it’s free and cheap? That’s so uninspiring and 80ish to say the least. So thankful there are no italian beaches in those movies since stealing sand would be cheap, free and illegal.
