if you go to the combat settings menu of 'logs and messages' window you can check 'weapon type', so your incoming damage messages display their weapons. It's still nice to know what they're packing before the fight even starts, but this helps a little if that's not possible. Also howdy from belfast :D
I have one question: wouldn't be better to fit a small calefaction catalyst instead? Better Alpa and better heat management? The dps difference is only 1 point between the 2 rigs, but i think it would be better to improve damage over rate of fire. Awesome video, congrats!!
Awsome video i would like to say. Another question emerges: How do you manage not to empty you cap? That is a big challenge for me as I tend to drain my capacitor all the time.
There are support skills to help with cap. Capacitor Management, Capacitor Systems Operation from memory but also I think some modules have skills you can train to lower their cap (eg Afterburner, Fuel Conservation). Also, rockets/missiles don't use any cap.
There is a vast area in lowsec which are the Faction War Zones. Within the systems of the warzone are Combat Complexes (commonly known as "Plexes"). These are the PvP sites you want to look for. More info on Faction Warfare here: wiki.braveineve.com/public/dojo/wiki/faction_warfare
This is true. Although this scenario you speak of is likely to be a MWD fit ship doing 2000+ km/s. If so, then the scram on this Kestrel will easily shut off his MWD
I was getting discouraged when trying to implement this as an alpha caldari player. Then I realized you have 3km more range on your rockets than i do XD.
Thanks Mike! It's mostly muscle memory. Getting better at PvP is about repetition. Live. Die. Repeat. Also, welcome to EVE. If you're interested in PvP just get out there and blow up some (your) ships. This video a saw yesterday called the "Noob PVP Challenge" had the right idea: ua-cam.com/video/OSi3YmyA9fU/v-deo.html

Im probably an extremely bad pvp pilot, but in this fit I havent killed anyone. Not one single kill my friend. I have no idea how you do it, but most pilots are gunning me down in three blinks with the eye. So a little more tank maybe?
Kristian Westgård I was and still am crap at pvp after really long time playing. So I gone back to frigates, set up my resupply stations close to FW hotshots with dozens of frigs armed & ready to hop into every time I loose one. Now with the sheer amount of fights I get in to some turn out pretty awesome and I find that even though I still suck, overall I'm getting better, sharper and quicker to respond to changing battlefield situations, most importantly I don't tunnel vision so much making less mistakes. Just keep watching guides like these and throw hundreds of frigates at it till you get it. Than rinse and repeat with bigger ships till you're owning fools left right and centre in shiniest of ships.... well that's my plan anyhow. Good luck out there o7

Hey fellow NI player! You are quite correct. I talk about this @10.22
ah excuse me, not paying enough attention!
Not a problem. These things can be easily missed. Your opening comment is valid and a good one!

Sane and humbe.
Where do you find those PVP sites?

what if you can't buy t2 rocket launchers?
Use meta versions? o.O
Use the Meta 4 Arbalest Launchers.. they are the best T1 variant.
Rockets do can miss when there is some superfast ship orbit at 500m (which in reality is 3km) and moving almost as fast as your rockets themselvs...
This is true. Although this scenario you speak of is likely to be a MWD fit ship doing 2000+ km/s. If so, then the scram on this Kestrel will easily shut off his MWD
I have a supertanki kitting kestrel that goues 1.3 with ab...
at 5km orbit it would also burn rocketsm i think.
The dual webs on this Kestrel will cut that speed greatly.

😉
This is prob the best video I have seen really show cases some skill in the game ( im new.. Brand new) gives me hope! Subscribe! ¡

Link your character name for me? I'd like to look at your kill board. Perhaps you're tackling the wrong target, perhaps it's skills. Hard to say

routine use of shortcuts (activation/overhating) can make a big difference
thanks from Ukraine!
you're welcome.
