    I made a comment on their official UA-cam channel asking them about some of this and they basically called me an idiot for asking i couldn't believe how they spoke and the nerve of them. I knew these two models would have a bunch of problems look at arrma v1 and v2 had probs they had to work out these guys should have been smart enough to see that. I would never get a new to the us market brand v1 there's always going to be bugs and kinks to work out and there's also the prob of parts. Cool idea but I've seen 5 of these new trucks fail first time out and the diffs basically have no grease. The wheelie bar mount breaks first wheelie ectect . Sorry your having probs too man. I love your videos. I built a be6s from scratch man from the chassis up one piece at a time and it's my favorite truck super tough!

      What really? To me they just copied arrma 1/8 scale and made their own without making a differant looking truck. They look to be decent trucks i give you that but copying the success of a company and trying to make the same car almost and changing 2 letter of the name of the original car is discusting. Maybe their diffs ae CNC. But so far their shocks are hard to adjust their dofbones bend like a stick. The car just came out there might be other issues that will cost you money. Only time will tell if once modified they can stand next to arrma in terms of bunkers bashability

      If i ever buy a 1/8 truck for bashing im going to support the company who came out with the idea of the "car and design" than the one who almost copied it and sticked their name on.

      @@EXTREMERC416 absolutely agree man . They deleted my comment but there is a website that you can view past webpages before they changed you can see how rude they are. I asked them without being rude if they were like team magic is to redcat , and they responded that anyone with eyes can see the only similarities between the kronos and arrma was 4 wheels and that all buggies jave the same layout they were just rude and i should have known that a company that blatantly copies another company doesnt care about customers. Ill never support corally. Everyone on youtube that has gotten one has had the drive shafts fold in half. I like my 2019 outcast and v4 kraton they actually put in the work over the years to better every aspect amd listened to people.

    Thanks for making this video. I still see some light at the end of the tunnel for this company. I won't be purchasing the Dementor until a V2 or other upgrades make it feasible. I do think I'll fence sit a little while longer on the Kronos till I see more running footage. I do think (box stock) that a V1 Outcast would outbash a V1 Dementor with less breakages, but that's my opinion. Keep up the good work on the video's, it's enlightening.

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  4 роки тому

      I can agree with that as far as the chassis and dogbone mainly because of the Wheelie bar differences. The outcast wing support goes through the tower where as the Kronos is mounted to the back of the tower. Big difference for hard landings. All the outcast wing breaks or hard hits will not effect the chassis the same. The stiffness of the enforced wheelie bar is also a bashing downfall. I will be focusing on the Kronos though, to answer yours and many others question with long term use and bashing ability! Time will tell!

    As far as the alloy wheelie bar, I had the Hot Racing on my original V2 Kraton along with GPM TOWERS, and many many other alloy upgrades, and I can tell you I slammed that wing mount/wheelie bar in the ground every way imaginable, and it never bent, and I was still learning how to drive then along with I loved to full throttle all the time, just didn't think then, but I can tell you an alloy wheelie bar/wing mount, a good one either from Hot Racing or GPM, I'm sure the Integy one is great, are all better than plastic. The only things I hadn't replaced with alloy before I lost it to an electrical short causing a fire, were the front and rear diff housings to alloy, once I had gotten to it I was installing the GPM A-ARMS, like I had on my 6S Nero Big Rock which were the best upgrade I did to it

      I have never put the Arrma one on MY Kraton or Talion but I see people posting about them in RC groups on Facebook and multiple people that have posted issues, led me to never try one myself. I feel the Talion would have been a perfect one to do since i don't bash it like the Kraton, but that is also the reason I didn't replace the stock one... because it was not broke! Glad to hear.. Gives me some hope for this one lasting on my Kronos! Fingers Crossed!

      @@NPCRC I guarantee you won't have any issues out of alloy wing mounts and wheelie bar, guarantee it!!!! I built mine to only break the mounting bolts, because they are cheap and anyone that bashes without spare nuts and bolts, well you can finish that up I'm sure... And on these as long as you install complete alloy diff housings, you can install the GPM or Integy alloy A-ARMS, but the center is what solidifies it along with the Hot Racing spindles. No more bent axles, you'll break some mounting bolts on harsh landings but who cares, I keep a stock pile of them. I drill a lot if stuff out to 4mm too which just makes it more of a tank. I had the GPM A-ARMS on my Nero Big Rock, Hot Racing spindles, would not break after that, that's one of the toughest built R/C's ever, and a blast to drive, especially with the remote locking diffs, made it into 3 different trucks for bashing and would get you out of some hairy situations if you took it in the creek and stuff like behind my house

    The extra length of the other chassis makes the extra bracing necessary and it may be just as strong on the shorter chassis without the extra brace.

      I get that concept but there is something on the other side of that wing mount on the Kronos and not the Dementor. That will make a difference in it's self. Will it be enough to withstand some medium bashing? Time will tell. Hoping to have it out tomorrow for some bashing, if the weather is better that is!

      Other people who beat me to it... I have followed a few guys and watched the bash series that bent the driveshaft in the rear, which was my biggest concern. It lacks rear support like the Kronos has. I am sure it will hold for the average RC guy, and I say this in the video as well but basher's are going to expose and bend the rear shaft. I love the truck and was hyped to get it in but saw that happening already and have been down that road with the Landslide and lack of rear bracing. Not excited to possibly go through it again

    I actually have a question on the landslide.. so what could cause slipping and some grinding sounds but no gears are showing signs of ware and no metal shavings anywhere front, middle or real.. I added diff fluid out of the box.. also it’s weird because from a cold start it’s fine it starts it’s issues like mid battery.. I am lost I’ve torn it apart fully 4 times to try to figure the problem out.. maybe shimming something is what I need.. ugh I just wish it was showing where the grinding and slipping was happening.. did you have this problem or hear this as a problem at all with the landslide? Thanks man love your channel I learn a lot from you

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  4 роки тому +1

      based on what you describe it COULD be the ESC. ESC and voltage failures can make a "geary" sound as they power levels jump. Next time it is doing it, pick it up off the ground and throttle it and see if it is making that noise. If not, it is almost definitely and esc... sometimes a lipo and rarely a motor.

    • @testpiloterb1828
      @testpiloterb1828 4 роки тому +1

      No Problems Computer & Hobby that is most def what it is then because I have picked it up to try to locate the issue and nothing it’s completely fine without a load... I had no idea it could be the esc but makes sense also it is practically brand new! So lame that it could be the esc pretty much out of the box..

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  4 роки тому

      @@testpiloterb1828 warranty the ESC.. It is not unheard of for electronics to have issue sporadically, new or not. Sounds like the issue for sure. I put the hex8 on mine as i was moving up in gearing and wanted to be ready for the upcoming motor swap i did, which had 600kv more.

      How have you liked your landslide? Gotta kid trying yo decide between that and a Granite or Outcast.

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  4 роки тому

      @@seanmcpherson7962 4S models? I have a few hands on reasons that I would steer from the Arrma's in this comparison. I have had the big rock and got the 4S outcast but decided not to go through with it, so i put it in inventory.
      After my desire to upgrade my big rock CC to 4S, I held off because I had seen others that did it but had the shafts fail under the added torque. The solution was to pay $100+ for a set of 4 Steel upgrades.
      I was going to get the 4S outcast as an alternative, thinking it was upgraded to handle the shafts. Although it was beefier on the hubs and longer on the shafts, they were still not upgraded, but I was willing to give it a shot because i did like my CC.
      Before I could get to it, I seen about 4 people, 2 in the same week they arrived, post broken shafts, wing mounts and slipper clutch. Don't agree with the slipper over the center diff on a basher.
      The Granite is $300, outcast $400. Both smaller 1/10 and all 5 shafts are plastic. The motor is a 3668.
      Landslide with the M2C top plate is $350, smaller 1/8, 6 steel shafts(4 cva's), center diff, 3674 motor and with that M2C upgrade, it makes it a tank as tested on some of my videos. The Chassis is there to really solidify the truck but was not used for the testing of the top plate and held up against the 2 week abuse of 4 trucks.
      Even if he got the truck without the kit for $285, it is still possibly a better choice, but the need for rear bracing on that truck is it's downfall and owning one without the brace and mount is possibly going to end with a rear drive shaft needing to be straightened out!

    You know rigit metal is bad maybe the kronos wont bend the chassi but it will have 0 flex 7570 can flex quite a lot without getting permanently bent. I there is a missconseption about metal braces your chassi might not bend to the rear but all of that energy will go somewhere else maybe you will bend the front of the chassi or the middle of it. Saving 50$ remplacing the tires is already 70$ there because they balloon way too much. The point of bashing is to jump do backflips all of that stuff and the car to stay in one piece are you really going to bash at 70-80mph truck? We are talking about speed run car speed maybe im not crazy enough and im happy with my 50mph truck who goes the high of trees

    • @NPCRC

      Yeah this one should not be 70mph like the Kronos or Shogun... I think they just wanted to make sure it was faster then the competition... but speed is not all it's about.. At 50+ on 4S though, it is a nice bonus for guys that want better control and may run the 4S lipo's more on the regular. We will find out about the wheelie bar and how it holds up... i feel better with it on there (Kronos) then without as of now. We will see if that changes with some bashing!

NO HOLD BACK BASHING. get on with it lol.
