Chitwan to Khaptad National Park Trek.

Khaptad National Park is a protected area in the Far-western region of Nepal. It stretches over four districts of the region namely Bajhang, Bajura, Achham, and Doti. It covers an area of 225 sq km and ranges in elevation from 1400 m to 3300 m. The park was established in 1984 on the advice of Khaptad Baba, a holy priest of the region. A buffer zone of 216 sq km was declared in 2006. It is said that Khaptad Baba moved to the area in the 1940s to meditate. He spent about 50 years in solitude and later became a renowned saint. The Khaptad Baba Ashram. located near the park’s headquarter is a famous religious site for Hindus.

Itinerary based on my own experience:
Day 1 : Chitwan (Pulchowk) - Kohalpur (by bus)
Day 2 : Kohalpur to Aktriya (by bus) and Aktriya to Doti (by bus)
Day 3 : Doti to Jhingrana 1hr drive and 7 Hrs hike from Jhingrana to Khaptad National Park
Day 4 : Explore Khaptad
Day 5 : Hike back. toJhingrana and drive backt o Doti
Day 6 : Drive from Doti to Chitwan.

How is the road condition from nepalgunj to khapthad national park?Amount of time it takes from chitwan to nepalgunj to khapthad?Hotels ,cost?

Nepaljung to Aktriya approx 4hrs by Microbus ani Aktriya bata Silgadi, Doti chai it takes 8-9hrs by microbus... Npj to Silgadi bato aati dami cha bro....Ani Silgadi to Jhingrana chai 45 minutes by Bolero. From Jhingrana your trek starts.... Jhingrana to Bichpani 4hrs Bichpani to Khaptad another 4hrs approx.... Jhingrana ma hotel cha...But Jhingrana to Bichpani there's no hotel no tea house nothing...Bichpani ma hotel cha...ani Bichpani bata Khaptad samma ne hotel chhaina....ekkai choti Khaptad ma hotel cha. Cost chai approx 1 jana ko 12K jati kharcha huncha including food and lodging.

thank you... our total expenses was like 25K for 2 people for 5 days. You can reduce it by taking public vehicles too.
