So many people (including my mom -_-) think going on outings alone is sad/lonely. They dont know that it's often the most peaceful and pleasant experience! Love the vids, hey from Vancouver!
Ekez Sluap ah yes solo trips can be so nice 😊 I used to do them all the time before I met Harvey. I still enjoy them though of course do them less now! It’s always worth getting out alone rather than not at all.. 😊
Enjoyed this Athena. The Shepherds Hut looked so cosy. We did Aria Force, Gowbarrow and Little Mel Fell in January. Cold and windy, but the views were fantastic. Haglofs gear looks like good quality. 👍
I have followed you for over a year and know that the last year has been tough for you. But just want to say you how brilliant your vids are and your positivity is infectious. Good luck with the book writing.
Having lived in the UK for this particular winter 19/20 your videos make me smile. I am filled with admiration for the tenacity with which you face the weather.
we South Yorkshire types have Eyam DNA which is second to none as we survived the last plague hhhaaha! Athena your videos are really great and high quality. I have van envy as I don't have one. Well done on all these activities and plans - inspirational for us all.
Thank you Athena for another beautiful video of your adventures, accompanied as always, with acoustically pleasing music... time for a brew and adventure planning ✌🏼❤
Loving watching your videos while I recover from a major surgery. I cannot hike right now which hurts my heart but I'm enjoying being on the trail through you.
Beautiful place! Nous avons besoin de vidéos comme ça par les temps qui courent. Esthétiquement très réussies, au rythme tranquille, beaucoup de douceur et de charme s'en dégagent. Le genre de vidéo qui redonne le sourire en ces temps troublés...
Hello Athena. Excellent video again. The videos you put together so well thought out, every shot is perfectly matched to the very calm, gentle music. Thank you as always for providing such enjoyable, informative videos.
Brilliant viewing... I'm just back from four amazing days in the Lakes... My first hillwalk... Wansfell Pike... and Skelghyll woods..I was at Aira Force on Thursday... absolutely stunning...
What a great pub the Pack Horse is, we stayed at little longstone then did the Monsal Trail. nice bimble. That lloked a great little walk yu did with Haglofs, fresh, snowy
Another great one, the way u mix up the home scenes, music and scenery is like a sedative, very relaxing. My only complaint is they arent long enough! Just kidding. God bless ya lady.
Ah bless you mate, another lovely video. Hearing you talking about sunsets reminded me when I spent the night on Helvellyn - just along Ullswater from Aira Force - & as the sun was setting over the Solway Firth it reflected on the water so it looked like there were 2 Suns. It was so beautiful, as was the sunrise the next morning as the first rays turned all the rocks a marshmallow pink colour. Absolutely stunning. Look forward to your next video. Much love xx
Another beautiful video, love Aira Force it's such a beautiful place , an the little cafe there makes a cracking cappuccino, never seen those shepherd's huts before, will have to try one out ! 🤗
Wonderful video Athena! I've just paused it now you're talking about the Shepherds hut to make a cup of tea! And I'll nestle in to finish the video - can't wait. The relaxing vibe of all you vlogs is just wonderful! I think I vlogged Eyam actually but lost all of my footage! :(
Another wonderful video and how cool that you got all this great gear (and in my favorite color LOL). That hut looked so cozy!!! I just hiked the Grand Canyon for IWD but can't wait to be back in the Peak and Lake District later this year with my Englishman. Love Aira Force, we've been there now a couple of times and it's just beautiful. Looking forward to your next video :) Thank you so much!
Please can you do a van tour video, as i am thinking of getting a small van myself to kit out as a weekend camper... anyway thanks and love the videos, keep it up!
I never usually leave comments but just wanted to say I love love love your videos ! I love your cozy house, your whole vibe and the beautiful landscapes you show us! I’m dying to be your friend and go on adventure :D keep going and good luck with your book ❤️❤️
Hello Athena.....there it is 20k of subs, only going one way right now. Like the variation in your content this week. Also the way you are bringing the clips together. Like the multi angle approach to filming. The only way is up 👍🏻🙋🏼♂️😎
Loving the video the views are stunning especially the snow capped mountains makes you feel alive. After watching your video you make me want to go and get my boots on and head out to the great outdoors so much to explore anywhere. Yeh it the wind that makes you cold especially if your standing about too long in one place. Looking forward to your next episode.
Philip Dixon aww I just passed that on and it made him smile 😎 he was away working in Norway for a couple of weeks, but we are in the Cairngorms this weekend making a video together!
Hi Athena. This Fall I’ll be heading to Scotland (from Canada) for a photography adventure. I’ll be staring off in Glencoe area for 4 days. Do you have any recommend ‘hill walks’ and would you have any maps you would recommend? Thanks in advance. Another great video btw. I do love your quaint cottage. 👍
Hi Matthew, that sounds brilliant! Firstly, I'd recommend getting some Ordnance Survey maps for the area. The OS Leisure maps which are orange are my choice and that of most walkers. This is the one for you: www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/shop/explorer-map-glen-coe-glen-etive.html. I haven't unfortunately done a lot of hiking around Glen Coe, though I did walk the West Highland Way which went right through it! This blogpost has some great ideas for hikes though: watchmesee.com/blog/things-to-do-in-glencoe/. I hope I can head soon and make a video about hikes there :) Have a great trip!
Lovely relaxing video in these troubled times. I would love to know specifically what the beautiful music is as the credits only quote Music Bed as a reference. Thanks - Alan
I can’t tell you how much I love your videos! There is something super homely about them and they remind me so much of family holidays growing up and hikes we used to do together. I’m so glad I stumbled across you on here! 💕
Athena, you are a very brave young Lady! I know myself how cold it is in those hills! Do you actually register you’re route with authorities before you set off? I imagine you do because you are very sensible!
Val Goes Outdoors this book is just for the Peak District but I will probably do the Lakes next or the one after 😊 it should come out in June! I hope.. lots to do 🤗
Crumpets with jam, NO, No, no, butter and honey always. I would change my sex for that much Haglofs gear. I have quite a bit already, I really love the footwear, ready for walking out of the box.
How about international man's day? Frankly as a male and a man I would cringe at the very thought! And frankly embarrassed! So you want equality though international woman's day promotes gender sectarianism and supriorority!?
The idea of International Women's Day is to eliminate discrimination against women and celebrate the achievements of women throughout history. It's a chance for us as a gender to support each other, and look towards more ways we can create gender parity in so many aspects of life across the world. The day isn't about gender superiority in the slightest! It is about equal rights... which it would be impossible to say have always existed for men and women throughout history. Unfortunately in many countries they still don't exist, which is why so many women support this day. There is actually an International Men's Day on November 19th.
@@RambleFamilyThe only culture's gender equality does not exist is backward culture such as Islam! Though mentioning this will send the PC brigade into overdrive! And has for the achievements of women throughout history! How about the Achievements of a society of whole! Millions of young men have gave their lives for our future! Not millions of females! Good strong healthy young men died to protect our people! And more importantly to protect famales and children! And ultimately life itself!
jay lee you are missing the point here. It isn’t about disregarding the achievements of men. It’s undeniable that what men have done throughout history is amazing. However as you are a man you cannot understand that equality does not exist for men and women not even in the U.K. Therefore the day is to continue the campaign for that and also look at the achievements of women throughout history, who also made an incredible effort in the war and throughout so many other events. I don’t really understand why you need to be so strongly against this day when it does no harm to you as a person and is about empowering women - I’m not sure what you see to be so wrong with that.
@@RambleFamily Well women have no need to be empowered! any man with a ounce of logic always have and always will put a female first! My argument is there are forces at work within the controlled main stream media who want to destroy the family unit! And the only way they can achieve this is pitting gender against gender!

You can be selfish when alone since you don't have to do things you don't prefer to make company feel included. I'm alone most of the time. Love it.
I have no choice but to do everything alone. I'm now several years into this and I cant describe how much i would love some company...
Doesn't mean I don't enjoy my own company, but a change would be nice.
I wish you could know how inspiring your videos are. Perfect. Already looking forward to the next one, Enjoy your walk tomorrow. 👌
David Sutton thank you so much, David, that really means a lot 🙏🏼
Enjoyed this Athena. The Shepherds Hut looked so cosy. We did Aria Force, Gowbarrow and Little Mel Fell in January. Cold and windy, but the views were fantastic. Haglofs gear looks like good quality. 👍
