BRINGS his bed into the kennel and be firm with him. Its no different than with a child who refuses to sleep. I realize he has been the only child but he has to learn that he has to share. Put i an iron stove , even a little one, it will make it cozier...lol...and you can warm coffee or and stew! / soup! . lol

an easy way to keep the doggos from trying to eat each other is to put a muzzle on BOTH of them and then let them work out their domination issues without the ability to bite. i had a hybrid timberwolf that wouldnt let my other dogs eat or drink... 2 weeks in a muzzle and they could eat and drink from the same bowls at the same time. of course, you give them both time off the muzzle alone for feeding and human affection. ill keep watching to see if you try it. best 20-30$ youlll ever spend

I know you're busy... But seeing the open bags of dirt in the background wall in the dome can you review what your plans to finish those walls.. how you're going to deal with the broken bags and just general mixture of bags on the walls. Love that you're working on the dogs.. I am sure that you will succeed, this is a long term process.

Up in Sunizona it's gotten down into the mid-twenties several times. I moved into the kitchen I built, in anticipation of the cold weather, since so many things are broken in the RV. Kind of crowded, but cozy in the cold weather, and everything works in here! You'll enjoy being in your new place, even if it isn't finished. It's a big step that you were working for, even if it's off schedule.

Use the filter when using the bigger tanks. They have a oil in the propane that plugs up the heater. The hose reacts with the propane and breaks down. I know by experience. With the filter my heater has gave me 3 years with the same filter. But 2 previous heaters without the filter was destroyed.

I'm in rain country and was told by a fence guy. He said that fence posts last longer if you put a couple handfuls of gravel in the bottom of he hole for drainage and no cement . Because cement doesn't seal in fact rain water gets trapped in between the cement and wood it rots out quicker than in dirt and gravel.
And I have seen 100+ year old fences made in old growth cedar in dirt out here .

I use a Big Buddy Heater in my cabin which you might have noticed during your visit but of course you folks came over a bit ago now. Ace Hardware brought in an adapter for me (thanks Ace Sierra Vista!) to make it possible for me to be able to connect my BBQ size tanks with an accessory hose I purchased as well. The Big Buddy is such a game changer and I am super snug and warm in no time even with the coldest of days.

Everyone is blaming Crew. He’s an old man and was the only dog for the longest time. When I look at his behavior around her, he is just curious. Every time they show a fight, it is Lluvia who starts it. She really went after Crew in this video. I agree with muzzles but she also needs to learn boundaries. Both breeds are dominant working dogs and it may never work out between them. Lluvia needs training!

    • @jeangurnee
      @jeangurnee Рік тому +25

When we brought home our puppy 8 years ago, the older dog was not having it. I had our son keep the dogs apart during the next day and called around to get a consult with a trainer when I got home from work. He had them sitting next to each other in 15 minutes from an all out dog fight at the beginning. Tension on our part, not being in charge of the situation on our part were the culprits. He had them sit next to each other with the focus on him only, not each other using first a firm "hey" to get attention then nice talking and treats. Within a week we had them sleeping together. Added a third dog three years later and I did the slow intro, managed the energy in the space and while there may be a spat from time to time related mostly to food, they are all buddies. It is do-able. You cannot just sit and watch. At least one adult has to be in charge. The training has to be incorporating both dogs.

We never tried the buddy heater but what we do use and maybe you can check it out is a Vent Free propane heater which can be ran by a larger propane tank... we've plumbed our cabin with black pipe to several places where can hook up several heaters.... if you do check it out and choose one, a suggestion for sure is to get one with a thermostat and with ceramic tiles.... one, with a high enough btu for your space should warm your place nicely.... ours is not one of the most expensive brands... and we are off grid as well

I’ve never been fond of choker collars or anything like that for dogs. The alternative is what is called a gentle lead. It goes around the snout similar to a collar. The “correction” if you will when you pull on the leash the dogs face will be turned another direction. My dog is very aggressive towards other dogs but in almost one visit we went from having to be 20ft from another dog to within 5 ft just making corrections when he growled or snarled. It’s a very gentle way to work on that but you will need to start socializing them and correcting the behavior or it will never change

I would definitely seal the outside of the walls because you don't want them crumbling too.

I have raised dogs since I was a child.
First you should have kept them together for the night anyways and put up with a few problems so it gets resolved.
They will never get along if not together.
Most importantly put them both on a big long leash with knots in it to inconvenience their walking around and make it easy to catch them
Next you really must get severe with them, do NOt beat the dogs but yank at their leash while yelling at them and put them back on their own bed. And tell them to stay.
That is discipline they need to learn and need to learn to obey you and most importantly need to respect you and what you expect of them.
Easier way to teach them boundaries from each other's is outside in wide open. You keep one dog close to you (not tied to anything except loose leashes with knots) and interfere every time they get into a fight.
    Eventually they will stop.
Crew is a good respectful male to UV, he wasn't aggressive to UV, just curious.
UV jumped him as most female would do, especially to a respectful male.
Both could use some training. Whenever you walk them take the time to teach them (at first on a leash) to walk by you, stop, stay, come then let the dog go free to run around after a good session and praise the dog.
Keep session very short and easy at first, you don't want the dog to fail training every time. You want the dog to love training and be proud and happy when done.

maybe focus on getting those panels up and connected efficiently to the 60/150 MPPT. 150 VOC volts serial connect. if your panels are 365 watts that is 3 panels in series grouped by 5 in parallel or similar.

You might feel sick while working with concrete due to the activated, corrosive, water reactive nature of the cement dust. Don't get too close to the concrete when mixing it, use waterproof gloves, and a good air filter mask might help, but often the particles are so fine they go right through a mask. Otherwise, it might take a few days to recover your respiratory health.

harbor freight has an adapter to refill the smaller tanks from the larger ones - i would think the big box stores should also have it.
