Assyrian here! Thank you for the recipe. You make it look easy.. we usually don’t put rice in the filling. At the end we fry it a bit in a bit of oil to crisp it. 😀

Thank you. I agree, frying it with a bit of spicy oil makes it even better.👍

So happy to find your channel. I am not Assiryan, but Im from Mosul, love the way you made it, I will try it as it is easier than the way we make it, we put meat in the shell, we don't add rice to the filling, we boil it, and sometimes we fry it after it is boiled, I like it boiled only. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us.

Not according to John 17:3 in the bible :
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent
And according to Mark 10:18 :
“Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone
So it clearly cannot be the same being.
      To set the record straight:
See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.” Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops.
Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim his praise in the islands. Isaiah 42: 9-12 NIV
Sela is a mountain in Medina it is well known and easily verified. As for Kedar the answer lies in Genesis 25:13 .......
These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, listed in the order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, KEDAR , Adbeel, Mibsam.
Isaiah 42 clearly speaks of the prophet Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa salam. And what is presented in the first verses about his character is in accordance with much of what is conveyed about his lifetime and character but I wanted to keep it brief. Jesus didn't go to Sela nor to the people of Kedar. NOR did they accept his message en masse and break the Idols and give praise to The Lord. Which clealy happened in the time of Muhammad. It is clear as day

Hi! Great recipe! But I can’t seem to get the dough right despite having the exact measurements and following the instructions. It just gets too crumbly. I can’t get it to stay together like your does after I’ve let it rest for 30 min. What am I doing wrong? 2:41

Hi, thank you! Make sure to use extra fine bulgur (usually sold as "kitel") and is well mixed. Once it's rested and all liquid is absorbed, knead until it holds together.

    • @robinakkus8212
      @robinakkus8212 2 місяці тому

@ ah, of course! I’ll try it next time. Since I already cooked the meat and made the dough I decided to cheat and added an egg and some flour to the bulgur which made the dough easier to work with. It worked great! 👍

Almost the exact same recipe we follow here in Mosul/Iraq
The traditional way is to use raw meat for filling, while the modern way is to use precooked , without the Rice and eat it with soup 🌹
