By 1982, when a grown Kirby shows up in Denver, Alexis is at first unsure who the girl is, but then schemes to send Kirby back to Paris to break up her incestuous romance with half-brother Adam... And this is the horrid secret that Joseph was willing to kill Alexis for by setting fire to the cabin -- not because Kriby's mom is still alive and under lock-and-key as a murderess, but because her mother is Alexis!! Kirby was always spooky to me . I always pictured Joseph with a big girl type at home in bed eating potato chips and watching the brady bunch not some thin schoolmarm of a woman talking about anything w/ Alexis . She was just strange .
