I had an interesting talk with a long-time gardener that argued that organics were just chemicals and break down into chemicals that can be used by plants. His hypothesis was that they all are the same. in the end. I didn't have a comment to that so I just nodded my head lol. Thanks for the guest that provides more expert insight to the many facets of gardening. Havagudun, Ya hear.
I like your show, like your sons new show and learn allot from the both. I tried potatoes this year after watching your videos. Just getting flowers on some here in Va. I have no idea what I will get out of em, but they are thigh high. Trying corn this year. Once again cause of ya'll. Grew up in Macon Ga, Mom was on a farm when young, so I guess I do it after listening to her talk about what it was like. Gardner not a farmer by the way. just a gardener. You two are my go to for information now days. You both do a real nice job with explaining it for people like me. I want to get me a wheel hoe a bit later. Maybe try the drip tape some day. Have a nice evening.
Another great show with a very interesting and informative guest! Thank you Andrew. I'm really liking the looks and promise of that 7 7 7 corn based, water soluble, fert!! Thanks for all y'all do for us!
I'm not finding any retail outlets for home garden quantities of Nature Safe 7-7-7 corn steep liquor. Greg, it sounds like you're in the trial stage but I believe Andrew has enough credibility that I'm wanting to lay my hands on some of it pretty quick. Jimmy Red has a hearty appetite.
I have been following your guest on Facebook. I have a no till garden so I'm trying to find ways to put slow release fertilizer to it in the Fall. This is very interesting and informative. Thank you!!!
@@SaltydogNC Country Farm and home in Chatham County, Pittsboro NC. It was about an hour and a half for me. Store is awesome worth the trip. They have alot of organic products there as well as conventional stuff too.
I find with green sand it takes atleast 1.5 yrs to be really evident in my plants' growth. I am checking on the use of microrobial in conjunction to speed up the process.
There is Organic sulphate of potash if you need quicker. Protassium + is a west coast brand. Compass Minerals is the source company, it is mined up here in Canada.
I enjoy your shows and all of the information you share to the public! I’ve ordered a heap of seeds from your company, y’all make me excited to garden, and I appreciate all that you share with the world! May I politely ask why some of your lettuce seeds I’ve ordered are treated and why some are not? Can you explain a little bit about the thiamine treatment on one variety of lettuce I’ve ordered from Hoss? I’ve read the EPA explanation of thiamine but I’d rather hear y’all’s opinion on it. Thank you in advance!
Hey Craig quick question for you. I noticed in a video you did last year May 9th 2020. It was a video on the mystery fruit revealed. You were talking about an empty plot you planned on putting Pro Cut sunflowers in. I noticed something black looking like a cat or dog running behind you in the video. But whatever it was was very creepy looking you could see through it as if it was a ghost I was just wondering if anybody else had noticed this. Thank you for all the gardening information tips you guys provide. I have learned so much and been able to improve my gardening vastly. My name is Shawn Howell I live in New Mexico and we have just about the same weather minus the humidity and a little snow in the winter. Thank you too you and your boy for all the great information you guys give out.
What kind of advice would you give on growing honey dew melons? I'm attempting to grow them this year for the first time here in Virginia so I will be growing them in red clay soil.
Great show! I havent used fish fertilizer because Im afraid of getting raccoons digging into my beds from the fish smell. Is that something I need to worry about?
@@gardeningwithhoss I will be using some kind of soluble organic fertilizer under my 6 rows of Serendipity I got from you, would you like me to run a parallel trial? Hoss tools going green now?? Travis with the no dig plot and now the row by row show is marketing for organic?? Did somebody pay you guys to stop promoting chemicals or are you still using and making videos using chemicals? Organics just don't get the job done like some 20-20-20. I started off gardening using expensive organic fertilizers and I still do, by when I want to produce a lot of food in large size and quantity then I use the 20-20-20, it never fails and always outperforms the expensive and weak and organic stuff.

The fish and Guano does contain added synthetics to keep the NPK balanced.

So much to do now. Only 4 weeks from summer solstice in UK
Good info guys.I've been organic for years.
Good show, may give some organic fertilizers a try next year. The 20-20-20 you carry really does the trick though.
Thanks, David!
Much appreciated! Thx

Wow I just talked to Andrew on the phone Monday. He hooked me up with a place up here in North Carolina.to buy Nature safe.
Would you be willing to share the location?

It is a fungicide to help with damping off.
Our corn is tasseling. No insect pressure yet. I have been dusting at least once a week.
What do you dust with?
I’d like to know as well
The fish and stinky liquids help keep deer and rabbits from stalking every plant

We will have to go back and look.
I saw that too. Looked to me like a small shadow from the sky. But yeah, kinda creepy.
It is a bird flying overhead. 🤣
I went out to spray my silver queen corn today it’s 7 foot and 3 to 4 corn now per plant on the majority I have 6 40 foot rows
👏🏼👏🏼
I planted yellow stone corn April 16th it’s already titty high with tassels and side ears
I like black cherry

We have never grown any of these, so I'm not sure I can give advice. I would follow the same basic recommendations for other melons.
Seriously love the jokes... :D
🤣👏🏼

We have not had that problems here.
Katir M my retrevier loves the smell of fish...I have eletric fencing around my garden to keep him and the deer out..lol. so I can grow veggies. 😂
The triple 7 is very interesting if it is truly soluble and won't clog drip emitters. Do you plan to start selling this line?
We are trialing it right now.
