    We respect Backblaze for letting him do a robot voice. Definitely makes me more inclined to try it out. I remember that he did an ad read himself a good while back. Felt like the sponsor didn't understand the channel.

      @@Renville80 He doesn't talk during his videos. It was an ad read where they let him use an AI voice instead of his own. You didn't miss anything aside from a nice sponsor that understood the channel better than the last one from like 2020 or so.

    Seriously, this is so cool. I can't even imagine how much behind-the scenes planning/designing/prototyping must have gone into a project like this. Would definitely love to see more modding content in the future!

    Very cool! I love the design and the custom 3D printed parts! That’s a huge soldering iron for that size work. Might want to consider getting a T115 or one of the little USB powered soldering pen that uses the T115 tips for this kind of work. And maybe some 24awg wire for those USB2 ports, unless you plan to have a USB vacuum cleaner. 😉

    This is an S+ job, everything looks professionally made and nothing really sticks out of place. I admire the plenty DiY projects out there but they usually look poorly put together despite the incredible work on the project, so it's great to see everything nicely packed up.
    Would love to see more of these Sleeper PC projects, the quality of the build is astounding.

    I'd like to do this to my own mini-PC. So many things I could do with it, thanks to you. You're my inspiration in turning trash into treasure. What I have noticed is that the way you get amazing results is being "Detail Geek" clean.

Probably best sleeper build I’ve seen. “your gaming pc” and “somebody else’s gaming pc” could mean two very very different things. 🤔
      Orange GameCube PC with working power button and ports? Killin it.

      Kind of like how company logos have turned more plain and boring. Or how McDonald's have turned from bright colors to dull and darker colors.

      @@RaeDawna minimalism has taken over logos, look at old pringles, firefox, instagram, warner bros etc... all of them used to be way more detailed, but the color and form association makes them still recognizable a mile away, even though they don't have much detail. big companies understood it and said "fuck it". (which is sad)

      @@RaeDawnathere is a recent video on it. Can’t remember whose channel. But yes, it is everything. Company logos, fast food places, drinks, color. They’re all becoming minimalistic. Was an interesting vid to see just how much. You’d have to search minimalistic theory or something along those lines.

    i loved how you did not have to destroy the shell from the inside to make that project. in the upper lid you can add a 90mm fan or something to help it with cooling but I don't think it will heat up that much anyway. keep it up ❤

    Reminds me of the days of people stuffing Mini-ITX boards into just about anything they could lay their hands on about 20-odd years ago, converting many things into PCs that could run emulators and such inside of shells of all kinds of things like retro computers, ammo tins, old tube radios and even one was a model of Leela from Futurama (goodness knows why!)... :P

    Building a small PC that fits into a Gamecube shell and then running Dolphin on it has to be the most round about way to play Gamecube games ever devised lol.

    I'd love to see you build a GameCube Nano! Trim down a Wii motherboard to the smallest functional size and make it work. Would also be very helpful to have a detailed video of it being built, rewiring the power needed and stuff. Build it into a GBA shell or something if you want to make it portable!

    It turned out so clean! I've thought about doing this a few times before but could never think of a way to preserve the memory card doors and power button. You did both masterfully, and more than that, actually did it instead of just thinking about it ;p bravo!

    @oddtinkering. I recently starrted using a card scraper (for woodworking) instead of sanding on 3d prints. it`s SOOOOO much faster. and then you can use a little sanding at the end. it`s life changing. and makes less of a mess. worth looking into...
