  • On May 11, 2022 I was on Honor Flight Chicago. I shot video of much my day. My video starts at Midway Airport. We land at Dulles Airport and by bus drive past the Pentagon, Arlington Cemetery, and the Iwo Jima statue. Our stop at the WWII Memorial is where our group picture was taken. While the National Anthem is being sung I inserted video of the Lincoln Memorial, Air Force Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. I do say a few words at the Vietnam War Memorial. Our last stop before heading back to Chicago was the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center. I could have spent a week there. As we left Midway Airport we were greeted by many.
    Our Mission
    HONOR FLIGHT CHICAGO’S MISSION
    OUR MISSION
Honor Flight Chicago’s mission is to Honor, Thank, and Inspire by building awareness and appreciation of the debt of gratitude America owes its veterans for their service and sacrifice for our nation.
    OUR VISION
The centerpiece of our programming is the Day of Honor in Washington, D.C., visiting the memorials built in tribute to the service of our veterans from WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. This trip is provided at no cost to the veteran and is intended as a heartfelt thank you for their service and sacrifice from a grateful nation. Honor Flight Chicago encourages community and student participation in all of our programs, and uses lessons derived from the Day of Honor trip in its Operation Education program, inspiring students to learn about the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
With the welcomed support of generous donors and a caring public, Honor Flight Chicago intends to continue its mission to include veterans of wars - past, present, and future - as we recognize the bravery, determination, and patriotism of our veterans.

I'm not sure if my Flight was typical but I did want to shoot video from my perspective.

I had many close calls myself, shot, stabbed, poisoned, hanged and even put in a 55 gallon barrel to be dumped in the ocean near Oceanside, Ca. Never got a scratch in combat other than the mental part of killing. Thank you Chuck and welcome home brother. 👍👍👍👍👍♥️🇺🇸

@@RideswithChuck Yes I am, I would never lie about that but here is the short story. I married a whore while in the Philippines, she later tried to have me killed many times, I would be drugged and men she hired would take me somewhere to kill me. Well they drove me or weighted so long the drug wore off enough I was able to extract myself from the situation with great prejudice. Many times I was able to return home by driving, three times I was able to walk home. When the drug completely wore off I was unable to remember much, I found out later she was using the date rape drug known as Ruffies. She's dead now, I testified against her and she had a stroke that lead to her death. It's a very long an ugly story Chuck, most of the black Marines that went missing in 1985 from Camp Pendleton, well I can tell the authorities what happened to them but they have never showed any interest. Love your channel Chuck, if you ever get a chance to come to Minter Air Museum come and take a look, we have a nice one there.👍👍👍👍👍♥️🇺🇸

Every time I take off in a passenger plane, I'm amazed (and a little proud) by how far modern engineering has taken us. Those jetliners are pounded day-in and day-out as if they were trolley cars yet they come back asking for more.

I was amazed at how high in the sky they were before even leaving the airport proper.

Nice seeing you yesterday. Called Burr Ridge, there will be NO car show at Harvester Park this year.

I'm sorry to hear that. I grew up in Burr Ridge. International Harvester tested their tractors on the property next to where we lived.
