thanks. I love yur hot wire idea. I saw it way back in grade school when the science teacher taught us how to cut a coke bottle. I wanna recreate this as all the other methods resulted in odd ends! I will also try the string!
the video was too fast. I saw you had 3 coils of wire. One end goes to the plug and the other goes to the 2 terminal points. The red/brown live one goes to one terminal and the blue goes to the other terminal. Is this correct?

5 methods over 8 minutes averages out at 1.36 per method. Brilliant. Whilst there are some other good non-verbal glass cutting demos on this site, none come close to this one. Sadly as is often the case on UA-cam, other videos have 10 minutes of introduction for 10 seconds of demo. Great work. I'm definilty going to try some of these methods.
