- I begin to move into explaining how Yeshua is the Son of Elohim by looking at the famous John 3:16 passage. It’s one that if not careful can become common to the ear in a way that makes us feel we need to “move on” from it. Towards the end of the sermon I deal with some technicalities on the Greek word monogenes.

Beloved brother matthew, I agree, I don't despise my christian congregational upbringing from birth either. My momma & daddy did their best, and they are still married these 54 years, halaluYaH! Being a parent these 20 years has definitely helped my perspective more than anything else could have. Though I don't agree with some big things that they have done directly to me, I still do my best to honor & love them to the best that I can within HaTorah of life. Thanks for clarifying there was no human sacrifice law in Tera’s day. I see that as key conversation when speaking to trinitarian and the likes,that Yahweh does not accept human blood on an alter/cross etc. can you give reference to the verses or context saying in Tera’s time there’s no law and where’s the commands saying there is law against humans sacrifices. Does that question and statement make sense? 🙏
How do you memorize scripture? What is your process?
Pick out a chapter you enjoy. Read it out loud (at least) twice in the morning and again twice in the evening. In about 8 weeks you’ll have it mostly if not all memorized.
Brother Matthew just a question. Do you believe that protestant evangelical Christianity is in fact, teaching about the same Messiah? Even though I appreciate very much what I have learned in Protestantism, I have come to believe that their Messiah, and mine are not the same Messiah. Although they teach some true doctrines about the Messiah, when you come to really realize that their messiah is more like what is spoken about in Deuteronomy 13 of a prophet that comes and tells you that the law of Moses has been obfuscated. What are your thoughts about that?
I think some of them believe in him and love him to the extent they know how; I know I did. I think the “line-in-the-sand” happens when they are presented with the truths about the Messiah that they don’t yet see, and end up fighting said truths. We shouldn’t broad brush all professing Christians.

Isaac was in fact an only begotten of the promise. Christ is as well the only begotten of the father. Every instance in the NT monogenes is used is in context of literal parenthood, literal fathering. Christ is unique, but he is also the only truly ans literally begotten. Reqd carefully: 3:16 he gave his son, to give somethint you have to have it, God had a literal son, begotten in his image before everything was (John 1:1-3, Hebrews 1:2, Proverbs 8:22-30, Micah 5:2, Daniel 3:25)
