I’ve had this idea in my mind on a burst tumbler I wanted to make, and this is the perfect technique for it!! I wasn’t sure how to approach it and this was so helpful!! Thank you!!
You’re incredible & your videos are super dope! I made my first tumbler yesterday after watching a few of your videos and will start my second and third tonight! I lovvvvvve this design and I’m so anxious to try it out tonight. 💕
Hopefully you have started your journey!! I do acrylic pours and her channel was on my recommended list. As a result I have binge watched 6 videos and yep. I’m ready to order some supplies🥰
Hello Lela... this is so cool and makes a awesome design. Thanks for inspiration my mind is all over the place on making something new with this technique.. loved this video. hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙 Christmas colors, fall, browns...I wonder if the metalic and pearls would work? Hummmm will have to experiment.
AWESOME! I have some cans of "Krylon" Triple -Thick Crystal Clear Glaze and UV Archival 1375 GLOSS, can I use any of those in place of the Acrylic Sealer?
@@MissKissKreations of course! Quick question! The epoxy is fully dry before you start with the method, correct? I know some of the other methods you do it while the epoxy is wet so it blends in.
i see you painted white then a coat of epoxy before blowing ink...if you use acetone to remove splotches won't it effect the epoxy that you blew the ink on? I am new to this and love this technique and want to do it right!
+Kim Cropper Thank you for watching!!! I make sure I let me tumbler sit for 24 hours before I blew any alcohol ink on the tumbler! Acetone doesn’t remove any of the epoxy. Once taken off with acetone, I would wash the tumbler down with dawn dish soap
Kelly Gallo If the van gets cold, I just wait a couple moments until it cools down. But it doesn’t get cold until the end because I don’t spray too much
Hi I am thinking about trying to make some mugs like you do.. however I'm confused on how or where I can get the lettering or different designs to put on the cups or mugs
I’ve tried making this cup twice now. And it turns out great for the most part. However when I add painters tape to the cup to keep the paint marks from going all the way up the cup I notice that the air either forces it under the edge of the tape or it bleeds through the tape and then alcohol dosen’t make it come back up. Any suggestions to prevent this. On the second on I have applied painters tape to where I want this to stop and have resprayed the top half of the cup with white spray paint, but would like to not have to do this in the future. Thanks!
If you are sealing with epoxy again, why the Krylon clear? Does it seal the ink? Will it run with just an epoxy coat? Sorry new to the world of tumblers.
Can I spray the alcohol inks on the cup before I seal it with epoxy ? I’ve already spray painted my cup white , but I haven’t sealed it with epoxy . Can I use a acrylic sealer to make it a little faster ?
When I did this with other alcohol inks, My ink didn't dry right away and I turned it for a few hours.. It just moved into little puddles of ink. Is it because of the ink I have or because of the epoxy?
Question, can I do this method of alcohol ink on glass? Do I spray paint the glass white white matte and then coat with epoxy before doing the alcohol ink? Has any one done this ?
I think that is a great idea!!! Only thing, I’ve never epoxied glass, I would look up if it is safe to epoxy glass. Other than that, I think it would look fabulous !!

what a really cool technique!
I’m gonna try this looks like fun! Turned out great
I've never seen this technique before! How cool and beautiful! Thanks for doing this tutorial Lela!!
I love ALL of your tumblers but this us my very favorite so far! Thank you for sharing this technique!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I am about to make this one but with white and 1-2 greens only. Let's hope it comes out as cool as yours!
I love the splatter effect you get on the rest of the cup! Beautiful!

Omgoodness. I love this too. Ur gonna have me ordering up supplies. Now I "need" a can of air 😂
Hopefully you have started your journey!! I do acrylic pours and her channel was on my recommended list. As a result I have binge watched 6 videos and yep. I’m ready to order some supplies🥰
Hi. I actually did. But i have since traded in my epoxy Tumblers for sublimation tumblers. Did u start yet??
Beautiful!!!!!Thank you!for sharing. I do have a question, so there is no need to sand in-between epoxy coats????
You can sand. But if the tumbler isn’t bumpy or uneven, there is no need to sand.
You could use alcohol to clean spots too I wipe my resin projects with it all the time...and alcohol can liten inks and clean it up

Love it 😍😍😍!!!
Love it!!!
I like it, so very cool. Ty for your time and showing this technique.
Thank you for this video it was most helpful as im looking at using alcohol ink on a up and coming project.
AWESOME! I have some cans of "Krylon" Triple -Thick Crystal Clear Glaze and UV Archival 1375 GLOSS, can I use any of those in place of the Acrylic Sealer?
Could I do this blowing through a straw instead? It’s going to take a week to get my can but I’ve got plenty of hot air already here. 🤷🏼♀️🤣
I don't think using a straw works very well at least when I did it it didn't.
I use a straw so I can control the ‘spray’ more ...
Now that is bad ass I gotta see how u made it
What is the purpose for the acrylic coating?
I can’t wait to try this, beautiful! Thank you for the video 😃
Did you put down a layer of epoxy first before putting alcohol inks on?
Thank you for sharing 🙏🥰🤩 great idea!
I Loveeee Thisssss. I Will Most Definitely Try.
It's so beautiful!
Thank you so much!

I actually like the little speckles. How can I just get this small speckles only?
Flick the bristles of a small brush, or even a tooth brush
Wow wow wow this is amazing
Looks great x

Kim Cropper you could use alcohol to remove any over spray instead of acetone.
Thanks!
@@MissKissKreations thanks!
So it that shimmer coat of epoxy already dry huh?
Adiabatic cooling it's ok if can gets cold it's from pressure if it didn't then worry...it's bad or empty
Kelly Gallo If the van gets cold, I just wait a couple moments until it cools down. But it doesn’t get cold until the end because I don’t spray too much
I love that I have everything to make this already. Love this. 😍😊
I’ve never seen a cup so unique
Did you let the epoxy cure before you blew the alcohol ink on the cup? And then sealed it with the Krylon clear coat?
Hi I am thinking about trying to make some mugs like you do.. however I'm confused on how or where I can get the lettering or different designs to put on the cups or mugs
Is this being applied over wet epoxy , similar to glitter epoxy method ?
So would you coat it in something like spray or mod podge or epoxy again after ? Would any make it run ?
I’ve tried making this cup twice now. And it turns out great for the most part. However when I add painters tape to the cup to keep the paint marks from going all the way up the cup I notice that the air either forces it under the edge of the tape or it bleeds through the tape and then alcohol dosen’t make it come back up. If you are sealing with epoxy again, why the Krylon clear? Does it seal the ink? Will it run with just an epoxy coat? Sorry new to the world of tumblers.
The Krylon seals the inks in place. If that isn’t used, the ink would run and tend to fade more
How would I do this if instead I wanted it with glitter?
Could you do this with a black back ground ?
You said you had already put epoxy on this and let it cure prior to the alcohol ink?
I ended up letting the resin dry before adding alcohol inks..could I just add another layer then jusy add inks?
Is the epoxy dry? When you blow
So you spray paint it white then clear coat then ink?
Does the Acetone not hurt the epoxy?
I do not have alcohol ink but rather resin ink, would that work?
My tumbler is a bit bumpy. Can I sand then do this or can I just leave it bumpy and it come out smooth?
Hi..can you make a design (heart) using the alcohol inks?
OMG I love this!!!
+Bethany Hawkins Thank you so much!!!
Can this be done with crystalac also?
How long did you let the epoxy dry before u used the ink?
What do you cal the can of air ?
Can this be done on glitter before epoxy?
I blow thru a straw...can air is how much?
A million ways to get from A to Z. And it depends where you reside. You can find it on Amazon.
I sprayed with 2x restoleum matte clear coat...it started to run all over...the clear coat you use doesn’t do that?
That's what I use too and wanted to know if it worked. Did you get it to work?
New friend here and just found you and omg I realy love this thanks for sharing✌❤from ok m Wildeys
How much do you sell your tumblers for?
I’m trying g to do mine and the resin keeps splitting if that makes any sense
Those are called fish eye it happens becuase epoxy repels alcohol -- seal it really good like multiple times
So my alochol inks are drying on the epoxy. it just pools up and runs! Any advice?
May not have enough epoxy on the tumbler.
I tried this and failed miserably. My ink ran all over the cup. Any idea how to stop that from happening?
Practice makes perfect. Keep doing it. Do it slower and you will get it down
Could you use a blow dryer
That would be a good idea. I would use it on low and have the blow dryer further away from the tumbler
thank you I love this
Smiling Still Thank you so much!!
What tool are you using to turn your cup?
+Lynn Schmitz The tool is a cup turner or a tumbler turner. They are Available on Etsy, Michaels, EBay and Amazon!
Can I spray the alcohol inks on the cup before I seal it with epoxy ? I’ve already spray painted my cup white , but I haven’t sealed it with epoxy .
Can I use a acrylic sealer to make it a little faster ?
Do you resin the cup first and let it dry? then apply the ink ? IF so how long do you let the resin cure for before the ink?
That’s correct. For this one I resin then let dry or cure for 15 hours ( at least) then I apply the inks. After inks are applied, I resin again.
Why do you use acetone with alcohol inks? Can't you just use 91% alcohol?
You can. Someone’s the alcohol doesn’t wipe away the inks as much as I want it to. So, I use acetone sometimes.
Thanks Kiss. Xo
whats your favorite epoxy?
When I did this with other alcohol inks, My ink didn't dry right away and I turned it for a few hours.. It just moved into little puddles of ink. Is it because of the ink I have or because of the epoxy?
Hmm. Did you use alcohol ink?
And did you make sure your epoxy was dry before alcohol inking ?
Question, can I do this method of alcohol ink on glass? Do I spray paint the glass white white matte and then coat with epoxy before doing the alcohol ink? Has any one done this ?
I think that is a great idea!!! Only thing, I’ve never epoxied glass, I would look up if it is safe to epoxy glass. Other than that, I think it would look fabulous !!
sorry, can hardly hear you, and i have MY volume all the way up...
Alcohol takes off spots ..
