    IMPORTANT NOTE Epoxy resin is toxic while it is curing, and safety precautions must be taken. Wear proper protective equipment (nitrile gloves, long sleeves, full-face respirator, and apron) and work outside or in a well-ventilated area. Do not allow epoxy resin to touch your skin or be inhaled through fumes or dust. If you get some on your skin, wash it twice well with soap and water. Always read the safety information!

    If you can find the huge star shaped pool noodle you can cut off a section to use for the larger tumblers. It holds them great.

      You totally right it works great....but they go down fast, shrink or mold to small. What am I doing wrong

    • @nanowomansk
      @nanowomansk 4 роки тому

      It maybe due to my setup that I have good luck. I have a cone from a large thread spool glued to pvc section. The spool will slide in until it’s tight. So if the noodle shrinks the spool will add needed pressure to expand the noodle until it’s tight. I wish I could show you a pic.

    I've watched a few different videos on this process, and yours is one of the most accurate on safety.Most of the others don't wear masks, or explain why it should be nitrite gloves to wear. I LOVE the look of this tumbler and I'm a big glitter person LOL I'm eager to make my first one, and I think it's going to be this style. As much as I love glitter, I want something easier for my first one. Thank you for this video.

      polyester glitter will not bleed under epoxy/solvents and doesn't fade as easily in sunlight vs craft glitter, craft glitter is fine when you are starting off and practicing but is not recommend past that. polyester glitter also has better coverage

    Bottoms? Did you add those back on? or just leave it glittered with epoxy? If you added them back (you said you would), why glitter the entire bottom? Or, was that step just showing prep?

      Hi Barbara, I'm a moderator with LLR and I am helping Summer out with answers.... She did not replace the bottoms, hence the purpose of glittering..it adds both design and function! They erred placed on non sick backing because the stickiness would collect random dust n glitter particles.. and Summer is frugal.. she will not waste a thing.. she still find a way to.use them😉

    I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make epoxy tumblers. I can't seem to get past the mod podge. When I add a layer of mod podge then add glitter it looks kind of ok for a first layer. Then when I try to add second layer (even waiting a day later and shaking and rubbing extra glitter) it mixes my glitter in my mod podge and never applies a good solid layer of glitter. I gave up and stopped trying to make tumblers with glitter/paint/etc...Do you have any good helpful tips for me?

      depending on your turner you can take the football or whatever you are using off and then tape the bottle top (you don't want to epoxy the threads anyway) to the turner arm
