Loving this series Nick and great to see it all coming together! I would have definitely been as excited as you were to see the control column going in 😎
Having never built an aeroplane myself , I’m surprised how quick and well it’s coming together . You are doing a good job and an inspiration to any future builders out there . Well done .
It is slow progress at the minute but I am getting there! Thanks for the kind words! Saturday 26/02/2022 at 10am Episode 8 is out! Thank you for watching!
Looking tidy, sensible advice before cutting, read, read and read again! Great with the control stick too. When you see the human control interfaces it starts to get a bit more real I'd assume.
Control stick, wahoo! Looking really good Nick, well done mate. Not surprising really, since you had a Leprechaun playing you a good luck tune on his flute 😳😂
Hi Nick, its interesting seeing the little hurdles that you are coming up against. I bet it's great having access to Paul and the team at Flylight for a confidence check when required. I liked your bit about reading ahead.
Always a good idea to read ahead (but Karen would tell you that I never do that and only ever really read when it starts going wrong!) Who else laughed when Anna got you with the hammer?
Great job so far but just a couple of comments Nick. You would have found it less stressful to have the floor panel removed from the structure to cut the hole. By all means fit it in place to get the picture of how it goes together, but one slip with the Dremel and you could have nicked a tube. Sh!t does happen. Also, maybe put some radiused corners on the hole for stress relief. Although the floor may not be under great stress, cracks eminate from sharp corners in panels when stressed and could save a replacement later.
Thanks for your comment! I have noted what you said and couldn't agree more! The whole thing is a learning curve for me! Episode 8 has been signed off and will be out Saturday 26/02/2022 at 10am.
I’m really enjoying your build video from over here in the US. Why did you decide on the Nynja instead of the Swift 3. I’m trying to figure out how to purchase one in the US since the previous dealer has quit.
Hi Jim. Thank you so much for watching and sorry I have only just got around to replying. The main reason I chose the Nynja over the Swift 3 is the solid back as opposed to the fabric/Xlam. In my opinion it looks nicer and is a little bit lower maintenance but each to their own! I am sure if you get in touch with Flylight Airports directly they will ship you one over as I know they do ship as far as Australia already. Paul Dewhurst is the chap you want to speak to! Make sure you mention my channel if you do! Good luck!
A warning I would give if you have any more composite to cut ware a dust mask, it is bad stuff to breath in, good to see the goggles. Continue to enjoy. My kit is on the pond some place and should be with me in a couple of weeks so I can continue with the Fisher Youngster build which will not be anything as fast as your build.
No I sent the next video to Paul at flylight for approval this afternoon! As soon as he gives me the go ahead I will release it! He has to make sure I’ve not put anything gravely wrong in the episode and cause other people issues!
Deffo getting the hang of these vids mate. Really watchable and really informative. I'd build my own off the back of it erm if I ain't totally lazy
It’s starting to come together now mate. Firing through it! You’ll have the wings on next week 😂
You cutting the hole for the battery was giving me anxiety! 😂 I’m glad the bar didn’t take too long to put right, could have been a lot worse! 😊
Taking shape, I like how you took the hammer with you to look for the potential pop star intruder 😀
This series is actually making me more confident to try this my self, thanks for the content
Good progress, now convinced you are going to build yourself
an excellent aircraft 👍😀 Steve.
Loving this series Nick and great to see it all coming together! I would have definitely been as excited as you were to see the control column going in 😎
You were in the Nynja the small fry making faces while flying ha, ha, I had no idea that you built that sweet plane yourself! That is great!

Coming along nicely. Do you have to use a torque wrench on the nuts and bolts. Haunted airfield 😀
