I wasn’t injured at all during this stunt. Granted it was a hard hit, I fell on a pad and was also wearing hi impact body pads which saved my butt."

"Gibby’s stunt guy suffered no broken bones during this fall. On a podcast, Noah Munck said he thought this guy suffered 3 broken ribs & ended up in the hospital. That is 100% not true. Stuntman @dustintcourtney hit the ground from a RECORD height of 11 1/2 feet onto a 2 1/4 foam pad that was painted to match the floor. He & stunt coordinator @vincedeadrick rehearsed a day before starting at 5 feet, 6 feet, 7 feet & so on. Many rehearsals into larger thicker pads, they then slowly downsized. Dustin was so extremely confident he could do this onto such a thin high density pad. DS ended up being very impressed with it. It became known as the ‘The Gibby Drop’ and whenever Vince brought Dustin back on S&C & HD, he became quite famous for that stunt and everyone loved talking to him about it all those years later."

Gibby’s stunt double did not break his ribs during this stunt. The photo at the end was taken after the stunt occurred. Noah must’ve misremembered his character’s line as what actually happened.
Props to the stunt team for taking these risks to make these scenes possible!
You need to check your source. It’s an interview with Noah saying he did break his ribs and was carted off. He didn’t die obviously but he did get messed up bad as Noah who played Gibby confirmed

@@sadlittlebikerack No, they're not. The stunt coordinator might be skewing the truth a bit to deflect critisicm. In that breaking some ribs is a risk in the industry, but the double didnt die or something.
The one from the double is an unverified comment on a UA-cam video.

Bro probably got knocked out by that fall. Even when they get winded they tend to give some sort of hand gesture or moan or something when someone calls out to them, that's kind of a good thing to do so people know whether or not you're seriously hurt, even if you're not confident in moving. Legs and limbs look pretty stiff, like might happen after a knockout, too. IDK about broken ribs, but it doesn't seem like he has on much, if any, padding below his clothing. You can generally see that, especially from this angle, they're pretty thick, it's similar to motocross armor, and he would need something substantial if it's like an 11 foot flat fall like they say. Definitely breaks his fall in the correct way, you can even see that in the footage, but his head fucking bounces, his whole body bounces, more than someone would in a normal fall. There's no way this fall is safe. The mat doesn't have enough give for it to be safe from that height, that size of mat is more like, something to prevent skin from ripping open, basically. Basically a yoga mat, that doesn't have enough ability to spread out the impact. You can see the lack of give in the pad, both in this, and in the regular scene. You would need something closer to a crash pad for a safe fall from this height.
IDK, I'd believe it if he got hospitalized because of this, and he just signed an NDA or didn't talk about it something. Doesn't seem like a particularly high profile stunt actor (those don't even really exist, frankly), and that sort of thing happens somewhat often in stunts. Knowing what's going on with the rest of this show, it's not unbelievable.
Really hard to tell. The youtube comment isn't really valid evidence for me because it's too easy to fake, the stunt coordinator just says he was "OK", which could mean anything short of dying, and I don't really believe dan schneider for obvious reasons. If I was making a youtube documentary or something, I would probably reach out to him, but idk, best way to do that would probably be to get IMDB pro and get his actual contact info. Might try his instagram though.
I think he says “yeah” in response to the 3rd time he is called but that could be someone else on the set
