This vacuum is incredible for being cordless. I bought this one about 6 months ago, and have been really satisfied with it. Wish the led lights worked when the handle is disconnected....but that's a minor issue. Also, don't trust the battery % reading after using it on high power carpet mode. I have used it that way, battery shows 30%....turn it off and then back on 5 minutes later and it's showing 90%. Also, on medium power it makes a very high pitched ear piercing sound which can be annoying.
I have a long haired German Shepherd, and a 2k square foot ranch home with 70% hardwood floors. It will clean all of my floors on one charge, and is a life saver for dog hair.

Air cooled battery is such an overlooked feature.
This vacuum has it and it will give the battery a longer lifespan.
Batteries that are charged while warm (which they often are after a vacuuming session) are worn more than if you let them sit and cool for a bit before charging them, but you don’t need to add that extra step of administration to your life, cause of the aircooled feature!❤❤❤❤

Long time viewer, first time taking a recommendation to buy. We have 100 percent hard floors and really detest sweeping. It’s been less than a day but preliminary results are really astounding. We’re picking up things my old Dyson V7 left behind and the machine is much more ergonomic than anything Dyson is making at half the cost of their flagship. This design must be evergreen. Easily the best cordless vac I’ve used, having handled half a dozen of them or so.

Thought I'd drop a comment here after a year of using mine.
    Pros:
    - It's Really quiet!
    - Light weight and easy to use. Stair cleaning with this is super pleasant.
    - The battery life. I can go a week at a time without having to pop the battery on charge! (Only takes me about 5-10 mins to clean the house and a 4-day schedule)
    - Removable and replaceable battery!
    - Screen is clear and readable
    - The ergonomics of the handle are really good, super comfy to hold
    Cons:
    - No onboard tool storage! Why is this not a thing?!
    - The bin. It's small, the cone mesh get stuff tangled around it and hair like to wrap itself around the central pillar in the bin meaning you have to get in there with your hands.
    - The filters are a nightmare to remove
    - Filters the foam filter clogs almost immediately (after about a week) and there is nothing I can do about that. My testing showed that even after using a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal, for a week, the little shark filters will still clog up after around a week (my house isn't all the dusty)
    - The floorhead cannot be fully disassembled to facilitate cleaning (just the soleplate and front roller can be removed)
    - The main pod of the vacuum can be a pain to quickly put back on the machine. This has caused me to drop the machine on numerous occasions.
    - Will not let you change a setting on the handle until the little start up animation has played, this is a problem as the machine starts in the last set brush mode and default suction mode
I have gone back to using my Dyson Light Ball (UP22) as the main cleaner in my house. The Shark Cordless is now used for my hard floors and if someone has spilled some crumbs on the sofa or the floor.
All in all while there are quite a few negatives I would still recommend to people looking for an affordable cordless vacuum with stunning hard floor performance!

Our P50 was and is still our favorite all purpose vacuum we’ve ever used. I’ll have to try one of these new ones to replace our old p50 that has 200,000 miles on it

  • @arevee9429
    @arevee9429 3 роки тому +19

Looks almost identical to the P50 which I had. I found having all the weight at the base made it feel less nimble than a stick vacuum. The weight in the handle doesn't bother me, but we are all different. With carpet, the fluffy roller doesn't seem that important but having moved to the desert to a house with all hard floors, it's looking much better. The robots don't seem to get up all the fine grit that inevitably finds its way inside.

    • @Love00Mother00Earth
      @Love00Mother00Earth 3 роки тому +3

I feel like complaining about the weight of a stick vacuum is something vacuum reviewers feel they have to do. Nobody I know is bothered by it, and I can't see why you would be unless you were particularly weak or arthritic or something. Totally agree a stick-style feels more nimble - the weight is closer to where you're moving from and there's less inertia to worry about.
Presenting this style as a positive seems mad to me - it's comparatively massive and heavy, yet Shark's handle design is so bulky it's barely any smaller than using a stick-style base unit. Not to mention you need to use two hands to do any above-floor cleaning - one to hold the handle, one to hold the vacuum.

Based on this review I recently bought this Shark model ICZ362H and have used it for a week now. I bought it to replace a new Tineco Pure One S11 I had recently purchased but was not happy with. The suction on the Tineco was mediocre at best and my Golden Retriever hair was constantly getting tangled in the brush head and the dust cup. I have to say I am really impressed with the Shark. No tangled pet hair in the roller and suction is much better than the Tineco Pure One 11. The Shark is definitely heavier to push around but it is very maneuverable and not overly heavy in the hand. I couldn't believe how much dirt and dog hair this Shark picked up right after vacuuming the carpet with the Tineco. This has 3 speed options and a hard floor and carpet option. I got 37 minutes of constant battery life while vacuuming carpets on the medium setting which is awesome. I was a little worried about the convenience factor of the motor and canister being closer to the ground but it is very simple to detach and reattach when you need to, which is only when you want to go further under couches or beds or when using to do stairs or using it as a portable vacuum. All in all this is a great vacuum. Thanks for the review that led me to it.

I just got mine today after watching this review and so far I'm really liking it. Being able to vacuum completely under a bed is pure magic coming from a Dyson Ball. One subtle thing I haven't seen mentioned is that in a couple ways it's a little awkward for lefties. If you're holding the handle in your left hand and try to lift the pod away with your right, there doesn't seem to be a way to do this without ending up with the hose on the wrong side of the tube - you have to swap hands. Also, when holding the pod in your right hand, having the hose attach to the pod on the right (far) side of the pod is a little awkward. Nothing major really but worth noting.

Would enjoy a head2head shootout with the v15! How does the led headlight compete with the laser fluffy roller? Which would you buy? Is the battery replaceable? I just bought the v15 but I’m wondering if I made the right decision. The weight, lack of a hose, and the fact that it doesn’t stand on its own are annoying. As I’m vacuuming around chairs it’s also more work to switch between the fluffy head to a brush attachment so I can get fur&dust trapped around chair pads. I have to carefully lay the whole wand down, switch attachments, then pick it back up and re-stow the attachment in the accessory clip when I’m done. Getting my aerobics in for sure!

I know this is a two year old video, commenting because it seems that this vacuum is now discontinued?
I own 4, we use them for a bed and breakfast and here are my thoughts should someone from shark read this:
    1. I like this so much more than their folding stick model, I hope they do continue to develop this style.
    2. The accessories are fine but where do you store them? Clips on the vacuum or some way to attach would be nice so the accessory is available when you need it.
    3. The display is not ideal (as with their other vacuums too). A delayed start is fine but I find myself waiting 3 seconds before I can change the settings. Manual toggles would be much nicer so I don’t need to wait to see if I pressed the button too early or hard enough… keep display simple.
3, with any vacuum it would be nice if someone built a crevice too into the vacuum… something retractable that narrows as it detracts?
Just my two cents… I am using vacuum me all the time and never find the time to comment.

I bought this vacuum solely on this video (I mean a watched and read a ton but this is the one that sold me) I've had it over a month and I stand by everything you say in it. My daughter and I have long (elbow length hair) and we have a heavy shedding dog. I usually have to cut hair from the vacuum often but have not had to with this. There was a minor clog once when it picked up the hair my old vacuum left behind but I was able to detangle it by hand and didn't need to cut. After that initial carpet clean no issues.
The cons? I find the power isn't what I'd like it to be when using rhe hose and not the power head. It's OK but not as much as I hoped you really gotta Amp it up. The other? Your video shows the dusting want for the top of a fan and that is about one of the only situations I can find a use for it. The suction holes are recessed in such a way that it renders it useless for dusting photos, small ledges, above door frames etc. This is a real miss to me.
We have a puppy now too and I. Beyond amazed how well its doing picking up fluff n stuff from his destroyed toys and bits of cardboard and paper that he has shredded. Hair is one thing but giant clumps of fluff n stuff? That's next level amazing. Thank you for all you do. I appreciate the time and energy you put into these videos 💕

Been looking at vacuums for a couple months now and didn't find the perfect unit to do everything I want well at a reasonable price point. Looked at Lupe, S65D, Lindhaus valzer digital pro, Dyson V15, Onepwr hepa+. Saw this review go up yesterday and after quickly re-comparing, ordered this from bestbuy for $400. It's a great price to performance, no need to change heads due to changing floor type, lifts away for handheld stair cleaning, anti hair wrap design which is huge for me as that's what I end up performing maintenance on the most, and has quality HEPA filtration for clean exhaust which should be a standard feature in this day and age. I have mostly low pile carpet floors and stairs and am replacing an anemic Linx platinum cordless stick vac that's 10 years old now. I love this shark. I purchased the vertex upright and I love it as well. Also I purchased the vertex canister as well. I have to say I really like both upright models. I wish they would have made the power head on the canister larger . The vertex pro cordless gave me a total run Tim of 45 mins with still enough battery life left. I got that by using the default method to vacuum all the carpets and the went over them on high power for the deep down dirt . I still 40percent battery for cleaning with the pod and tools .

Hello, I am looking for your advise. We are looking to get a new vacuum, until now we had cleaners come bi-weekly and maintained with a Dyson V6 but are loosing the cleaners at the end of this week. Our three level 1500sq ft townhouse is mostly hardwood with few area rugs, 2 sets of carpeted stairwells and tiled bathrooms. We also have a golden retriever that sheds quite a lot, drags sand/dirt into the house and his dog food seems to always be on the kitchen floor, which the Dyson V6 can pick up. We are limited for storage space, currently our Dyson V6 is mounted in a pantry, so this will be our only vacuum. Price will play into the decision but if we are getting a quality build product that will last us a long time, we don't mind paying more. My wife likes the ease of a cordless vacuum but we would also be ok with a canister vacuum either way it must be bag-less. With all this said I feel I am torn between buying this Shark Vertex Pro Powered Lift-Away Cordless or the Dyson V15. For a canister I do like the Miele CX1 Blizzard cat and dog but feel it is limited with it's head. What vacuum would you recommend for my situation?
Also would you be willing to do a comparison video for the Shark Vertex Pro Powered Lift-Away Cordless vs the Dyson V15? (Similar to your V10 vs P50)

Not sure about this model, but the biggest problem we've had with the similar P50 is the powered head breaking. Once it was the wire going from the main body to the head (right at the pivot point). A couple hours and lots of little proprietary screws, and I got that fixed. Then the plastic housing around the soft brush broke, making it unfixable. Found another head, since it was cheaper than new vacuum, and after 5 months it's breaking around the soft roller again. I will say, we have our kids helping with vacuuming, so they aren't very gentle when slamming the head up against the cabinet bases on the kitchen floor (nor is my wife, honestly, she just wants to get it done), so we're pretty tough on the little vacuum, but I wish they weren't surrounded by fragile, clear plastic up front.
It does pick up a ton of stuff on the hardwood, though, so...we'll probably keep fixing the Shark for since it's still cheaper than a new model or a Dyson.

I bought this based on this review. A couple things to note are: Battery powered units are much smaller than a corded model. They are basically good for 900sq feet or less. There is no place on the unit to store the attachments. The battery has to be removed to charge. This vacuum has an unpleasant noise when it runs and the wheels are also noisy on tile. I would not have bought this had I known all of that.

I will say this I wish it did have a place to store the attachment that would be great. but other than that I'm very pleased with it. Now what I do is I use the default mode and I go over the entire carpets with that first to pick up any of the larger debris and lite dirt and dust that may be area that is not walked on a lot and then I switch it over to Max mode for that deep down cleaning of the high-traffic areas. And I still have literally 40 to 30% battery life which allows me to take the pod off to clean Furniture stairs mattresses blinds whatever I need to with just the hose and the pod. Like I said this by far is my favorite cordless upright. And I also have the vertex upright corded unit and the canister and by far I have to say I like both of my uprights. Breathe dust and light dirt that might be in the area so don't get walked on a lot then I switch it over to Max mode and I do a thorough deep cleaning of the high-traffic areas and then that will usually leave me with a 30 to 40% battery life still on the unit which allows me to take the pod off and the hose to do my attachment work. Then when I do is I take the battery and I let the battery set and cooldown can you know where it's located it has a tendency of being warm from the exhausted are so I like to let it cool down completely before putting it on the charger I feel that this help the charging process cuz it's not trying to overcharge warm batteries. But as far as the noise from the power head once again I have not experienced that

This is so convenient in every possible way for all the reasons mentioned in the video. I owned two stick vacuums and the weight at the top plus the number of times they tipped over and cracked... never again. The only problem I found with this unit is that you have to be very careful to push the handle in all the way until it fully clicks. You might accidentally un-seat it without realizing it and carry it upstairs and it may break away. I have picked it up by the handle and the main unit dropped a couple of feet at least twice. I was obsessed with the ion P50 for a while but could never justify the price. when they discontinued it, I was able to get one at my local costco for around $150. jumped on that deal! it works perfectly for my needs as I just use it on my main floor of my house with mostly hardwood floors and the occasional area rug. as for this newer version; airflow at the head on max power is 30 in the video, but the predecessor, ion P50 was 36. seems like a step down although it does seem to have longer battery life. 3 power settings sound nice, but I'm fine with the 3 lights on the battery instead of the screen. the real plus over the ion P50 here is the zero-m/anti hair wrap tech. Is the power head reverse compatible? would love to swap in the power head if it is!

So I bought this vacuum back in February based on your recommendation from the two-three videos you've done on it. It's broken in 3 places since, in not even 6 months. Shark didn't want to honor the warranty and was trying to make me pay $110 to get a replacement after I had already spent $400+ on the vacuum. I was livid and disappointed in not only their product, but their customer service as well. Customer service should be, IMO, one of the biggest factors in which company you purchase from. Thankfully after some begging and pleading he said he could send me the unit for $20 shipping. I obliged and waited the 3-5 days. Now this whole time I'm talking about the model in this video, the ICZ362H. They didn't tell me at any time on the phone they didn't have any in stock, and they sent me out the stick version instead. This one is model IZ662H. They both appear to be almost identical in terms of features. The only difference I can find is the battery form factor, and stick vs upright. They both use the duo clean power fins dual brush roller. Is there any way you could compare the ICZ362H in this video, to the cordless stick version of the vertex pro cordless, IZ662H? Thanks for the videos, and maybe next time we could see some real life scenarios of customer service support and their resolution to problems with a product purchased within the first year. Sounds like a lot but it would be probably more helpful than just seeing which one sucks the most(pun intended lol)

I forgot to mention the 3 points of failure on mine, so here they are. The locking "joint" I guess you'd call it, that keeps the roller head from moving/bending when lifting the vacuum is broke. Any time you pick the vacuum up the head just dangles. One of the wheels has stopped staying in with the supplied bolt. It just falls out when you turn the vacuum in the direction opposite of the wheel. It's the left wheel on mine so any time I turn it right, the wheel just falls out. The last point of failure is the "main unit" part with the filters and battery. Normally you have the press the "lift away" button to pull the unit away from the wand and head, but the release latch at the bottom is stuck in the lift away button so any time you lift it, it just pulls away from the unit. Not sure if I described it very well since I don't know all of the correct terminology. It still "works" but it's not a good time at all. You have to hold the vacuum with two hands and twist it to keep the roller head evenly on the floor. Otherwise is leans to the left where the wheel is missing and the right side just sits up in the air not sucking anything up.

Is it better than the shark vertex powered lift away duo

Is the hose better? Meaning my shark Apex falls over if you stretch it 2 to 3 feet. I always have to prop it against something so it doesn't crash on the floor.

What would be the reason to pick this over the vertex upright corded?

We bought this after watching your review. It’s an amazing cordless vacuum. Wasn’t happy with our cordless Dyson. The Shark Vertex is probably the best vacuum I’ve used for hard surface floors.

Curious about your recommendation on this vacuum vs the Shark Cordless Vertex Pro? I'm planning to buy one of them but Shark doesn't have much info on the site for me to compare the two models.

Agreed. Just bought the normal cordless vertex pro and would love a comparison.
