When I worked at Mugler in the 90's we had Italian fabrication and it was spot on, really impeccable and I was very proud to work for a label with that high end of craftsmanship!!!
Am I the only one that thinks the orangery would look lovely if all the decorative details were picked out in colours either to coord with the floral reliefs and tiles high up on the chateau or in black to match the balcony railings?
in australia our op shops are now too expensive to buy anything..once the shops found out the value of clothes and furniture they bucked up the prices..so people not well off really cant afford to buy things there now.....markets are still the best way to go here..loved this episode very much!
Here in California the drink the girls had is called a Shirley Temple. As a child it would be a treat in the 1970's for me (ginger ale, grenadine, and lime juice). She was a child actress and the drink was given the name as it was prepared for her in the 1930's.
The orangerie looks stunning. Great job, guys! Love the Playmobiles. Loved the shopping, jewelry, and silk scarves. The €1600.00 necklace seemed crazy in the charity shop. I loved the mirror, though.❤
Hello! I think you’ve missed including the part where you gave them the Jean-Paul Gaultier champagne. What’s their reaction? I've been waiting for it to come up…😊
Dear Vivienne, nice to have assistance from professional designers but you have exquisite taste. You surely will succeed with jewelry design also. Good luck !
Your friends have done a wonderful job on the exterior of your chateau. Any jewellery you design is bound to be a feast for the eyes. Loved the chit chat about lemonade. The hand painted scarves were a thing of beauty. It was lovely to see what you have been getting up to X
Hello Vivienne and Simon, Vivienne as artistically talented you are, I highly suggest that you take your friends up on the idea if you designing jewelry. Also, I am so happy that your 2 fashion designer friends are showing what great friends they are by helping you and Simon paint your chateau! Elizabeth in Texas
As always, you have such lovely friends! With your impeccable taste in finding beautiful & interesting pieces, as well as artistic talent, I’d love to see you start your own line! The way Bowie laid on Simon’s lap was so cute too! Ps the exterior painting is an amazing transformation!
Ahahahaha your sense of humor, Vivienne ❤ If your jewelry design is anything like your porcelain painting, absolutely go for it! Beautiful transformation of your facade.
Seeing the mini purfume bottle collection, took me back to my single days. I used to collect them too. And that art deco wardrobe was lovely, left out in the wheather!! I live in Napier, New Zealand, they call it the Art Deco capital of the world! Great job of the front of the Chateau, it seems to have made the whole fasarde look like its been cleaned. I love when you take us shopping. Id haveto bring an empty suitcase to fill up!! Your jewerly choices are stunning too. Charity shops here, have put prices up alot. I love Opp shopping. (here in New Zealand theyre called Opportunity shops). Great episode, look forward to next weeks episode... Oh and the clip ons, I used to wear them in the 80's, my peirced ears closed, thats why I wore them. And yes they hurt after a while! I still have a couple of pairs, never wear them though!
Vivienne, never underestimate the love one can have for a local hardware store. My ACE carries Benjamin Moore and a house brand that is formulated by BM. This store also carries stuff that works with my 100 year old building’s windows, plumbing and electrical. The whole staff knows me (27 years of patronage) and even though I don’t have a Reno project right now, I stop in to say hello. They are a 10 minute walk from my building.
I think you should open your own jewelry design. I think you would sell like crazy!! I told my daughter you were from Memphis!!! She lives in Memphis!!! She thought it was cool!!! I just bet you are loads of fun to be around. It shows. Lots of love from Tennessee!!❤❤❤
Wow! Your daughter lives in Memphis? How lovely. It’s a great city and I’d love to go back one day. We do try to have fun! Thank you for joining us! 🥰🏰💖
Wow Vivienne, those are good friends who will come and paint such detailed ironwork for you!! And I love the gifts you’ve picked out. I want to play with the little castle and horses too!! I’d love to see some of your own jewelry pieces on your website. As always, you’re always such a joy to watch!! Love from Mary in Southern California 💗🏰
So much fun at Château Love, Vivienne. The exterior of the l'orangerie looks fantastic; so kind of your artistic friends to lend a brush...I mean a hand 😅. Looks like the young ladies were enjoying their "Shirley Temples." The original used ginger ale, grenadine (a pomegranate syrup), with a fresh lime, and a maraschino cherry. Now, they often use 7Up or Sprite instead of ginger ale and lime.
In the US, the drink with grenadine and sprite is called a Shirley Temple. Vivian, the idea of you designing jewelry is perfect! Your taste is exquisite! Also redesigning pieces that have broken would be great. ❤
Bonjour - Hello from Quebec City Canada where you find the Chateau Frontenac known around 😮the word. Your chateau looks gorgeous absolutely gorgeous ! Great job guys Bravo ! 🇨🇦
This was such an enjoyable episode/vlog. What wonderful friends, they help you with a house painting project, and they are so much fun. Loved the kids' toys you bought for your friend's grandkids.
Vivienne, another fantastic video. I think that you would an amazing jewelry designer. It shows from the pieces you curate and your incredible artistic aptitude that you already possess. Your eye has class, elegance and sometimes whimsy. Which I particularly appreciate, (dragon pendant anyone? I loved that piece.). Maybe try out a few bespoke pieces and see how it goes? I know nothing is that simple. But I would love to see it. Can't wait to see your portrait of your beautiful daughter. Jusqu'à la prochaine fois! (I hope that is right?!)
New lipstick for your beautiful chateau......and what talented and giving friends! Adore the pale blue vase from Emmaus....it would have been mine if I'd found it first! What a lovely picnic and concert on the chateau grounds! A perfect reveal to end a lovely vlog! Cheers!
What a huge difference painting that does to the facade of the entire Chateau!!!! The color matches perfectly with the Chateau's stone work too!! It's gorgeous! And thank you for recording your 'garage sale and charity shop adventures' too! I love them and wish I could shop at Brocante's etc over there - sooo much gorgeous old gems, unlike here in the States!!!!
Great video Vivienne. Love the music and your friends. Did your friend buy any scarves they looked so beautiful. Maybe to frame some ??? Very hard to find such treasures these days.Cheers.Watching from Australia.
What wonderful eclectic and talented people you have in your life ! Tis a true friend who actually gets down to work and helps ! Particularly with painting ! what a transformation for your glorious chateau ! It looks as though it was designed for a beautiful stylish female in the past and now another resides there ! Gifts for others Vivienne x as ever ! Wonderful vlog x you should design your own jewellery as nobody as capable as yourself ! I adore my bags x
Vivienne I think creating a line of jewelry is a great idea as long as you have a customer base bigger than and more marketable than the Château universe of UA-cam. 😊
Chateau inspired jewelry is a great idea, especially rings and bracelets for men. I notice a lot of European men wear broaches. In the U.S., not so much. I find myself going to your website often and disappointed when a one-of-a-kind piece has sold. So a run of really unique pieces for men would be a dream come true.
Your chateau is so gorgeous on the outside!!!! THOSE FLOWERS!!!!! I had a lapis long necklace and if I held it by one end, it would spin slowly and then go faster almost horizontally. I could control it by just thinking to slow or even stop dead and it would. Not lying. The stones have some sort of power. You don't make enough videos!!!
Wow! I want to run upstairs and try that with the necklace! It does feel so powerful to wear the lapis. And you are absolutely correct…I would love to make more videos. Just got to find more hours in the day! 🥰🏰💖
@@ChateauLove Your happy face makes my day! I just love what you have done with the place, as they say. Do you have any videos showing your Paris home?
Hi Vivienne and Simon, the orangery is absolutely beautiful it transforms the whole front of the chateau . I loved the Jean-Paul Gautier champagne bottle. How lucky were you to come across it. 😘🇨🇮
Creating and selling your own jewelry is a great idea! I would like to see you sell your painted plates and tiles. I absolutely ADORE the bird plates you painted. I was astounded when I first saw them, they are so exquisite and absolutely gorgeous.
This episode was exceptional! It had everything from hardware to grand reveals with a lot of great content with friends, family and rehabs in between, I had bought that JPG Champagne back in the day and eventually gifted it to a dear friend ... unopened. It's probably in that same state to this day as it is such an iconic piece. Made me feel a bit my age when the girls weren't sure who he was (!). Such a beautiful necklace that lapis/silver. Sad that it sold and not to me! I have to add that being somewhat obsessed with chateaus, I find yours to be such a beautiful style and quite different from the rest. Now the facade is gorgeous also! Well done! ♥ B
Thank you so much! Actually, the buyer of the necklace had a change of heart due to unforeseen personal financial circumstances just as it was being shipped and it has just been relisted! 🏰💖
Fabulous guys and restoration. I wonder if they thought you should let the green light in? The great gifts you found. The streets of Tour where my forebears would have walked. The darling perfume bottles and silk painted scarves left me drooling. I also collect them. Great vlog as usual Vivienne
It's always such a treat to see the latest installment of Chateau Love. Vivienne, you never fail to inspire me and put a smile on my face, thank you! Eric
The orangerie looks fantastic now. So nice to see some close ups of the ceramic features on the chateau too. I have always wondered what they looked like up close. They are a stunning feature.
@27:37, the art decor wardrobe, my husbands aunt had one and her son took the doors off and made small side/coffe tables as the carcass was rotten. We don't have antiques here like you do. Hugs :)
Vivienne have you been to Pain d’epices in Paris in Passage Jouffoury? I have. ought a miniature Mercerie Shop and a Fromage shop….you make all the contents, all the cheese out of fimo. You paint the facade …..I just love them and they are so real. You could make the Fromage shop for Simon for Christmas! I made one of them during covid. You probably know the shop. 🤗🌳

Viven, such a fun video, thanks. The Chateau is looking so lovely. Cheers from Barcelona.
Omg you slay me! That sexy 70s music , with you oohing in the background while the tape is stripped away! 😂😂😂
The updates are spectacular!
The orangeries new paint is fresh and clean and perfect color!
The orangerie looks stunning. Great job, guys!
Love the Playmobiles. Loved the shopping, jewelry, and silk scarves. The €1600.00 necklace seemed crazy in the charity shop. I loved the mirror, though.❤
What a wonderful time. This lifted my spirits after a very long Monday. ❤
I had never noticed that beautiful curved balcony off the orangery. What great friends to help with this big painting job.
You have such clever and amazing friends because you deserve them Vivienne. Everything looking great 🤗
Thank you so much! 🏰💖
The exterior of the L’Orangerie is Gorgeous!!!!!!
Hello! I think you’ve missed including the part where you gave them the Jean-Paul Gaultier champagne. What’s their reaction? I've been waiting for it to come up…😊
Two great friends
To paint the orangery , those
2 are wonderful
Persons. Friends
For life. 😊
Yes, they’re so very lovely! 🏰💖
In 🇨🇦 we call those drinks Shirley Temples , they are yummy !! Beauty job on the painting, looks way better, thanks for update !
I grew up in Southern California, and that's what we called them too. As a kid I felt so sophisticated if we dined out and got to order one. ❤
Oh yes…I remember Shirley Temples! 😁🏰💖
I was going to say the same thing about Shirley Temples - but the special thing was the maraschino cherry with a stem garnish.❤
Yep!
@@ChateauLoveand grenadine with coke and a cherry was a Roy Rogers 😊

I would totally buy the venetian mirror... The playmobiles are amazing. So much fun! ✨️🏰✨️
Goodness, now I’m having Venetian Mirror remorse! 😂😂🏰💖
Listening to you I always wear clip on earrings and I struggle to find them. I am 77 years old though lol so classed as old fashioned lol🤗
That’s great to know! I see beautiful ones that I’d love to sell but never know if anyone would buy them! 🥰🏰💖

VIVIAN! That Murano mirror was a deal and you could have gotten a bit off. What was wrong with it? 🤨
Hello Vivienne and Simon,

Elizabeth in Texas
A couple of cherry blossom trees would look pretty flanked by some roses instead of those overgrown schrubs.
when I watch you, I find myself smiling so thank you for that.
In the 50's we wore clip earrings but they came into high fashion again in the 80's.
As always a pleasure
Your designer friends did a magnificent job painting. Your chateau is sparkling 😍Looking forward to the next episode 😍😘

Do the boys have a channel ? Love those scarves!
Did the fellas enjoy their gift? This was such a fun episode. I'd cut those big flanking shrubs into spheres. Well done all!
Yes, they loved it! And sadly I didn’t film it! Hmmm…hadn’t thought of spheres. That’s a great idea! 🏰💖
Love the variety in your video.
I find it amusing that 80s earings are back in vogue.
We had colour co ordinated earings for every outfit.😂😂😂
What great friends.
A kiddy cocktail. Geridine and Sprit. Champange botte is so neat. Its good to play. Blessed to have the gentlemen to help and paint.
That was lovely! The guys were great to help out! It looks fantastic!
Fabulous result 😍 impeccable 👌
Grenadine and lemon lime pop is a Shirley Temple! My favorite special beverage when I was growing up. Memories...
What a great idea to have your own line of jewelry. You are so creative, can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Clip earrings can be adjusted for grip strength. Just a wee bend forward or back of the shaped prong will do the trick.
