Gosh! I LOOOVEEE Cara Gee`s accent/pronounciation when explaining the Go-Signal "Thhat will explode and turn into a door. Good Hunting! - Tenye wa chesh gut!"
@@andiecph from what I understand, Cara Gee modeled it somewhat on the accent that Jared Harris came up with for Anderson Dawes, but also makes it more like English is her second language, more stilted than when she speaks in Belter Creole. It's incredible.
It's probably my favorite character, on par with Miller and Amos, Camina is amazing and the actress playing her is the opposite, always smiling and very funny.
You are right that Avasarala suggested striking Deimos as a chess move. She read the room and saw that Souther's peace argument would fail. Everyone else wanted to make a substantial strike, so she suggested an objective significant enough to quell their bloodlust, but would have small enough real consequences that Mars might not make an ape-crazy response. I do think Alex is responding to his guilt over abandoning his family, and that's spilling over to guilt in other areas.
6:31 one of the founders of the studio that made this show is Fred Smith, who was also the founder of FedEx. apparently they asked him if they could use the FedEx logo in this episode and he thought it was funny and said yes
There was no Protomolecule on that station - you've seen what it does to people. We might not be able to directly use the Protomolecule, but if we can understand *how* it does what it does, we could use the same processes to change organic matter. Of course, Dresden essentially admitted he doesn't know what, exactly, it's doing or why.
Miller first saw Dresden on the Phoebe Station video message that was on the chip taken from the dead data broker's leg. We saw it when he showed it to Captain Shadid and she took it and fired him. Then Miller recognised Dresden on Eros but Holden stopped him from shooting Dresden. So this is the third time Miller has seen Dresden, the second time in real life, and the first time to speak to.
Ooops. Dresden was also on the recording taken from the Anubis that the crew played back last episode. Not sure whether or not Miller saw it. He came up the stairs just afterwards. So maybe the fourth time seeing him one way or another.
By the way, today's reaction was short, like last week's. But you hit all the important beats and story points. Very good! Quite nicely done! So much fun seeing you enjoying this and discovering the story along the way.
Great reaction and analysis! Your questions and theories about the Protomolicule are very interesting. Answers are coming! Looking forward to the next one!
I would say that most of the people in the UN security council were out for blood; they were actively looking to smash something of Mars' to somehow convince Mars that resistance was futile. Crisjen understood that and decided that it was better to select the target to prevent it from being _too_ egregious and to make sure that the bloodthirsty faction believes that she is their asset. She decided it was better to retain her access than pick that particular fight. Her ability to make that decision is one reason that Admiral Souther and others have a low opinion of her.
@@andiecph Yes, they weren't expecting a military assault. The gel rounds were for crowd control purposes, in case those fruity scientists got unruly. Can't risk actually hurting them too badly!

Yes! It's quite unique, I'm not sure if it's her own accent of if she added it to her Belter character
@@andiecph Watch some interviews with Cara Gee, it's most definitely not her own accent :)

@@andiecph Cara was born and raised in Canada. Her accent is for the show.
Ah, Drummer. An intelligent, vengeful, stiff necked, sarcastic and funny all around BAMF.

I know right. I'd like to see a franchise of sci Fi action movies with her as the star.
Yes, the reaction at the finale was the same as mine, Josephus effing Miller 😁

I think Chris did a good job, things could have escalated, though Mars woun't forget this either.

oh so thats why his face was familiar to me too, I just wasn't sure I had seen the actor somewhere else or before in this series
@@andiecph The Expanse is ~lovely~ for rewatches... So many details you get rewarded with!
@@andiecph Yes, Dresden was the one who was setting up the laser beam gimzo which was feeding energy into Julie's corpse.
I gotta say, we need to pay some respects to Clinton Shorter and his AWESOME OST in this episode (and many others)!!!
This was a great reaction, it is one of my favorites. I can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of this season.

Hiya Andie, this season is pure gold! In the most hyporbolic sense of course 😅
it's a good season so far ^^
Remember Miller's comment, that Gel rounds would be something you'd expect Prison guards or Riot police to have....
yup, someone told me the same which is crazy!

yep, security armed with gel rounds, and people on station turned violent in an instant...
yeah but thats because they were addicted to the virus
@@andiecph Not to the virus itself. Their situation will be made clear next.
Its good seeing you getting so excited by this show, andi.
thank you :D
