He’s just a legend. Loved him in every role, from Young Frankenstein to that amazing X-Files episode to Taxi Driver to Raymond, etc. We really did lose this guy too soon to myeloma-72 is a good life, but he had more to give, save for that disease. So glad all his Raymond costars still gather annually to raise money in remembrance of him. PUTTIN’ ON THE RIIITTTTTTTTZZZZZZAHHHHHHHRGHHH
I always wondered what Peter Boyle would be like in reality. He was clearly a real nice down to earth chap. Greatly Missed ....and 'Putting on the Ritz' in another dimension!
Just watched him in that movie, "The Candidate" -1972, with Robert Redford. Great movie, a classic which everybody should get a look at, especially these days. Peter Boyle was a great great actor. Everyone associates him with "Everybody Loves Raymond" but his filmography is much more. The movies he's done with Mel Brooks are great. Peter was too funny. Loved that show. He left an impeccable legacy, still missed. I'm sure Doris and He are up in Heaven making God and everyone laugh.
Boyle might have received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for The Candidate if it hadn't come out in the same year as The Godfather and Cabaret. His energy as the hard driving campaign manager drove most of the movie and fostered the impression that Robert Redford's candidate character is just a passenger in his own campaign.
You cam tell he was already dying and getting weaker with Multiple myeloma and his heart disease was starting to make him weaker and slower both physically mentally and his speech
A television legend. Plain and simple. He's also been in some of the best movies ever made.
Peter boyle we all miss very much
