I watched the entire show, but in England after the finale finishes (which I only watched first time round) the pilot begins - it just loops all the time. Having a break from it this time round. I have a lot of favourite episodes, all very funny, but some never hit the mark for me, for example the first 3 episodes of the Debra & Marie story whey the fall out - so when they come round I just watch the 4th episode "The Cult" All in all though a very funny show.

The best thing about the show and the bloopers is seeing the comedy actors (who actually understand comedy and that's why they are in a comedy show, which is mega rare these days) come up with they own alternative lines. The whole show's bloopers is just that being shown. This is what makes this one of the best sitcoms and blooper reels in history. It's never good writing or good comedy. It will always depend if you hired a comedian actor or just a lame ass actor who will charge more because they are pretty. Comedy is for comedians. Writers used to be comedians, now it's just people who think they are funny because their fans type "haha" in their comments. Comedy is dead ever since the industry started forcing creators to have a quota of groups to reach. A writers table today is a freakshow with grannies, trannies and women trying to force social justice into comedy and you are forbidden to refuse or compromise. You can't name 3 decent american comedy tv show from the last 15 years that aren't trash. They may all have the same or more audience numbers, but actual comedy writing and acting has been dead since the start of FRIENDS. How I Met Your Mother tried to save the comedy but the unfunny kids became a big number and the statistics morons decided it's funny.

Amy’s Mother “Pat” was the best character ever. Georgia is a comic genius the way she put on that voice and that whole persona. It brought a great deal of humour to the show. It was getting stale just with Frank and Marie and needed other in-law characters to breathe new life into the storylines. If Seinfeld was the show about nothing then ELR was the show about in-laws ( Marie and Frank, Debra’s parents, Amy’s parents and freaky brother) - so many crazy in-laws interfering or just coming and going out of Ray and Debra’s house. That’s where the central conceit in the comedy was. Ray just was never left alone.
