I always go through these fazes where i thank about trimming it. I think I'm a year in. The feeling always comes at night. I think it has something to do with the color shirt im wearing and the lighting in the room. My beard seems to be a mixture of colors. Oh and having the right barber helped me. Moved a few years ago and it has been madness. Told a barber to cut any hair that he saw was random. Went right down the middle. No one is permitted to trim my beard now.
I think you rocked the Beard the whole time Buddy. I like the bigger full beard look best, but you say it's just not what your wanting which is cool. Thanks for sharing the looks Bro!~John
I really like the look at 7min. I’m just about at 6 months of growth. This channel is very cool. Lots of great ideas on how to change your look and develop your own style. Thanks Eric!
Awesome insight. I don't know if I'll ever do a yeard, and I don't really feel like I'm missing out too much. I do keep growing longer and longer between trims, so we will see.
I hit terminal at only four months, but I totally get a lot of ideas for styling it and my hair. I've always preferred a medium length haircut but I think my two inch somewhat wispy beard can make a shorter buzz mullet hairstyle work! And it'll make my next tattoo that I'm getting look cooler. Cheers! Thanks for this content. Super useful.
Loved the mullet look with the 6 month beard together really strong look. I have a similar style beard but unfortunately I lack the awesome moustache it just won't grow thick like yours.
I like the looks from the waves and mullet to the 4 1/2 month beard power beard. Like the hair until buzz cut. Love the mullet on you. Really like the power beard
I work with food so I can't grow too crazy, however I have been letting my hair grow out and only hitting it with the guard to keep it under the max length. Right now I'm at about coming up to three months and will be getting a shaping cut here shortly.
Lucky man, I am also crossing the 1 month mark, and it's my first, looks awkward as hell, and i just want to snap my fingers, speed up time and wake up 2 months later.
Eric, it's very nice to experiment with different looks, I agree your 4-6 month beard suits you best. Love your mustache 👍🏼. This length I got after about 12/13 months... I think I go for another 6 weeks and then cut about 1-1.5" off. It's right now getting difficult to handle, just as yours.
Said it before, but the 5-6 month beard, 'power beard' is the best. As for which hairstyle, eh, don't really have a preference. Do think a pompadour with a mullet is a cool throwback look. I may even go for a mullet myself. LOL.
You obviously have great hair and beard! It’s really all about proportion, you look your best with a little more hair and a little less beard! It is understandable that you try different lengths and combinations and especially for keeping the Chanel updated and interesting! Looking forward to see the next chapter!
Totally agree with your sentiment. A lot of times my decisions for my style are on how I can make interesting content. It's not exactly what I preach (rock what you want to rock); but I enjoy sharing the journey with y'all even if it's not my preferred style.
How many times throughout the year did you have the urge to trim it all down? I always find myself growing my beard to prime length and then immediately prestige back to level 1 stubble.
Usually I don't get the itch until around the 8 month mark. A good trim actually helps me feel better about my beard and excited to keep on growing it. I should go into the barber now as I'm pretty annoyed with the beard and a trim might help me persevere until shave date.
I have been growing out my beard for over a year and only my goaty area shows significant length, the rest of my beard looks full to a certain extent except it looks like I have reached my terminal length on my side(cheeks) beard and the area between my chin and neck line, those parts seem to be stuck in a stubble, my goaty is like 6 inches now, I have noticed some beard breakage regardless of how well I take care of my beard and I thought maybe that could be the reason my sides and under chin area aren't growing out.
The title of the video is . I grew my beard for a year. Here's how it changed. But your saying your beard didn't change, your hair did. Little bit of bait and switch there.
I need help. I’ve been growing my beard for like 4 or 5 months and it doesn’t look anything like any of the ones on this channel. My mustache especially, it isn’t going straight up and down, it’s literally a mess with random hairs sticking out in every direction. Overall my beard and mustache just look very messy and it’s not really long enough to brush or comb to train it to be straight. What should I do?
Hey, man thanks for reaching out to us. Each beard is going to look and grow differently. You may think that your beard is to short to use a comb or a brush. However, a little bit of Styling Balm and a comb will do a-lot to tame your beard. Feel free to send us a message and we can talk in more detail on what is the best thing for you. -Mack
Beardbrand Alliance thanks. I’ll buy a brush and some balm today and see how it goes. Should I get a brush or a comb? The only combs I see have pretty spaced apart bristles so I feel like they wouldn’t work on my short hair. If I’m still struggling I’ll reach out.
4.5 month beard. And personally I think you look best with a buzz cut , tossled top. I am not anti mullet by any stretch of the imagination but I think your neck looks stronger without the hair on the back
His skull is kind of narrow near the top area (meaning at the height of his eyes untill the his the start of his hairline his head is a bit too thin). To make it more propertionate, it would help if he went for a hairstyle that was a bit wider in that exact area, again to give the impression the skull was wider there. These hairstyles where the top of his hair goes upwards but not sidewards at all do the opposite of that and actually make he head looking too tall and lower the perception of proportion. In a lot of cases the hairstyles that look good on people are simply the hairstyles that give the impression that the skullshape is the best. '
Hi Erick. Great video!!! I've been growing a Van Dyke, it's four months growth, but looks unexistant compared to your beard. Congratulations Odin!!! Hahaha.
Took myself 5 months to be able to tie my beard into a pony tail but I choose to chop all my beard of only cos I wasn't happy with cheek hair wich I was warned against years prior well young men seem to know everything lol or atleast think they do I am one of them lol
Theres no way its been a year. If so thard been really fast. Congrats. I love your short beard but you definetly need to keep the lonh beard. You started the main channel with a long beard so start this channel with a long beard. The only difference is you dont have long hair anymore.
Well, to be fair I did start this channel with a pretty long beard. I've got a few more videos while having the longer beard, then gonna cut it off and start fresh. :)
Viking look is OK, now it's the homeless. Probably the best look was either the maroon shirt w 3-4m beard. Or the Brooklyn longer viking look. Now grab a trimmer and take it down all same length 1.5-2".....see how it looks in multiple directions.....then all off.
Na, we gotta build this channel back up again, but it won't be long until we are getting similar views that we got on the bigger channel. The studio videos didn't perform well on the old channel anyways.
I'm 50 yrs old and like my long beard, I do think it might be time for a shorter look for a change but I'm afraid I may have the workings of a turkey waddle forming under this beard.....😹
You should shave your face completely clean-shaven (including no mustache). That would be a shocker...But of course, then grow the mustache and beard back.
This is the content we signed up for!
Your 6 months beard is amazing. Would love a beard like that.
Me too I can grow hair on my chin and lip but not the sides at all
@Baki Hanma he meant his butt lip beard man
4:10 best style in my opinion, it's balanced and coherent.. looks awesome !
I agree
Your 6 month beard is probably your best look. As always, thank you for being here Eric!

Nice to see the struggle I have been experiencing is normal. This video really motivates me to get out of my comfort zone and try out new styles .

I’m 6 months into my yeard now. Your video’s and Dan c bearded have guided me. I like your 9 month beard.
Hey man iv been following you for a while iv finally got my mustache as thick as yours it took 3 years i love it thanks eric .)

Happy to share and thanks for commenting. You should check my video on the power beard: ua-cam.com/video/JisYeDd8ak4/v-deo.html
The mullet was great! I liked the beard best in that 5-6 month spot. Thanks for sharing the journey man.
Awesome insight. I don't know if I'll ever do a yeard, and I don't really feel like I'm missing out too much. I do keep growing longer and longer between trims, so we will see.
Finally decided on a Yeard journey for 2023 to see how it goes for me too.
Should be interesting!

That Anne Bandholz lady seems like your biggest fan on Instagram!
Enjoyed your video !!
Yeah I've got a 6 1/2 month old beard now and I plan on going thru Christmas then I'll reevaluate. Pretty much diggin it now
Solid Yeard Eric!💪 Like you said we all got some good and some bad days! The key... keep on grooming!! Cheers brother👍

11:36 your 9 month beard is what I seek to achieve. I'm about an inch away from a viking badass look
I’ll be 5 months on Sunday, & I couldn’t be more happy with my beard.
Lucky man, I am also crossing the 1 month mark, and it's my first, looks awkward as hell, and i just want to snap my fingers, speed up time and wake up 2 months later.

I love the buzz cut with small amount of texture and 4.5 months of growth (beard brand t shirt).
What a heck of a journey. Looking forward to smooth faced Eric. I'm missing that mullet though. #GangGang
Gonna be something different; that's for sure.
Wavy beard with the mullet looked tight. Beardstache chevron next?
Loved em all!
The mullet looks good on you.
Eric, you need to do a video collab with Dan command !🔥🔥 the bearded world needs it
What did you do in Denmark? If I may ask..
6-8 month for me, just around the power beard stage. I've kept mine there for a while
4:29 is how you should keep your hair and beard.
Your 4-6 month is peak style
Great beard

3:37 That;s the beard you should rock. YOu should bring back that mullet as well.
Ya, I agree. That beard is dope.
You are going to start the mullet war again but it doesnt matter because Eric rocks it very well
@@Craig-rj4gx I agree. If he want's to rock it it's his hair.
Time to go for the tweard
Why the 2 channels? I'm subscribed to both. Just curious
No lie, that mullet was cool on you😎⚡
You should go for the tweard challange I did it years ago and boy it looks very diffrent from a yeard
RETROMANIA Toronto im going for Tweard for first time...im now Yeard month 15
Definitely not the beard for me.
I could only imagine how that'd look with the Mullet today! I kid, I kid.... Looks good
Nice beard, nice moustache, nice head of hair, nice set of blue eyes, nice voice...!
Why is my 15 month beard at the same length with your 4 month beard 😭
Vangelis Eminem genetic.
9:02 what the hell do you call this haircut, i want this so bad.
This seems more of a focus on ur head hair style rather than having a focus on ur beard
Ya, cause the beard style didn't really change; it just got longer.
@@EricBandholz True

Let the mustache!
8:03 my beard sticks out like that on each side, it's annoying. I've brushed it down but puffs back out again. How do I fix that? 👊
I'd apply some Styling Balm and then use a hair dryer or heated brush to brush it into shape. Then blast with a cold setting to lock it into place.
I got a question when was the last time you were completley shaven
Sometime in 2011. Been a looooong time.
Flat top /buzz cut with yard beard
Wow
You look like obi wan kenobi with your shorter beard
Hi Erick. Great video!!! I've been growing a Van Dyke, it's four months growth, but looks unexistant compared to your beard. Congratulations Odin!!! Hahaha.
i took a selfie.... of my self.. lol
Would you consider growing your hair back out long?
I might be in favor of it. It's so much work and I start to feel the same way about long hair as I do a long beard.
The wavy beard you rock good I’d go back to that but the mustache sets off your beard keep it longer
Keep the stache as is, then 1 1/2 to 2 " scruffy goat.
Jack Bauer
from 24 looking good lol
When I didn't have a beard, I always got a "young Kiefer Sutherland" doppelgänger reference.
@@EricBandholz I can definitely see that.

Don't do it, dude. I recently did it & regret it for that very reason. I'm growing it back as fast as I can.
So your barber helped morty escape prison 😉
Your best look, most attractive, in my opinion, is the hair in the garnet colored shirt with a 1 month beard. Buz cut is not for you.
Ya buzzcut isn't my favorite hairstyle but it's fun to do from time to time. Definitely growing my hair longer right now.
