Thank you Merritt!! Jedi Survivor looks incredible and I can tell so much care and time was spent crafting each of the environments-- hope we get to see more development art eventually. Kudos to your team and everyone at Respawn for a beautiful game!
Really hope the technical difficulties get sorted out so I can play again. Really enjoyed the story so much already and I look forward to doing a full run through with the graphics turned up this time! New Game + here I come, when you're ready though no rush. (:
Oh shit, Dev in the house! Thank YOU for the wonderful experiences you've given us with these games. Cal, along with his entire crew has quickly became some of my favorite and most beloved Star Wars characters. Wonderful all the way 'round.

Keep in mind that by Jedi Survivor, Cal is only 23 at most. Still so young, yet has gone through so much
I turned 23 exactly two weeks ago today.
And nearly every waking moment of my life is filled with the fear of my death.
I don't know what I'm doing; I don't know where I'm going; I don't know why I'm here; but there is absolutely no limitation to the things I would be willing to do if it meant staying alive one more day.

And that's the true failing of the Jedi Order right there. Cal doesn't know how to be anything more than a soldier because he was never taught how to be something more. He doesn't know how to find true, absolute peace within himself. He grew up in a war and he continues to live with that hyper vigilant mindset. Letting your guard down is, to him, death because it always has been. And so far it's kept him alive but it's also led him closer to the darkness.
This game was so good
It’s such a shame the game was a technical mess on pc and console (however on console it wasn’t nearly as terrible). It took up most of the conversation around this awesome game. It made improvements on every aspect from Fallen Order; combat, exploration, story, characters, graphics, music. I loved it!
@@bandanna2388Probably the deadlines respawn was supposed to comply with. Soon, though, I doubt it will be a technical mess. On console I actually have had few massive issues.
@regalsamyt1849 I never had a problem with the game when I played it at launch until the updates came in, never stopped getting glitches then, gonna replay it now again for like the 15th time now 😅
@@Dread3781 sorry, bad wording. What I meant was that I had little to no massive issues, only occasional framers drops and the likes
Cal is such a complex and interesting character - You show our complex his journey is so well ! beautiful job. Probably one of my fav character from the Star Wars universe !
What I love the most are the voices - how they are edited to match the inner struggle. LIke there is a period, when things go really dark, when those cold, agressive enemies' voices full of hatred almost take over, and Cal's voice and encouraging and loving voices of his friends are almost faded out. But at the end, the good voices prevail, still being encouraging, soft and loving (no agressivity, no shouting), everything to be concluded by the quote of Eno Cordova about the hope that survives... you know. This is brillliant. Just brilliant.
100% what I was going for. I love building these voiceover montages and arranging specific lines with new visuals to create an emotional arc. Super time consuming but always worth it. Thanks so much for commenting!
@@animated_jen I can only imagine. it must be very time consuming indeed. I tried only once to create a short, simple edit (no voiceover, nothing fancy), I gave up after three hours nowhere near the actual finished edit... :D (not mentioning that my creative vision was not that... elaborate ;) ) I would only repeat myself now, so just - really , great job :)

But, every Jedi faces the dark side. And Cal has faced it far too many times: sometimes from his enemies, other times from his friends and so-called friends. He has lost too much, and if he loses someone one more time… all hell breaks loose.
Yet, there’s still so much light in the young man. Keep going forward, chose your destiny, fight for whatever you think is right. And never, ever, let other’s define your path. Build something that will outlast the Empire, and live well.

You know it isn’t often that an edit will give me actual goosebumps these days but damn. . . This got me feeling all sorts of things. As usual this edit is so well crafted. All the timings are slowdowns and visual connections Add up to something that’s really tonally coherent and engaging, and that’s before you ramped up the intensity it about the two minute mark. Seriously though, the buildup and execution of that montage was just “chefs kiss”.

Holy shit! This was really really good! Amazing editing. You clearly love this game as much as I do, because all the scenes and lines you used are what make the writing in these games so incredible! I really hope that Cal is able to outlast the empire with all of his friends. If his story ends any other way, I’ll be devastated
