Otaru was a nice place near Sapporo. Good food and we did a boat trip to the blue cave which was a fun experience. Beautiful water up there. Have a good trip.
Yes, given the distances, one needs a car. For foreigners, driving is fraught with tough regulations/liability and, though experienced with driving on both sides of the road (India and the US), I didn't want to take the chance of rather hefty fines (say USD 1,000). I was thinking of going to the Tomita lavender fields but it doesn't open till June. The weather is surprisingly cold even in May (not to speak of in April) - take heavy coats. Going hot spring hopping would be the choice for this old man and I know you love it too. Drinking comes with it at your age and being with the business partner. PS: Hope you don't have a tendency to get seasick and tell us about the food on the ferry.
Indeed, you say. To drive in Japan is kind of tough thing for tourists from abroad. I'll share my travel situation with you later! Thanks for your nice informations!
I’m laughing at your laughing while showing us your room on the ferry Jake, I kept waiting for you to stop scrolling down past the luxury rooms. It’s better you show us all the options though, it’s just I wished better for you. 😊
Hope you have a nice trip :) Looking forward to your recap, I would like to visit Hokkaido when we're in Japan again.
Thank you! I will create a video that will make you want to visit Hokkaido.
