💫 I really like the idea of the star garland. It will go great with the Christmas theme. I do really enjoy seeing advent revealed as makes me regret not buying it 😂 but also makes me aware of the dyers style. But daily can be a little bit hard as can be a spoiler for someone in a very different time zone. Your jumper is so beautiful ❤️

Hi Helen, thank you for spending some time with me today while I work on the gusset of my latest sock. Love the idea of you making a small sample of your advent yarns this year and doing a reveal every few days. The idea of blocks also sounds wonderful. Although the blocks you shared were very, very pretty, I thought perhaps that their laciness might now show off the colors as well as they might. I don’t know, of course, how speckled/variegated your colors will be this year, but that would effect how the colors would show on those crocheted squares you showed. It’s a dilemma - but I’m sure you’ll work it out soon enough. Did love your star garland. I really need to learn to crochet beyond plain single or double crochet stitch. So much news in this episode. @@GiddyKnits yarntube sounds a good thing. I have been watching Flosstube for about 7 years now for those who cross stitch (some are knitters and readers too). But Yarntube would work for knit and crochet podcast/vloggers 😊. I am off to find Booktube now as didn’t realise that was a thing 😊

Hi Helen, I enjoy your episodes no matter what you discuss. You are usually keeping me company while I am on the treadmill, I have taught myself to knit while walking, it is still incredibly boring so I use my favorite podcasts as my carrot.... I save the best to keep me going while knitting and walking so I love when the podcast is at least an hour and can just lose myself in the knitting world and that hour just slips by... here is your 🌠 for this episode. But if there are no gnome emoji then what the heck is this thing 🧙♂️🤦♀️☺ that I left last week!

⭐️ You mentioned vending at Glasgow School of Yarn. Do you ever vend at the Scottish Yarn Festival? I didn't see you listed last year or this year 🙂
I vended for the last time in 2021, I think, but the timing of the show never seems to work out for me. We were away at a wedding last year, and this year, it clashes with the board game convention we go to as a family. I also find early September a tricky time to for a show as it's right in the middle of advent prep etc so I'm not sure whether it's one I can fit in to my schedule.

Hi Helen, I missed whether you are using 4ply or DK for your Tolsta Tee. I also have the Beehive Yarns Wednesday fade to use, in 4ply, and I was thinking of holding it double with some mohair to knit a Tolsta Tee or laceless Love Note. I think it would take me years to knit a 4ply jumper for myself. Anyway, I need to make a decision and cast on as I would love to have a jumper to wear in October/November!
I'm doing 4ply, but it would be fine with DK!
