I was big into simulators then had FSX, and a tonne of add-ons so I decided to give it a go ever since then I have been playing truck simulators. Now with SCS not releasing new versions of there games and sticking with ATS and ETS2 framework and just adding DLC upgrading the engine the GFX and the general feel of the game I am happy to support them. The community is good in this game modders SCS support for modders with tools to create mods and yeah other AAA companies say o Games as a service but real games as a service the true definition is SCS. SCS in my eyes shows the big AAA guys that game as a service appropriately done its win/win for everyone. Why I nominate and vote for them every Steam awards and buy all their stuff I would really hate to see this company go under. (:

Ahh.. My father owns 4 MAN trucks. 2 of them are semi's and 2 are 7.5 ton trucks. I drive them every time I come with him when he does local transports..
GTS has aged like wine for sure, its a good comparison and i would say that one big i notice is how different the 3d vegetation looks between the two games, considering GTS is what 10-12 y.o. the grass and trees looks pretty natural actually.
I think that in German truck simulator the entire environment is more 'more beautiful' because in Ets2 there are, for example, fewer trees, while in GTS the environment is more '' richer '' in trees, etc.
Premieres rub me the wrong way. Like, the video's already done, it's uploaded, you can see it in your subscriptions page, but it's just... not out because reasons.
with ETS there is nothing to compare with GTS, in the end it is a game from 2010 and ETS from 2012 is slightly different and besides, ETS is being improved
I like American trucks, map but when i drive in ets2 in east europe i really fell i driving and i need to pay atention on the road but i still enjoy to drive a big american truck to las vegas from big cannyon.
It is same, but some difference is American truck simulator have west coast of USA and now growing, Euro truck simulator2 have map of middle Europe, Scandinavia, France, Italy and now growing.
German Track simulator is my 1 game to shipping freight to the Germany, after this game, I play Euro Truck Simulator 2. And I will say, series of Truck Simulator is the best series in the world. I love all series Track simulator, especially i love German Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Ahh, the memories. The MAN TGX has been never changed since GTS except for minor improvements in ETS 2.

You need the ADR liquid licence in order to get the freights. Play for a while, get all the ADR licences and you will get that cargo. :)
