Eric I recommend trying to get something to help you with your time in the air. I’m sure your know most of the people who whip really nicely aren’t trying to whip EVERY jump ALL the time but over there years of experience it’s been something they’ve gotten used to and it’s makes the time in the air more comfortable. So try something like that.... give your bars a little turn or your pedals a little crank and you’ll be surprised how much more comfortable it makes you in the air. Anyway just a thought your doing great and I’m loving these videos!!🤟🤟
Funny you mention this... I don't even mountainbike but I noticed that they all do it and it seems similar to doing the most basic grab on a snowboard. It's much more controlled when you go for a certain motion, rather than going straight and praying.
I heard that sun peaks resort (in Kamloops) has great mountain biking trails. I’ve skied there and it was the best experience ever. I just thought you might like it since you live quite close ❤️
With the Magura’s , my guess would be air in the system, I had the same problem, then had a Magura dealer bleed them, and they work absolutely amazing now, they put my old shimano, sram, and trps to shame
Magura brakes are strong af, but bleeding is to much work in my opinion. Shimanos are Just so easy to bleed. And especially the magura mt5 have way to many plastic parts
Almost 3 years on the mt7 with the initial bleed and one for maintenance and they are the best brakes I've ever tried. I've installed about 7 sets for my friends and they also love them. The bleed process is very crucial for them working properly. You should push the pistons all the way in and proceed with the bleed following the manual, they are finicky to bleed properly and there is always air somewhere in the system but when you get all the air out they are awesome. The brake levers should never go all the way to the handlebar, something is no right. You should give them another try.
im moving back to oregon soon and im hoping that sometime soon after that ill be able to take a decent road trip up there. your videos are what showed me that i actually am way more into mtb than i had previously thought and even just having some not so great sidewalks in town has become so much fun now that im hitting them with more of a mtb headspace, i actually enjoy my bike to work now.
Dude so happy that you did that wooden step up. Your riding hasn’t been the same since you crashed on it, hopefully that helped your confidence and you will start riding like you did before the crash. Good job Eric and good video.
Hope to be back one day. Worked the lifts at the bike park back in 2014. Still the best summer season! My home country has some trails, but is very flat... Still having fun though.
OK, sorry to admit, since there was no injury, I LMAO last time you bear hugged the step up on Fade to Black, glad to see you conquered it this year. Great opening views, BC is such a fantastic place, so much wilderness and trails to see and ride.
I was in whistler two weeks ago, and the longest I had to wait was like 10 minutes. I'm used to very small lines, I cant imagine waiting like an hour for one lap.
Myself and another Dad had three grom's (11) up at the park last Monday. Party laps down Crank it up and C-More was amazing to watch! Can't wait to take them to Stone Starlet :)
Good job on the white whales. Someday I'll make my way up there. Seems like a lot of stuff outside of my skillset. Would be fun to see the progression in a trip.
show de rodas, muito bom o videio...espero poder estar em whistler no próximo ano... acompanho todos os seus vídeos e os da yuka.. estão de parabéns...
Great l Job man way to get redemption I am in new mexico and tommorow I am going to my first resort style bike park it is called angel fire bike park and maybe when the virus is over with and the borders open up you can go there i am from indiana in the states so I have no mountains to play on so I think it is going to be fun and with your channel and your perspective I get to see what it is like, thanks and dont worry I will be in Whistler soon
man sorry to hear about the brakes. I had the mt5 and they were more powerful than my xt8120. maybe its the pads or the bleed. if the mt5 were that good surely you would think the mt7 would be better. could be the bedding in process
Regarding Magura performance, you could try mixing the Magura calipers with Shimano levers, there's plenty of forum posts on it. Since Magura levers are kinda weak, changing them out for Shimano might improve your feelings on them. If you search for phrase 'Shigura' online you will find some tutorials as to which parts from whom to use to make it work properly.
yeah must be something wrong with the bleed in the Magura's. Mine are much more powerful than my Shimano's. Even was a Enduromag brake group test where they where stronger than anything else except trickstuff.
Hey Eric if u ever come to Australia 🇦🇺 come to Thredbo for the riding: I haven’t been there( nor any proper mountain bike park) but my mates have and it’s epic
Yuka’s crash video is now live! 💥

Thanks! They’re pretty fun to get!
Wow Yuka's crash looked no funl! Nice redemption on the step up/drop!
Hallo Laurin
I agree he did it no problem and also that crash looked gnarly
i agree too because that looked like very Hard Crash landing
Not at all! but I still survived another day😂😂😂
@@VanGirlYuka that’s good i mean i did think that a crash like that would kill someone
Stoked to see you ride on top of that step up landing instead of under!
Good times having pizza in that line.
My favourite shot in the video is you cheersing the pizza slice 😂
@@BCpov lol
@@BCpov this is the best video I have seen on youtube by far
I love how nick just dropped in and said “we are doing it!” The moment you said “your making me think too much” that’s a good riding buddy!

I was told by a coach to move my bike around so that it doesn’t move me.
In my experience snowboarding, I found it easier to spin over big jumps than to straight air for the same reasons, keeps you much more balanced
Funny you mention this... I don't even mountainbike but I noticed that they all do it and it seems similar to doing the most basic grab on a snowboard. It's much more controlled when you go for a certain motion, rather than going straight and praying.
My brother and I yelled with joy when you hit the step up!
Way to face your demons!
When ever theres a new BcPov video it feels like Christmas
True ma guy
💯💯💯
Whistmas you mean
First Awe. Then Excitement. Then Jealousy. I want to go to Whistler SO BAD!
It's awesome watching your progression and seeing how far you've come with that step up!

and the great work.
Just gonna say I was born in squamish, live in Whistler and work at rendezvous! Glad to see everyone is still enjoying BC
Yeah! Congrats!
With the Magura’s , my guess would be air in the system, I had the same problem, then had a Magura dealer bleed them, and they work absolutely amazing now, they put my old shimano, sram, and trps to shame
Indeed. They feel like twice as strong, hence the price. Huge mistake to swap them
@@jansmejkal8088 they are one of my partners for this year, I would have gotten them anyways, I love them
Magura brakes are strong af, but bleeding is to much work in my opinion. Shimanos are Just so easy to bleed.

@@0987zxcv0987 yeah, quick bleed is like 2mins with both
Yeah true, there's no way a Mt7 is less powerful than a xtr

Maybe it’s just fear as you get older but that was the first step up I ever did which was on fade to black.
Super weird experience there with the Maguras dude. I have MT5's and all pads allow be to stop completely on steeps.
No real experience with Maguras, but absolutely love my XTs. And this video is giving my park fever haha, Trestle doesn't open up until next week
