He talks at such a great pace and doesn't over-explain. Just watching him is the lesson however. I once saw him do an exhibition on Long Island when I was a teenager. He pocketed over 200 balls in a row and then just laid his cue on the table and walked away and thanked everybody and then he left.

4:01 to 4:04 are two different brakes the first time he broke the 8-ball shot down the table yet the next top angle camera shot shows no sign of the eight ball also notice the position of the cue ball

I wish we could see Willie play Efren Reyes. Different styles but Willie has slightly cleaner tighter shots and almost perfect positioning skills. Notice that he takes very little time to shoot and rarely has to agonize over a shot. I think Willie would beat Efren in one pocket and 8 ball. Efren would have a slight edge on 9 ball due to his style. This 2 guys are the greatest players that have ever lived and they didn't use any fancy equipment like gloves, LD shafts, carbon fiber cues. Efren played in world title matches with a $15 cue! Both of these guys also had/have great humility and tremendous respect for the game that is lost on many of the newer players who are in it just for the money.

Yeah when mosconi talked about pool in public he always called it Pocket Billiards when he took all of Minnesota Fats money he said it was a victory for pocket billiards over pool

Willie played in world championships with house cues before he could afford his own custom cue. And the competition Willie faced was insane. He was also mentored by Ralph Greenleaf who pushed Willie into becoming the best ever.

It can't be done , BUT, put todays champions back to the 30s,40s,50s when Willie, Irving, Jimmy and their peers were competing while working and raising families . Willie stood on top of the mountain against all comers .

As much as I'd like to believe Willie is the GOAT, I must admit, Efren Reyes is out of this world.
Heaven is where we get to watch them play.

I know 526 in 2 1/2 hours and had to quit cause he got tired lol dam . that table isnt as fast as tables now days but the pockets were not extremely wide and he hadn't missed a ball . I realize its straight pool but he didn't even have to concentrate on pocketing the balls ,,,,,,, did you notice his elbow not bending which is a hot topic in the pool stroke ?

This poor old guy is doing it all wrong,, he does not stand square to the shot, his head is crooked, his chin does not touch the cue stick, i think he could level out hot cue a lot more on most of the shots, some one teach this guy CTE, that's what he needs, a good aiming system.
