You turn the voices off in the settings. Just go to the customize voice prompt section and change it to notification sounds. If you did want to keep the voice, you can also adjust the volume of it through that section
I don't have them anymore since they actually stopped working (my 2nd pair). The store where I bought them told me that I was not the only person with this problem (some kind of software problem I believe) so that's interesting.

Mine did breake at the 6 month mark, great sound from the start, amazing after that.
