On the other hand it's so sad seeing them doing this in Switzerland, just because Italy is not capable to retain talents and is not the right platform to let innovation thrive...so unlucky.

It's fun and interesting to see an American reacting to Europe. Especially someone like Ash. To see his expectations confounded or confirmed. Anyone who has ever been in a small flying machine will know just how terrifying that helicopter ride must have been. I'm sure the pilot was very skilled, but I think Scott Manley summed up it up best when he described a helicopter as "100 points of failure brought together and made to fly" ...
Honestly this is one of the most intriguing, entertaining and original (content-wise) video I've seen in a long time. Kept me hooked throughout and left me with amazement. I've been thinking about moving from Germany to Switzerland for quite a few years now and I think this might have been the final nudge to make me actually try it. It is funny that we talk about Switzerland, but the minds behind the projects are all Italians. Unfortunately Italy does not offer the same opportunities, so the most of us move abroad.

3% error in a 100 million warehouse? He never work in a warehouse or exaggerated to sell the technology. Manager lose their jobs for that level of stock error.

I lived all my life in Switzerland. I must say that venture capital funding is very competitive and most of the times targeted to university researchers who wish to make it on the startup scene like on this documentary.
I spent much of my career life as an inventory control clerk / manager / supervisor.. oil and gas manufacturing steel production onshore offshore and in the field.
I’d like to get someone to do some more research on a particular subject. In the early 80’s in Israel, Haifa university, a professor studying crystals was able to make icosahedral crystals on a spinning cold plate. Thing is, according to current theory of crystal formation, each macro crystal is made up of smaller and smaller crystals that fit together. Sort of reverse fractal. Critics of the research suggested that it must be crystals suspended in a glass-like material. You can cut glass to almost any shape…but crystal shapes don’t spontaneously form. Yet these did. They call the regular crystal formation “tiling”…like floor tiles. The only way an icosahedral crystal forms, might be by rotating through higher dimensional space. That could be interesting by itself. But I’d like to know if the crystal could be trapped in three dimensions, then have a piezoelectric shock passed through it….see if another such crystal would resonate some distance away, without detectable signals at regular radio frequencies. The other thing: string theory (and i completely don’t understand) might suggest that the speed of light is only another direction in higher dimensional space….and I’d really like to see a “warp drive” developed that didn’t need very large amounts of energy to function, like the Alcubier drive postulates. So, can you get one of these mad scientist types to look into the matter? I suspect all that would happen is that the crystals would simply deconstruct…but hey, it might be interesting to try, no?
