All tech reviewers under estimate xiaomi 14 ultra and being ignorant to its performance. But professionals will know professional tech unlike many camera smartphones heavily relying on AI algorithms software. Xiaomi 14 ultra still has weaknesses but Xiaomi brand and with its strong R&D surely caught others off guard soon seeing how fast xiaomi developed its technology.
I had the 14 Ultra for a few days and was blown away by its photography capability. I really wished I could keep it by the price for it is still too high out of my reach. I'll check it out on the second hand market, only then I think the price is more reasonable and justified.
There are now reports of fogging within the lense coming through😢 really want this phone but hearing others horror stories with the 14 and knowing the ultra also seems to be going the same way makes me think otherwise

Are you for real? I ordered on AliExpress for 1400 and it comes with the Xiaomi pad 6, photography kit and free buds 5 pro & it's a global Version, the Hong Kong one is global ROM too? Chinese ROM cost 800-900 for 1Tb on AliExpress but I'm done with China ROMs
Thank god they improved the selfie , because the 13 ultra selfie camera is terrible. Love the cameras and everything. Just the software needs some work
I use the Xiaomi 14 Ultra now for several months, beside my iPhome 14 Pro Max. Photo quality is good but not better then the iPhone. The photography kit is excellent. Low light photo’s and video is better on the iPhone. Battery life (both main battery and photography kit battery) are mich worse then the iPhone. The battery drains in one day when not used and in battery save mode. Overall I stay with my iPhone.

Got it last week and its insane. Really love the camera. Especially portraits NOT in portrait mode only with those crazy telephoto lenses. The time has come that software bokeh isnt needed anymore. Did some crazy shots from my kids.

Hello, does the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Global version you tested have a 5300mAh battery? I ask this question because mine has a 5300mAh battery. And let me be clear, it's a Global version. While at the presentation of the official Xiaomi Global version, it was announced that the battery was 5000mAh for the Global version even on their official website it's 5000mAh. The Telephoto seriously need an improvement especially when recording video. When Nick faced down to put his glasses on his shirt the color balance is so off that the background turn so bright + Nick got brighten up a bit and when he faced back to the len the autofocus regconized him and the color is normal again not only that when switching between lenses the Telephoto is the worst when it comes to color + quality. Also, the HDR from the selfie camera when recording is...bad 😅
I want to ask about the Chinese version of the Xiaomi 14 ultra. Can I use cashless payments such as Suica (public transportation fees in Japan) or "Osaifu Keitai" (digital wallet)? If anyone answers this question I would find it very helpful. Thank you so much.

Fun fact the 13 Ultra is this but cheaper. Also in my country 14 Ultra costs about $1000. European pricing is such a bad luck. Better the Civi 4 Pro at this point.
Wow with such a big price and such a big upgrade I'm quite disappointed that there's no 200mp camera there. Being promoted as a camera phone first how could they leave this off? I use my 200mp camera on my red mi note 10 pro all the time!
The sony 1 inch sensor in this phone is exactly the reason it's being promoted as a camera phone, and variable aperture. Larger sensor means more light captured, and less noise in the photos compared to the smaller larger 200mp sensor..
I bought this phone and unfortunately it has a lot of things you don't know beforehand: 1) impossible to take photos at 50 mpx by default! You have to go to the photo menu every time, and in the "plus" tab choose 50 mpx. It's just nonsense! 2) You can't use the zoom lever on the professional kit if you choose the 'raw' photo format. This is really very disappointing for a camera of this price that claims to be "professional"!
