Hi I was e wondering if you can help me out with advice I have a 91 Harsco M932A2 truck with fuel issues. I was able to trace fuel coming all the way down into the fuel injector pump but not coming up into the injectors. Any ideas?
I added the Schrader valve to the cap and pressurized to about 10psi. Couldnt find a leak because pressure was venting to the stack. It wouldn't even pump higher than 10psi. Do you put shut off valves on the vent lines to hold the pressure?
No I don't but that is a perfectly sensible thing to do.
In all my experience a single application of pressure reveals the leak.
@@tacticalrepair Thanks for the quick reply. Didn't change out the giant filter yet, but did buy the filter housing you mentioned from Napa. As a test, I think I'm going to hook the Napa filter to the tank line and pt pump with clear lines to see if fuel is staying primed and bubble free. The beast seems to be starved for fuel! You mention the tank being 'overpressured' and exploding. What is a safe PSI to find leaks but not blow it up?
I wish these had in tank fuel pumps like the Deuces have.
Engine runs above 1200 rpms. Shut off below 1200 rpms. Linkage good. Any thoughts?
I'd start with two new fuel filters and a replacement overflow valve. Look your lines over for dryrot cracking.

@@garygeer7646 was it doing this last year? I always replace all fuel filters when I run into any kind of running problem. Algae can grow in a fuel system and plug filters pretty fast, as in a matter of just a couple weeks. Mileage doesn't matter when it comes to dry rotted fuel hoses and failing overflow valves. The overflow valves are famous for failure just sitting. Original ones have a spring and ball inside that are both bad about corroding and failing to hold fuel pressure.
A small air leak from a dryrot cracking fuel hose can also cause this. At low rpm the lift pump can't overcome the air leak, but at higher rpm it can.

@@garygeer7646 find the return line coming off the pump. The overflow valve is the banjo bolt that connects the hose to the pump. A new one from Torktech is like $35.

Brother help out here please… I didn't get why AM General put a sort of contacting shaft wheel similar to the wrecker front axle which operate the winch, at top of rear axle?

Sorry for the inconvenience. Not understandable question at all? I feel you buddy… I think as it’s described in the parts book، a "differential driven" which is mounted at the top of Front / rear axles. I couldn’t understand why there’s an extra output driveline to?
@@Second.Q the extra flages are there so the differential assembly can be placed into any axle housing in any position.
hey man fresh sub here ,do you have a used service/park brake assembly the previous owner took it off for some reason and now it's gone or he can't find it ,it is on a m35 all I have is the straight handle type handle and the outer shoe ,I can get it at big mikes but it's brand new and pricey ,it's cool if you can't love your vids and thanks
So you need cable, inner shoe, and a couple of springs?

I am trying to find more information about a crap hit the fan vehicle. Always wanted the multi-fuel deuce but I'm really interested in the 5 ton. Does the five ton also have a multi-fuel engine? And do you need a CDL for the five ton?
This model 5 ton is diesel/ kerosene/ jet fuel only. Some older body styles are multifuel but they are horribly underpowered. Those would be M39 ( M54) series trucks. CDL requirements depend entirely on your state laws.

That's a can of ether for the ether injection system. It's used for cold weather starting aid.
So is that why my M931A2 has a electric fuel pump to combat the air leaks?
Most probably. Also helps bleeding after fuel filter changes.
dude I wanna get one so bad what are the best years for the only problem generally being fuel lines and filters
1991 and up generally. Just make sure you get the one with the 8.3L turbocharged engine.
