I'm getting emotional when Tsuchiya san, Orido san and Taniguchi san say that they will each buy a S16 if Nissan makes one. "Show us your determination as an auto maker Nissan" there's tear coming out of my eyes. God I miss that era when sports cars are easily accessible and just so much fun to drive. I can't imagine kids growing up with electric cars and couldn't enjoy the response of NA engines or the cool noises turbo makes. I can really feel the passion from these 3 great racers and it really touches the bottom of my heart watching this video (as a S13 owner). Hope the channel gain more subscribers and Tsuchiya san, Orido san, and Taniguchi san all have a great day!

I met Tsuchiya san at Nismo festival a few years ago. He had been a presenter/driver that day. I missed the autograph signing but as he was being hurried off he stopped and in his own time, took some pictures with me and signed my book. It was one of the happiest days in my life. The man's dedication to his love of cars and his fans is admirable.
I have great admiration for Mr. Tsuchiya’s love for cars and his profession. His comment on hoping younger generations having fun once gasoline cars disappear was really touching.
The old Option and Hot Version VHS tapes are why I got into cars. I never went pro like these three idols, but it’s been a lifelong hobby. Thank you all very much.
Yeah, simple flat horizontal lines really make the car look low and wide. even with stock wheels and suspension. Also the two tone paint schemes are lit. especially if the car has aftermarket wheels that match the bottom color.
I am S15 owner. I really love this video and all 3 hosts. It makes me a little sad and nostalgic when I hear them talking so fondly about the old times. My heart will always be in the 80s and 90s
I have a turbo KA S13 240SX. Bought it 15 years ago. No rust, been sitting in my garage for 7-8 years now. Life changes, buying a house, career advancements and etc. But god damn it, I will rebuild the motor in it and get it back on the road. It was the car I daily drove in college to parties. The car I street raced at night, when it didn't matter. The car I learned driving dynamics. It's getting rare to see these on the road not battered or modified beyond a street car. Now I'm driving a Focus RS as a daily. Amazing car as well, but I know one day, I'll get it running again because I miss the raw driving dynamics.
I’m so grateful for these videos and having them with English subtitles. These guys are my heroes and I have been watching them for many years. I truly enjoy these vintage videos where you can learn more about them, I had no idea the S13 was so important for Mr. Tsuchiya and the S14 for Mr. Orido. I can feel the nostalgia, I would have loved to live in japan in the 80s and 90s!
This made me slowly realise, these 3 are like the Japanese Top Gear for me. I know it all along in the back of my head, but hearing them banter like this really sparked my plug Biggest respect to them
Love to see all of them have a strong spirit with the car.I miss the old days when all the Japanese manufacturer could make various of sports car.Hope they will make sports car again for this modern days.❤️
Been watching these legends doing touge battles and drifting back in my teenage days.. that was the golden era of driving for sure. I'm just so glad to see them still being energetic and passionate about cars, can't stop smiling when watching their videos. Much appreciated for the translation. 誠にありがとうございます.
The S14 still looks modern. They are correct, that was the golden age of cars, so many amazing iconic cars came from this generation. This video was oddly emotional.
I really misses these 3 legends to see them again together and in such a relaxed and nostalgic time. I really hope to see them more together and to ride more ofthen together. Good new year for everyone on the team and all of the fans❤
I've recently started falling in love with all these silvias mentioned in the video and I cant wait to own one or all of them one day. They really did leave a mark in history. beautiful cars.
My first car was an 180SX with CA18DET, wich help me learnt about driving, mechanics and drifting. Soon later I swapped an straight cam SR20DET. Some years later I finally upgraded to S15, my favourite japanese sport car. I can say the difference is huge, and what the S13 was lacking, the S15 greatly shines. It literally feels like a high end sport car, like Tsuchiya said. Sports driving and drifting is fast and techinical, making it a serious track weapon with just a few chassis and engine modifications. I know I will never step away from S15 ownership, a car that stole my heart.
Tsuchiya himself is the reason these cars are so expensive now lol, him and initial D made these cars so popular everyone wants one, the man made these normal japanese cars into legends.
Thank you so much for translating these videos! Maybe I'm bias due to growing up in the 90s, but this era of JDM cars produced some of the best affordable, reliable and most importantly fun driver focused autos
This some good stuff! Orido-san and Tanaguchi-san really have a alot of respect for Tsuchiya-san! Its great hearing them reminisce about how they got into cars and how much they loved those! Beautiful driving machines and also how much Tsuchiya-san infulenced them both! Great episode!🙏🤝🤜🤛✌DRIVING LEGENDS! 🇯🇵
I had S13 & S15 before. Especially S13, not just my first car, learned drift from it, experienced the fun of "RWD", and went from CA18DE to SR20DET. Not just my memories but my YOUTH.
the little CarPrime cuts and touch of music was a great little edit into this video well done to the video editor and of cause the man that makes it all possible to watch with English subtitles .... thank you as always ..... from a lonely S15 night moutain road driver from Tochigi ..... this was a perfect video without the mention of Okachan LOL - however i did catch the Yashio Factory temp meter in the S15 LOL
Ever since I was old enough to drive, fast Nissans (mostly S chassis) have been my favourite. It was my get to work car, date car, track car, project car all in one. It's true they don't make them like this anymore, the feeling getting behind the wheel is electric.
I love my s15 but I haven't driven it for a while. So it's great to hear that Taniguchi is still driving his Silvias even though I'm sure he also owns much more expensive vehicles as well. Love these youtube videos from CARPRIME, keep up the great work!
Did you see the Mercedes at the end of the video when they were coming back into the parking lot with the S-15? I'm wondering if that's his car because he does drive for Mercedes in Super GT.
Why is the BGM on this video so sad, it makes me think that these 3 legends will leave in this world one day and I'm glad that i was born in the exact generation
I remember an imported Playstation game named Tokyo Highway Battle and DK was in the opening video drifting a white Silvia. That was the first time I saw him in action. What a great memory. Love these cars and wish we had access to them back in the 90s. Great cars and awesome vid!
Thank you for Silvia episode. Was a great insight to the drivers history and experience with the S Chassis. Would love to see a street and race tuning guide for these cars in the future.
I had a super black 97 kouki S14 SE. My mom bought it for me at Universal City Nissan in 2000. It was $17k with 24kmiles. I drove hard every weekend, bouncing off the rev limiter every now and then up in special mountain roads. I also drove her daily everywhere. I can't explain how she felt alive. I'm positive that she saved my life several times! One occasion was when I understeered into a sharp turn. This part of the mountain already had the guard rail missing as someone the weekend before hit it and went over the side. They didn't survive. As I understeered toward the edge, I froze in terror. I knew i was going to die. Suddenly, the steering wheel jerked back and forth, and I felt her go sideways. At this point, I knew I was already falling to my death. My eyes were already closed from the start of understeer. It was silent as I waited for impact. After a couple of seconds, I hear cars racing by! I open my eyes, scambe out, and crawl on the floor! As I stood up, I ran to Silvia to see that I was about 1 foot from the edge! I stare over the cliff for a bit, then Silvia turns on again as if to say "let's go home." I drove home in an hour of complete eerieness and awe. Didn't even turn on the radio.
They have spoken the three monster that created history with the Japanese monster cars “ NISSAN are you listening” please make sport cars again an the other great manufacturer please.
Taniguchi-san is the tallest but he had to ride in the backseat twice 🤣 love this video, such a treat to hear the Silvia story from the legends who popularized it worldwide :)
What an awesome show, something different, it was so cool to see these absolute legends get nostalgic over these cars, I've had two s13s and it made me nostalgic too! Sounds like there's more coming which I'm looking forward to. MR2 next please!
I love S13, both (Silvia, 180sx).I have owned 200sx for 8 years. It's the best car I've ever driven. And I've tried many BMW M5, M4, M3, M2, 1M. GTR R35 nismo. Porsche GT3 RS, Ferrari F12, etc. But my favorite is S13 😍

Thank you for the english subtitles, Listening to them exchanging their stories and experiences is really moving❤, Loved the option magazines as a kid and grew up around vehicles most my life, That s13 is beautiful😍 btw, and their right about prices overseas, prices are almost x2 to 3x the price of what a clean example would have gone for 3 to 4years ago and alot more beat than most here in new zealand, makes it almost difficult to get your hands on one🙄...
Thanks for this video. I own an s13 with the ca18det, and just bought a s14 1996 model. I love these cars, and hope to keep them running for future generations too.

I always watch them together in Hot Version, but i agree with what Taniguchi said at the end....this was the first time when they all just had a relaxing chat and talked about old times and drove together in a car....very cool! I hope they come together again in the future =)
Please Nissan, if you do release the S16, keep it light weight small and compact, give it a VVL head from factory, integrated girdle and main caps, big Brembos and nice Recaros to sit in from factory.
I'm from SE Asia., My regret was we don't have Silvia S13 except 180sx S14 & S15., Personally i prefer 180sx for style but then again Silvia S13 is rare so trade rare vs style i would go with Silvia S13 🙈

This is outstanding thank you, i owned a 1991 Eunos and used and abused it and bought a 1991 PS13 Silvia a few years ago before they went up and they are 100% correct on everything here
52:15 This is the first time that we’re all in one car and driving in a relaxed atmosphere”. Was I hearing some deep emotions in NOB Taniguchi’s voice? Anyway this video made me feel like part of the family
I would buy an s16 Silvia for sure. Please Nissan, show the world what you are capable of and reinvigorate a new generation for sport car drivers. Not that long ago you did it with the introduction of the g35 l, it's time to do it again with the Silvia name plate.

i like how orido and Taniguchi said they bought silvia because admire DK
S13 looks menacing with a minimalistic design. My favourite of the Silvias
And that two-tone paint👌🏽
100% one of the best car shapes to come out of Japan with the c33 and jzx81
Yeah, simple flat horizontal lines really make the car look low and wide. even with stock wheels and suspension. Also the two tone paint schemes are lit. especially if the car has aftermarket wheels that match the bottom color.
Same
Same, the shape is simple but both aggressive and feminine. I prefer S13 coupes over hatches.

loving this kind of content, esp when they just talk about the cars and share stories etc. hope to see much more :)
best episode so far! Thank you!
Awesome Video
S14 kouki all day
Those two tones still look amazing all these years later. I also think that the the narrowness of the S13 is why I am so drawn to the CL1.
love all three of these dudes, grew up with them... buying best motoring DVDs from tower records in the 90s.
i love to see 3 of you again in carprime in near future....from Malaysia

PLEASE A NEW GENERATION OF SPORT CARS
I love Silvias. Hopefully a representative at Nissan watches this video and convinces them to make a S16!
They have spoken the three monster that created history with the Japanese monster cars “ NISSAN are you listening” please make sport cars again an the other great manufacturer please.
damn that view though!
Finally!!
imported me a Silvia PS13 from Japan to Germany, I love this old lady so much and will take care of her for the rest of my life
Love the view of Mt.Fuji and JDM cars + Drift King.
That S13 does look damn good, but I'm leaning towards the pre-facelifted S14.
navan aero on zenki s14 is my favorite
NOB seems like a very sentimental guy 😂
maybe cuz hes the most handsome lol
This was simply amazing thank you for this. As an s14 owner myself i felt very pleased. This was a delight. Hope you guys do the z33,z34,z35 next!
Better than Top Gear

Informative video. Very interesting and also emotional
Such a wholesome episode. There's more untold history in this episode than any Hot Version, Video Option, and Best Motoring video combined.
Love the Zenki

Episode I've been waiting for since I saw Japanese release. I drove an Euro S13 with CA18 in college. Tuned it to about 300hp and got really really good at changing head gaskets haha. Parts were not that expensive back then, so it was a good car to learn basics of tuning. Unfortunately it got stolen and found totalled. I ended up importing an S15 from Japan 8 years ago and been loving it ever since. Even in stock it was a great little car to drive but it came even better with little power boost (to about 280hp), strut braces and suspension kit. I dont drift nor race regularly anymore, I just take her to winding back roads, roll down windows just a bit, shift down a gear or two, push the accelerator and enjoy feeling and sounds. That is the feel of my youth. S-chassis has been with me most of my adult life and S15 is something I would never get rid of. This is so amazing to hear them look back together on the fun times. LOVE THE CONTENT
my love 🥰 goes to S15 ⚡️
Great content - thank you so much for providing english translations!
We are so blessed to witness this. Thank you car prime!
Soooooo great thanks for this.

The S-chassis will never die. It’s been a very iconic chassis all over the world. Still a relevant chassis in 2022.
It’s crazy how the front ends match each designated driver’s
