Mealybugs definitely suck lol. Really the only thing that can deal with them is a systemic pesticide, something the plant can take up and will be toxic to anything that feeds on it. Hopefully your Thelocactus will be ok. Thank you for sharing with us, Henry. Have a wonderful day and week from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🏜👍🏻
Thanks for watching and commenting Daz, I might get my hands on some systemic pesticides to keep the critters under control, my only concern is that they would poison the bees feeding on the flowers so I'll look in to it. Wishing you and Edith a fantastic month! 🌵🌸☀️😊
@@World_of_Cacti As long as it’s not mealybugs 😂 But thank you, that would be nice. Send me an email or DM on Instagram when the time comes and I’ll give you my address 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
I've seen a video of a pretty alternative technique to take care of root mealys and it was the only thing that worked for this person They did a hot mix of horticultural soap and and cigar. Overnight once water was cool added some Isopropyl alcohol... I believe they either soaked it few times with days I bettween or cleared the plant of soil and soaked for a minute or something.. Actually if ur interested in having this in your tool kit like I. I'll send u the video :)
Your not alone in your battle with mealy bugs! Thanks for sharing!
Good luck with the battle of mealy bugs 👍🏻🌵🙂 that Thelocatus is very nice, a large size too, great spines, I wish it well so it can flower again.
Thank you for watching and commenting, have a great week. ☀️🌸🌵😊
