- In this video, Chuck teaches us how to make a simple leather waist apron that's perfect for leatherworkers! This project is a great alternative to a typical full-length apron, and it can be customized to fit your needs. Chuck added two pockets for essential tools and rustic leather lacing!

Chuck should be considered a national treasure and deserves to be on the cover of Time.
Another beautiful leather project I never knew I needed (until now!). Thanks Chuck!
love that chuck swagger at the end!❤
Great video Chuck, 👍 explained and demonstrated perfectly. Sure wish you were closer to eastern Pennsylvania.
That apron is beautiful.👍😁
Chuck, nice project and nice video as usual. I made the full length apron when I first started leather craft. I see I’m going have to re- think the apron and make this one. I like the short apron with a lot more movement and much more comfort. To think I was going to remake the long apron in a thinner oz to gain more comfort. Best regards, Richard
Very nice Chuck! Another great project to keep in the back of my mind! ( It's pretty crowded there!)
Very very good 👍😊
Love it 🤩
Love you all 💖😘
Love this! Thanks!
And a very very good place there is some very good people
❤ How come you didn't use a handheld lace maker? Cool project. Thank you.
Good, very good, дуже файно вийшло👍
Very nice
Thanks for the video
I just got my 303 afew days ago. Im trying to find the best tension to use on canvas for practicing. Does it have to be changed every time you sew a different fabric or leather? Any thing you do with or about the machine would be a great help❤ thanks so much for all the videos and help. I love your channel and my new machine 👍
I’ve sewn elastic onto cloth and two 8oz back to back.
If the thickness varies from project to project or from material to material, you may have to adjust the tension. It's always to good to sew a few stitches on scrap before you actually start on the project just to make sure the tension is correct. Hope that helps!
Is it better to set the tension for leathers and just practice on that to start. Instead of trying on canvas first ?
It's best to practice on the cheapest materials that you're going to be working with. No need to waste money on practice.
@maddawgnoll thats what i was thinking. The leathers i got are super nice. I raised the machine a bit higher an its alot easier to control now. I think I'm figuring it out pretty well. It does help that people are really nice with help an questions👍 keeps it fun🤗
