This really touched me , it was one of my wife's Favorite songs , I lost her to cancer 10 years ago after 26 years of marriage and we played Tears for Fears at her funeral 💔
May God give you peace and may the memories of her give you the strength to carry on. I've been married for 40 years and my wife has smoked cigarettes since before I met her and I know my time if sorrow will follow.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have met others who have told me that this song gave them solace and wonderful memories of their true loves. Hopefully hearing this song reminds you of the great love you both shared. I know that my Anna is looking down on me, and I am sure that your wife is with you each and every day. This song means so much to so many people, and we were both lucky to have been able to share this beautiful song with the people we love.
Those captions were so off 😂 One of my favorite bands and songs of all time. They found Oleta Adams singing in a hotel lobby and made her part of their band. Thomas - thank you for your service, and I am so sorry for your loss.
"Those captions were so off" Yeah, I was laughing at them it was so bad! Absolutely fantastic song though, the decision to have her lead off the tour playing "I believe" solo on the piano was spot on! Oleta has a powerful voice!
I’m 54 and this was my all time favorite song. It’s an engineering masterpiece that truly grabs at every emotion throughout the song. For its time it will never be beaten, for me anyway.
Went to high school with Oleta in Yakima, WA where everyone knew she was a one of a kind talent. The high school musical “Hello Dolly” where Oleta played the lead, sold out all three nights, 1,500 people each night. Her HS music teacher quit her job to become Oleta’s manager. Her three mid-90’s solo albums are amazing.
I apologise to tears for fears for not even listening to them in the 80s,iam now in my early 60s and this has to be one of the most beautiful and powerful songs of not only 80s but the century. Great reaction x
@taoist32 true but it's not often we get another chance to discover something for the first time. So iam loving listening to absolutely alsorts that I missed.I even had a record shop in the 80s and 90% of my stock was stuff I wouldn't listen to but they sold etc,I was even advised by one of my suppliers not to be tempted to stock your own taste.
@@zigman63 Well, it’s cool. You had a record store I would have visited! I’m 50, and it’s mind boggling how many bands and musicians came out in the 80’s. I missed out on a lot too.
Reading the story, connecting with others and not interrupting the song 9as a mark of respect)...I'd say that is a very classy move. My condolences to all involved .
My wife and I has seen Tears for Fears a few times but never heard them perform this wonderful song. One of my personal favorites, such a awesome song.
Fantastic song. Saw Tears For Fears in 2022. I went with no expectations, but was absolutely blown away by their performance. This song is beautiful live. They had an Irish based female singer doing the accompaniment and she was just as good.
If there's ever a story of not giving up ..Oleta Adams was singing in a hotel Bar when Roland and Kurt came in after a gig and heard her sing and gave her the vocals on this track ..and she went on to have her own career
Roland is a excellent songwriter and a ranger and producer his music with Tears for Fears is unrelentingly awesome they have such good songs and unique sound.. of course they're not hard rock but have great tunes.. I had also read that Roland had found Oleta Adams in a hotel Piano Bar playing and singing so he asks her to sing on his next record.. her voice is beautiful and offsets his
Show why Tears for Fears is a band you have to pay attention to! They actually wrote their songs from deep psychological places throughout their entire career!
Temazo!, el que todo esta bien. Terriblemente buena producciòn con infinidad de detalles en los arreglos. Y excelentemente grabado. Què màs se pùede pedir?
knockout song, full of feels... my friend of 40 years is fading, going soon and I will so miss her. Hers will not be an easy passage and I don't know what to do
Yes and no. Phil did play drums but only from the 3:32 mark to the end of the song. From the start to 3:32 was drummer Manu Katche. He's played with Sting and Peter Gabriel , a well respected drummer in his own right.
This song has a very sad background. Roland's mum worked in a night club and his dad was her manager. If his dad found out that his mum had flirted with the customers ( which she sometimes did to get tips) he would beat her when she got home. Roland said that he thought of his mum when writing this song
Such a great song and had never heard it before. Def brought a tear to these old ass eyes of mine. Thank you guys for all of the outstanding reactions. Take care.
Masterpiece from a masterpiece of an album. Tff never missed. Here a gorgeous introduction song to Sowing the seeds of love. Phil Collins plays from the drum break to the end. Manu Katché played the rest. Oleta Adams has such awesome range of voice.
I miss all of the 1980s, it was the era of my teenage years. TFF was one of the iconic electronic rock bands of that time that made it big. But much like me, TFF has also aged, they dont look like that anymore either, heh. 06/23/24
This song was so pogient back in the 70 s and 80 s. Many women and men as well, around society had to make hard choices that they never wanted in life only to survive. Who wants to be a stripper, or a sex trade worker. Who wants to be a bunching bag as a boxer. Who gets the worst end of the stick? A women in chains. A woman who has to make the most of what she has to survive in. Very sad when you think about it. Canadian Grandma Lori. C.
I feel like these guys have always been a little under rated. They have incredible voices in all their songs but this one is amazing and Oleta Adams just adds the cherry on top....her voice is gorgeous. Sorry to hear the story of Thomas x
She shouldn't have broken up with him, just because he lost that "angel" look in his eyes. That seems shallow and immature. Clearly she had some growing up to do, but it was in the wrong direction. I don't know. I have mixed feelings about this. In the first place, he should have gotten pissed at her for that sort of conditional "love" or whatever it was she felt for him. It might have saved her ultimately. Who knows. And she should have looked closely at what he'd gone through. Instead she breaks it off. Like I said, mixed feelings. Excellent song tho. TFF are really one of the best the 80s had to offer.
This is not just a song, it’s a musical masterpiece
I went to High School with Oleta . She was that one person that stood out, her musical talent was outstanding. I knew she would make it.
This really touched me , it was one of my wife's Favorite songs , I lost her to cancer 10 years ago after 26 years of marriage and we played Tears for Fears at her funeral 💔
Ou.. so sorry for your lost. But belive.. she is with you. Always

Very sorry to hear that.
A beautiful song for a beautiful lady. Sweet dreams . Sorry for your loss. She'll always be in your ❤️.

God, I love Roland's falsetto.
One of the greatest songs of all time.
I agree 👍
Roland and Curt from TFF found Oleta Adams singing in a lounge in a hotel and couldn't believe how incredible her voice was
I’m 54 and this was my all time favorite song. It’s an engineering masterpiece that truly grabs at every emotion throughout the song. For its time it will never be beaten, for me anyway.
Excellent song. Excellent band. Excellent album❤
Excellent message

Delicate, powerful, touching and beautiful. One of the best pieces of music ever recorded.
I apologise to tears for fears for not even listening to them in the 80s,iam now in my early 60s and this has to be one of the most beautiful and powerful songs of not only 80s but the century.
Great reaction x
Wow, you missed a whole bunch.

Check out their Beatlesesque album called "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending". A lot of people missed that one. I believe it was 2003 or 2004.
Reading the story, connecting with others and not interrupting the song 9as a mark of respect)...I'd say that is a very classy move. My condolences to all involved .
Went to see tears for fears in Liverpool last year , and they still sound as good today as then fantastic band.
One of my favorite songs of all time.
Roland, Curt and Oleta! Perfection.
And Phill Collins in drums
One of my favorite songs ever...
My wife and I has seen Tears for Fears a few times but never heard them perform this wonderful song. One of my personal favorites, such a awesome song.
My absolute favorite TFF song and one of my favorites songs (by any artist) of all time! I get the feels every time I hear it.
Orzabal and Smith reunited after many years, and released "The Tipping Point". Caught them on tour. They were really good.
One of the reasons you'd want to live forever... ❤
A truly sublime masterpiece. Only TFF could have written this little gift.
Love this song more each time I hear it 🎶🎵💚
Fantastic song. Saw Tears For Fears in 2022. I went with no expectations, but was absolutely blown away by their performance. This song is beautiful live. They had an Irish based female singer doing the accompaniment and she was just as good.

You two have great hearts and a great deal of respect….part of why you have so many followers who love you.
Been on my favourites playlist forever ❤🎶

Definitely the most underrated band of their era ❤
Yup. Easily.
haha! never ever underrated. 😂
And this one of their most under rated songs. It's just amazing
Underrated. What are you talking about. They were and are very much rated.
Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal, a duo from Bath, England, produced some of the very best pop of the Eighties.
Makes me cry every time ,great song lots of love from Darlington uk x
This is one of the best songs ever written! Thanks for posting it ❤
check out Oleta singing Get here, amazing. TFF are a class Act.
Great song from a great album !
She gives me goosebumps❤❤❤🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
One of my favourites!! 🎶🎤💜
Show why Tears for Fears is a band you have to pay attention to! They actually wrote their songs from deep psychological places throughout their entire career!
i had the biggest crush on the main guy singing. his voice is just beautiful and so is hers.
Hers will not be an easy passage and I don't know what to do
The closed captioning might be the worst I have ever seen on a UA-cam video...lol. Great song and reaction!
Such a great collaboration, the song is so deep and impactful, it can be a hard sad listen .
Fun fact, Phil Collins played drums on the studios cut
Yes and no. Phil did play drums but only from the 3:32 mark to the end of the song. From the start to 3:32 was drummer Manu Katche. He's played with Sting and Peter Gabriel , a well respected drummer in his own right.
Great song, great reaction and song dedication! God bless!
TFF, grandiosos 👏👏
the Drummer is just Mr Phil Collins!!! Portions of the studio cut feature Phil Collins on drums. This song is a MASTERPIECE!!
simply one of the best songs ever
Great Reaction to a wonderful song.

This content is exactly what I needed. Keep up the great work!
oh the 80s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roland has a fab voice
An amazing song and one of my favourites. Check out Oleta Adams as a solo artist.
Uau uau uau.. i adore women in change. Thankju
Tears for fears, sewing the seeds of love is one to check out
Roland Orzabal might have the best, most distinctive male vocal ever.
Masterpiece from a masterpiece of an album. Tff never missed.
Here a gorgeous introduction song to Sowing the seeds of love. Phil Collins plays from the drum break to the end. Manu Katché played the rest. Oleta Adams has such awesome range of voice.
That text though, LOL!
Beautiful 💜
My favourite UA-cam reactioners IE genuine reactions. Love the mix of music as well. Hopefully more big hair rock to come 🤘😎
The group got socially conscious on "The Seeds of Love".
Uma grande banda amo 😊❤

the two lads fell out back in the day, but back together and still going strong today ! Beautiful words from you guys btw.
Superb song - which is more than can be said for those captions :p
The Seeds of Love (1989)
This song was so pogient back in the 70 s and 80 s. Many women and men as well, around society had to make hard choices that they never wanted in life only to survive. My favorite song's from Tears for Fears are Mad World (this song is also my ring tone on my phone)and Change!
I feel like these guys have always been a little under rated. They have incredible voices in all their songs but this one is amazing and Oleta Adams just adds the cherry on top....her voice is gorgeous. Sorry to hear the story of Thomas x
Listen The Tipping Point from their last album.
Phil Collins played the drums in the studio!
Great captions. 🙂

I love to b european cause you can experiment many languages, sensation

Phil Collins played drums on this track . . .
Cool reaction to Lock Shields today. I really dug that.
Great song, great reaction, poor lyric captions. What were they listening to?
❤❤❤❤
Please please please play Tears for Fears Sowing the seeds of love video Please 🙏
You couldnt make a song like this today. Its too funny.
What’s funny about it knobhead?
Badman's Song next . . . . . please 🙂
did a lip reader do the captions?
Great song, great production. Although not in the video much of the drumming is by Phil Collins. (guess his schedule wouldn't allow filming)
Yeah, music and memories. 80s ....sorry kids today, you missed it.
Please please please play Tears for Fears- Sowing the seeds of love video Please Guys I would truly appreciate it 💜
You should listen to Badmans song by TFF = EPIC
Not sure if you've done it already, but have a listen to Leann Rimes Spaceship. Heartbreaking
Is this the worst closed caption interpretation ever?!"
It's unbearable 🤣
it sense makes at all no,
Mr. Phil Collins on the drums!
Vocês nunca ouviram essa música?! Ah para! 😅
How before you realised PHIL COLLINS is the Drummer?
it's Phil Collins on drum
A beautiful song about a terrible subject DV....
Can you react to Badman's Song next? It's not a single but a standout track on TFF's Seeds of Love album.
Whoever did the captions needs to go back to subtitle-school and hand their degree back!
Who did the captions for this video? Wow..... not even close! It's like they don't even know English....
Lyrics in the Subtitles are so off in this.
Better turn off captions. They are wrong. Better to listen to the lyrics.
Good grief. Did someone whose first language isn't English do the lyrics for this video? They weren't even close.
