- The man behind the Muppets (Jim Henson) finally has a documentary coming out this month on Disney Plus. Muppet fan Ben is super excited to watch the trailer for Jim Henson Idea Man, and his best friend Ediz has of course never seen the Muppets... He wasn't even 100% sure who Jim Henson was!

I am so excited for this documentary! All of Jim Henson’s creations were a big part of my childhood. They still inspire me today. From the Muppets and Fraggle Rock, to Sesame Street and The Dark Crystal. The Muppets taught me to be myself, laugh at myself, dream big, and spread happiness. Fraggle Rock taught me about peace, tolerance, and caring for the planet. Sesame Street taught me ABCs and 123s, but also how to be a good friend. The Dark Crystal taught me the importance of standing up for what’s right. Jim Henson's works touched my life and the lives of many others. He changed the world. As long as there are Muppets in the world, things will be just a little bright than before. Thank you, Jim Henson. Thank you.
Massive Muppet fan. We need more Muppet content. More shows, more theme park representation, more video games and most importantly more movies… just use them for god sake.
I hope they touch on how inclusive Jim Henson was. He was friends with openly gay people like Richard Hunt (who performed Scooter) and created a safe space for them during a time when there weren't many safe spaces for the queer community.

@@EdizAndBen He seemed like a fantastic individual. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend the biography of him by Brian Jay Jones if you want to learn more stories like this about Jim Henson. I remember reading in the biography that Jerry Nelson's daughter, Christine, had cystic fibrosis. At one point, when the Henson Associates’ insurance provider had notified Jim that it would no longer be paying Christine’s medical expenses, Jim had insisted that Henson Associates change insurance companies to ensure costs for Christine's treatment. Nelson thanked him and Jim Henson said, "Jerry, that’s what insurance companies are for.."

She's definitely still alive because she did a commencement address at a local university recently.

I actually saw this trailer, looks really good i am excited for this, now before I knew the muppets and Fraggle rock, EVER like existed i did know about Sesame Street cause i did watched sesame street when I was ALOT younger so I knew that, and i did watched the dark crystal. I think my first introduction of the muppets was the 2011 movie that they did but after that I did watch like the classic muppet movies, like, the muppet show, the muppet movie, the great muppet caper, muppets from space, also once I knew that I also watch the original Fraggle rock series as well.
When I first saw the trailer for the very first time, I actually sort of got emotional…….. I think the rainbow connection song really got to me. But I am glad you guys reacted to this.

He became a puppeteer because he saw a job listing for a show named the junior morning show for young puppeteers he knew nothing about puppetry he got books from his local Library about puppetry and the rest is histroy
