    Your trail glute is the guiding motion that your torso then follows
    down and around, it just looks right and in sequence !

    Despite years of lessons with a trusted teacher, my backswing has always suffered from crossing the line and inconsistent direction. Your communication style and focus are superb. This video and the "How to Rotate" one led me to discover how I "rose up" because of too much focus on upper abdomen rotation and too much stiffness in the legs to feel "solid." I see you rotating the lower abdomen with the muscles adjoining the legs. This plus shoulder down and around focus have led me to feel those different muscles moving, and more flexibility, wider rotation, and more consistent and accurate direction and distance. Thank you!

    Great tip and I love your style. I'm not as flexible as you or even as I used to be. I've found raising the left heel on the backswing allows my hips and torso to turn more. However, I'm not sure this is the best solution because I lose some balance with this move. A quick lesson on the best way to make a full turn for the stiffer crowd would really help.

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  4 роки тому

      That's a great idea, Richard. I will definitely do a tip on this. Elaborate on stiff? Hips, mid back, shoulders? Where specifically or all of the above!

    Love your videos. Quick question. I played yesterday and did this. I got more distance on drives and the ball went left a lot (not something I mind particularly). Is that something you should expect when using this technique?

  • @shug2795

    Why does it look so natural when you do it?!?!? I'm everything you identify as being the problem(s)! Are you spying on me???? :) Thank you for the great advice.

    I watched this particular lesson a few times....really focused on what you had suggested....my...my...my I was getting off the tee...well and related this to iron and fairway wood play...somewhat of a strange feeling....but the contact and distance improved. CR...I have a tendency to start using my right hand on the downswing...a bit to early...needless to say...I get strikes that drive one crazy. Any suggestions to improve and eliminate this tendency? Many thanks.

      Hi Casey! Great to hear that this tip helped your backswing. Regarding Downswing - Yep you got it - I added to the tip list - I'll post it soon as many struggle with early release. Definitely check out this video on Forward Shaft Lean - a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/m2S69qdlmOc/v-deo.html

    As a very senior golfer, I find that by pushing off on instep of my left foot will get Left knee back and cause my left shoulder to track down and around.

  • @davidmarilley6060
    @davidmarilley6060 4 роки тому +2

    Is a good check to make sure the left shoulder is not banging into your chin at the top? I ask because I was trying to figure out how a player was avoiding it. Some teachers say raise the chin, but maybe not enough down is being accommodated by a raised chin with negative consequences.

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, if your lead shoulder covers your face or you feel like its banging into it, that could mean more of a lift of the arms versus enough torso rotation. Arms lift..but torso also needs to rotate. That is a tip in the making!

    Keep head central or you will move off the ball resulting in poor lag and lots of fat shots
